Location. Lots of parking spaces. Access to the grounds, which are quite large and offered a lovely view from our ground floor garden room. Quiet at night. Comfy bed. Good night's sleep. Tea and coffee facilities. Room clean and well proportion, light and airy. Sofa is a nice addition to the room. Breakfast was very good and staff were attentive and friendly. There is a bar on site, again with friendly staff. Enjoyable stay.
In our bathroom, there wasn't any storage cupboards or a shelf. The only flat surface was the windowsill. There wasn't a grab rail for exiting the bath/shower. This could be tricky for some people as the bath can become slippery.

Beautiful surroundings with friendly staff. Easy check in. Our superior double room 1 was large with seperate bath and double shower with views over rear garden. Huge bed with spare pillows available. Reception closes at 11pm, access to the hotel after this by key card allowing you to come and go as you please. Drinks and bar meal prices were reasonable, breakfast was included in our room booking, £15 if paid separately. A good selection of options which arrived in good time and very hot! Evening meal of fish and chips was fabulous and well worth the money.
Every creak of the visitors in the room above were heard, it must be a big room as they managed to get a run in up there! Breakfast was hot but a little dry, like it had been put under a hot blast which caused the bacon and hash browns to be well cooked and hard going. No bar staff, we had to call in staff members from elsewhere to serve us a drink, my husband was ignored by a member of the team when stood at reception, no acknowledgement until address to be told speak to one of the lads. We had a walk around the grounds, several piles of rubbish and broken items we didn't expect to see in public accessible areas.

Beautiful building, and gardens. Lovely room, large and comfortable, bathroom with walk in shower and claw foot large stand alone bath. All junior staff friendly and attentive.
Very little in the way of toiletries in the bathroom. Only a couple of small portions of bath/shower gel. At breakfast the first morning, the person on front of house was helping in the dinning room, she did not acknowledge us at all or make eye contact, and proceeded to talk with a couple at the next table for 12 mins, while we waited for our order to be taken. Eventually we were served by a delightful member of waiting staff.

This hotel is situated very close to the M4 in a small village. It is a beautiful old manor house with a well kept garden. We were there at the beginning of March and there was an abundance of snowdrops and primroses in the grounds. Our room was spacious leading out onto the garden, and we had chairs and a small table outside. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast; both were delicious with ample choices and served quickly. Fantastic value for money.
We would like to have stayed longer!

The Superior room over looking the garden was very large, with a large bathroom and bed. Spare pillows and an iron with ironing board which was useful. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Dinner was good especially the steak, and the wine reasonably priced. The staff were very helpful in the dining room.
The shower in the cubical was very low pressure and hardly worked, so had to use the hand shower attachment in the bath. The cubical was a bit mouldy and the grout needed cleaning.

Our bedroom was excellent - large and comfortable. The bathroom was also excellent. The gardens are beautiful. All the staff were friendly and helpful to the extent that we stayed and extra night to we could experience the Garden Village Fete which was help in the hotel grounds. The staff encouraged the local come in and use the facilities and we were told by other guests that the hotel had improved significantly since the new owners took over.
Breakfast was good if a little expensive - I ended up eating cereal everyday! Dinner was vaiable - some meals - like the lamb was excellent - other meals like the fish and chips was sometimes not so good.

The location is superb.Situated in the Cotswolds and very picturesque. The grounds and garden of the hotel are beautiful as is the building itself. A special mention for Ceri the manager who bent over backwards to accommodate our special requirements.Because of her alone we would definitely be staying again here. The bath was massive and comfy as was the bed.
The only issue was the bed which was comfortable and huge..but the single sheet covering the bed topper on top of the mattress(no sheet) didn't make us want to sleep under the thin duvet. But still only a minor issue.

The two rooms, one for us as a couple, and the other for our adult son, were wonderfully spacious. We could get together in the evenings very comfortably in our room, eg to play cards together. With carefrul selection of which windows to open, the nearby motorway noise was minimally intrusive.
There was some building work going on on the floor immediatley above our son's room, with loud drilling every morning which made sleeping in, and even remaining in his room, impossible for him. The impact was less severe, but still noticeable, in our room.

Lovely setting. Hotel extraordinarily clean. This cleanliness was very noticeable in all the shared areas in particular. Extremely helpful staff. The staff were young and all lovely. Ceri who answered the bookings and was on reception was really diligent and excellent. A young man working on the bar (with a beard) went out of his way to be cheerful and friendly and sort out a dinner that wasn't on the menu for me on Sunday. I'd be interested to see the bigger/older rooms but our annexe room was large and very well designed with a great bathroom.
The dinner menu was really brilliant in terms of starters - some very interesting food like Broccoli Tempura. I think this needed to be transferred more through to the main courses which were still a bit traditional meat and chips and a bit too 'British' value for me - or maybe I just needed to eat two starters! The Caesar salad was great. Slightly variable approach to porridge at breakfast! - This has - spookily - been mentioned elsewhere but really these latter are extremely small things and the breakfast menu etc is great.
