Nice room, clean and comfy. Staff were all friendly and our dog was welcome. The hotel itself is pretty, plants outside are outstanding.

Toilet seat was a bit iffy, it sort of collapses when you sit on it. two out of three light bulbs were out and both bath taps say cold. No food available for us on Sunday evening or Monday morning for breakfast There was a street party going on outside, I do wish we had been told when we booked. It was very loud and did make it hard to get about and everywhere that served food was full so we ended up eating a sandwich from sainsburys

Spacious room. Comfy bed. Lovely big claw bath. Tea and coffee in room. We’re not really breakfast people so didn’t use this service. Staff very accommodating and polite. Rooms cleaned and replenished everyday. We liked the little room dedicated to Keith moon who use to own the pub in the 60s & 70s. Great location. Jeremy clarksons pub only 25 minutes away well worth a visit and diddly squat farm shop minutes away. Bourbon the water 30 minutes away and stow on the wold about 15 minutes away all very easy to get to with sat nav. Great bakery and lovely coffee shop nearby. We managed to get parked in car park which is accessed of the high street round the back of the pub. Lovely big pub and wasn’t noisy at all at night so slept well.

I like soya or oat milk and they had a few sachets that they gave me but said they don’t always have it, although I didn’t request this when booking as I didn’t think I needed to as I thought most places now have that choice. I think by not serving dinner until 6.30pm they are missing out on potential customers as we found this too late to eat so went elsewhere. They’re the only two things we didn’t like. Having said that we would stay again and would recommend to others as a good place to stay.

A lovely hotel with a lot of history in a good location. Our room was a comfy double 4 poster bedded room (Room 22) which was very spacious with the bed being on a raised area with steps leading up to it and a little sitting area below with the tv and dressing table. Breakfast was extra and just a continental breakfast during the week, but there was a good selection of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, pastries and tea and coffee for £9 each, so worth the money.

Our bathroom was a bit small and the shower was over the roll top bath with a shower curtain pulled around you so it was a little cramped. Parking at the back of the property was a bit tight, especially when it got busier.

We went to The Crown & Cushion for 2 nights as it was our 48th wedding anniversary and we can honestly say we wasn't disappointed in fact we were overwhelmed by the Hotels generosity! we got upgraded to a four poster bed room with wine, Chocolates, balloon, rose, fairy lights, and on the bed a towel Swan surrounded by petals. we couldn't have happier and it made our special day even better. Absolutely love the hotel it is in a prime position in walking distance of pubs, cafe and shops. The staff are so friendly and nothing is to much trouble, they work so hard to please. We had a couple of meals at the hotel and food was first class and plenty of it. We have already decided that we will definitely return again to The Crown & Cushion. Thank you all for making our 2 nights with you very special.

Initially our twin room was on 3rd floor as it was the best for a view, but one person has some difficulties with a lot of stairs and there’s no lift. No problem changing it and they even allowed me to choose our room from ones available after a little tour! Fabulous staff and owner advised us on places to visit. Came for Diddly Squat which is only a few miles away. Bourton on the Water beautiful. Room was comfortable, spotless and perfect for us. Bar area lovely. Didn’t try the continental breakfast that was available as we are not breakfast people. Hotel is in perfect central spot for visiting the restaurants and pubs. Free car park at rear too. Cannot fault it, and will definitely stay here again if another trip in the area 😊

The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was a lovely size, clean and warm a little worn but that added to the character of the old hotel. Although a limited menu, the food was very nice and well priced, so where the drinks. The weekend full breakfast was really good and the Monday continental was more that adequate and again value for money. The local people were also really friendly and the bar atmosphere was really nice. It is perfect for many locations such as Oxford, Blenheim Palace and many other Cotswold locations.

The only minor compliant I have, is the bed was too hard for me. But I did not mention it, and if I had I am sure that the staff would have either changed rooms for me or assisted in some other way.

The staff were very friendly and provided a great service. The bar is great, very traditional with a great atmosphere. The bar prices were cheap, serving local cask ales. A good range of spirits and wines too. Sunday lunch was very good indeed, freshly cooked with homemade Yorkshire puddings and piping hot. Cooked breakfast the following morning was very good quality. The restaurant is in keeping with the olde world, traditional feel. We had a wonderful four poster bedroom which was comfortable. Room facilities were good and very clean. The shower room and power shower was very good too. Can't make a negative comment, will definitely return.

Receptionist was very friendly and helpful with parking when we arrived on motorbike. Comfy bed and a clean, good sized room, at the back of the hotel so really quiet too. Location was ideal for our trip.

Decor/carpets a bit dated. Wanted to grab some crisp and nuts at 11pm to take back to our room (no alcohol) as we'd arrived too late to get food from them but was refused. We should have gotten them earlier but after 5hrs on a motorbike we just wanted to chill and didn't expect such a strict finish in the bar. We went out and grabbed a kebab from a little van across the road. That being said, we would still stay here again

It was perfect for what i needed. I booked a single room for one night, i actually got a small double bed which was felt like an upgrade. Kettle, private bathroom, great. No formal brekkie but did offer fruit and pastry the night before to take up with you. Central location in Chipping Norton. Close to lots of pubs and the little shops on the highstreet. Perfect stay for going to see Blenheim Palace.

As it is a pub you will get noise from downstairs but perfectly manageable and the bar closes at a reasonable time, so didnt disturb my sleep. A bathmat and iron would have been useful.

Lovely old building . Room was clean and comfortable, staff very friendly . Good location for shops , plenty of tea shops and cafes . If you are fan of Clarksons farm then you will sometimes see Kaleb driving through with his tractor - we were lucky he did just that on the day we were gift shopping- No complaints , just a slight niggle . The mattress was very firm so not the most comfortable. There is very limited parking and breakfast not available on weekdays however , there are plenty of little cafes a few minutes away so it was not a problem - “the old mill “do a very nice breakfast , good price , food was cooked very quickly . We enjoyed our stay overall .
