Beautiful inn, lovely attentive staff, unique yummy food, stunning draft beers, quiet and specious room. Lots of character! Magical setting, fire places and rooms above inn, smell like a fresh spa. Gorgeous storing space and very useful radiator. Also fresh pastries, straight from the kitchen! And lots of thought was put in details, from food to rooms. Making the beds daily, while you're still in breakfast. Felt like there're fairies in the building :)
Pillows extremely thin, a bit sac of potatoes-y, bed too soft and springy for our taste and sofa bed has lumpy 3 noticeable parts, pokes in the back. Found previous guest scrunchie poking from underneath the bed, bathtub could use a bit of refreshing, windows need a bit of mold removing and struggling with slow TV and unstable remote control. But overall magical positive experience that overshadows it all! Thank you for having us.

Everything! The room was well decorated, cosy and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was possibly one of the tastiest I have had in recent years and the meal we had in your restaurant was equally good. I found the staff to be incredibly helpful and friendly & would highly recommend your establishment.
The wood fire wasn’t working properly which was disappointing as the dining room lacked warmth and atmosphere as a result. Ps: living in Europe has made me very spoilt with regard to efficient underfloor heating so I’m always cold in England when I visit.

Loved my stay at the Pear tree. Staff were really friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious. I loved the home made granola and selection of fruit, yoghurt and other continental bits to help yourself to. The hot breakfast was also fantastic and great portion sizes, and many dishes to choose from including traditional English breakfast, home made pancakes, eggy bread and many more. We didn't have dinner but looks forward to coming back for dinner sometime, if it is half as good as breakfast then I am sure it will be lovely. I enjoyed having a drink in the cosy bar area and would liked to have spent more time there. Also lots of lovely outdoor seating areas for nicer weather.
Only fault I could find and this just a personal thing is the headboard on the bed looked a little grubby. I feel like it would be better replaced with an easier to clean surface such as leather.

Awesome room with a nice bath and large bed. The complimentary sweets were really awesome. Breakfast was very good, as it is in most of England. Parking lot is big and the place is easy to reach. The 'new' owners really went above and beyond to bring new life into this place. Every room comes with a history book that tells you about their struggle, and you can see for yourself that they really made it work.
The town itself is nothing special (no offense meant). I went for a walk through the town in the evening on a nice summer evening, but there was no one around and it felt like it was at least 30 years past its peak.

It was an amazing short break. The room was full of character with loads of amenities. Bed and pillows very comfortable, we had a very good night sleep. Room was very clean, we stayed 2 nights and they changed our towels and made the bed the second morning. Breakfast was to die for, especially on the second day - different chef, you could tell...The 2 girls serving the breakfast very friendly and helpful. They didn't wear any name tag so unable to be more personal. We didn't dine at the restaurant as we looked at the reviews on trip advisor and lately weren't that great...but maybe we should've tried. Plenty of walks, close to small villages, close to Bath. Anyway, we loved it. Definitely we will come back.
That we didn't book for a week !!!!

Gorgeous summer gardens, room clean and downstairs was comfortable (family room, Taylor’s Gold). Good access to the garden from the room for our dog (and us!). Lovely gin cocktail and great food. Liked the decor throughout. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The family room is really only suitable for adults travelling with children (adventurous ones!) as the mezzanine is very tricky to navigate (no handrails for example and ceiling low to beds) - the single beds need new mattresses too. Having said that, I do have a dodgy knee so perhaps it all felt extra tricky where it may not bother younger, fitter adults? (We were two family adults and a dog)

Beautiful pub with rooms, full of character and interesting decor. Exceptional food and friendly staff. This was a great choice for a family occasion, we were able to relax by the fire, great bar selection, delicious evening meal and we all very much enjoyed breakfast!
Not sure there’s anything we would improve on, we loved our stay. Perhaps only to have slightly later bar access as residents, last orders before 10pm, appreciate it was a quiet time of year (Jan) but was at a weekend.

The room was modern, spacious and very comfortable. I particularly liked the repurposing of vintage items, for example a vintage bread bin as the waste bin. The room had a large wet room with a powerful shower and fluffy towels big enough to wrap yourself in. The staff were welcoming and very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. I also ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was so good that I have booked to eat here again
There is nothing to dislike!

The Hut in which I stayed was just perfect; out in the gardens of the Pear Tree, the staff could not be more welcoming toward me, or indeed my dog, who the staff made a big fuss of!! The welcome basked was a lovely touch, and everything fitted in the hut really well; I've stayed in the main Inn before, which was lovely, but the outside huts are just great. It was.t great weather, but I had a little deck around the side of the Hut, which was perfect, secluded and private.
Really couldn't be improved, it was a really enjoyable stay.

We stayed in the Potting Shed at Pear Tree Inn during the "heat wave". The accommodation was cute and clean, and our room had everything we needed in it including a fan! We had both dinner and breakfast during our stay as well - both meals were simple but yum. The gardens were lovely and we dined outdoors for our evening meal. The only downside was it did take a while for the lights to turn on as they appeared to be linked to a timer and not manually able to be put on when the sun set. The room was simple, and the bed comfortable - it was great for a one night stay. The price was a bit steep for what we got however it suited our plans as we continued our road trip through the Costwolds.
On the evening we stayed the restaurant was not serving a full menu, it would've been great if we could've been advised earlier or offered some form of apology (or even maybe a complimentary drink?) for the inconvenience, as we did to call to book dinner but weren't notified of the reduced menu.
