The whole experience was great, from the moment we walked in, we were escorted to our room, which was very welcoming. I loved the fact that the owners were workin, not sitting there expectingvtheir staff to do ecerything. They were very hands on Foid was excellent, service was excelkent I asked for a bottle of Prosecco to be in our room on arrival, and it was in an ice bucket and 2 gkasses (even though we all forgot it was in their fridge when we left, and had to go back!)
Just a very tiny niggle, our waste paper basket was not emptied which was a little disappointing. We only got biscuits in our room the first day. One of the loops on the dressing giwn was broken, and there were no chocolates on the pillow, unless I assume this is for the Executive rooms (the video shows these) These are very tiny niggles as we loved it, and will certainly be back x

Firstly, I must complement Ted, one of your bar staff. He checked us in and upon our request changed our room to a garden view. He was extremely attentive to our needs during our stay. Friendly, competent and just wonderful to interact with. The Hand is in a beautiful location and we enjoyed our two nights there. Had dinner in the restaurant in the first night and at the bar the second. Really enjoyed the food on both nights. Cooked breakfasts were good.
Our bed was a bit lumpy to be honest and that made our two nights sleep a bit uncomfortable. The breakfast duffer was a bit disappointing if you didn’t fancy a cooked breakfasts were, however having said that, the cooked breakfast was lovely and very quick.

An absolute gem of a place. The team at the Hand are excellent and make you feel welcome throughout your entire stay. The food is exceptional! Breakfast is well worth the spend with tons of choice and quality food. The evening menu is also amazing and offers lots of choice and quality produce. The hot tub and sauna are a brilliant addition, and we loved the luxury of the quiet hills in the background and total peace and quiet. The room was clean and stocked with high quality products and robes for the hot tub. Very highly recommended for an off grid, all you need in one place, getaway!

The evening dinner was wonderful and so was the breakfast The only noise at night was the tractors and in the morning but that can't be helped as it's their busy time of year. The hot water for the bath was so fast flowing that I wished the pressure at home was like that. They were very kind and gave us a special book about the area as it was our wedding anniversary.
Everything and everyone were wonderful so nothing could be done better

The staff were very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The outside hot tub and sauna were a pleasant surprise and had lovely views of the hills, Robes were provided to use in the spa facilities. Both the evening meal and breakfast were good. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the bar area is very nice.
My only criticism would be that there were no baked beans on the breakfast so I was disappointed I had nothing to go with the toast.

A beautiful, cosy pub with a large open fire, in front of which we spent a lovely afternoon. Pleasant staff, especially Margo and Jackie. A wonderfully delicious evening meal, highly recommended! Large comfortable bed, really clean warm rooms and the home made biscuits were a lovely touch. A large, tasty breakfast. Thank you! We had a fantastic stay!
Evwrything was wonderful. We would have appreciated being told on arrival that we needed only to have asked to use the hot tub.

Really enjoyed our short stay ( we were attending a concert in Llangollen )Friendly helpful staff, very good food. Slept very well in comfortable beds despite the heatwave. Looked out of the window at sheep grazing in the fields...very peaceful. Would recommend this country inn
My only comment would be the roads over the top to get there were very narrow but the Chirk road was much better.

The food was exceptional, top quality produce cooked perfectly. The room was clean, well decorated and spacious with a nice amount of tea and coffee facilities. Very relaxing place to stay.
Being an older property with lots of character, the sound insulation between my room and next door room was not up to the standard you get with modern hotels. I could hear talking and their extract fan, but was only a minor concern.

The Hand is a charming hotel in beautiful surroundings. We loved the pub area. A wood fire was burning and the room was so cozy. The dining room was beautiful too and our dinner was delicious. We walked to the nearby church where there are huge evergreens that have been there for years and are loved and visited by many.
We would have preferred a larger bed. It was small and cramped for two people. Also more hooks in the bathroom and bedroom would have been useful.

Clean comfortable cosy room and bathroom. Lovely breakfast with chef providing vegetarian and vegan meals on request. Adequate parking. Very willing and helpful staff service. Peaceful location.
A bit remote and isolated. Nearly 8 miles of very narrow single track Farm B roads with steep gradients once leaving main A5 road. Not straightforward to find good long interesting footpaths/places for walks off road. Could offer vegetarian and vegan options on the food menu. None there at present.
