We absolutely love The Bike & Boot! It has EVERYTHING we need … great, friendly super helpful staff, great location, cool decor, comfortable beds, fantastic facilities in the rooms and throughout the hotel, powerful showers, big soft towels, well stocked mini bar, complementary water, tea and Nespresso coffee and FRESH MILK in the rooms, dressing tables with lighting and double power sockets (it’s the little details that make the difference) complimentary hot drinks and delicious afternoon cakes in the lounge…. A great bar (try the Nassau Sour!) and delicious food in the restaurant I could just go on and on and on all day about all the great things at this hotel! Ot really is fantastic and great value for money too!

We have always had a fantastic stay here every time we’ve been!

Clean, good location, walking distance to everything from the high street to South Bay to Scarborough Castle! The room and bathroom was clean and well organised. Key-card access to the inner building so only residents/employees could actually get in. Good continental breakfast options and breakfast ran during reasonable hours so we didn’t have to get up mega-early to still enjoy the food. Parking was easy enough to manage. Dog friendly and, although we don’t have a dog ourselves, we do adore them so that brought an extra element of joy to our stay. Room and hotel very well themed - there are bikes and bike parts as well as boots of different varieties throughout the hotel areas.

No outward signs on the building to identify the hotel, only realised we had found it after pulling up and looking up the name of their restaurant which IS named on the building. Did not appreciate the £25 hold for a mini-bar that we did not want or know about & the guy who was at check-in was a bit abrupt about it “everyone just pays it”. My partner and I were on a tight budget so it meant we had to be even more frugal than originally anticipated.

The Bike & Boot is a hotel I’ve wanted to stay at for a long time & it didn’t disappoint. Perfect, easy welcome & check-in. Lovely, cosy warm & inviting lounge areas. Great drinks options - free coffee available & lovely cake provided at 16:00. The room we stayed in was a mini loft suite costing £82.00 for the night & was exceptional. Perfectly comfy bed & luxury linen, clean, bright & modern decoration & sparkling clean bathroom with all the toiletries needed - soft, plush towels. An easy to use Smart TV, great coffee machine & amazing sea view via the Velux windows. The restaurant was amazing - food very good and fairly priced. The overall service from all the staff we encountered was excellent in every way. So glad we stayed - thank you B&B!

Nothing - all great!

The thoughtful little extras just make this place so good. We stayed in a suite with our two dogs which was situated with its own entrance off the street which was ideal. The suite was spacious and it was good that the main bedroom had a door to separate it off and keep the doggos out. The rooms are equipped with a mini bar and a lovely lavazza coffee machine with fresh milk in the fridge each mornings. I liked how the shower room had complimentary shampoo and conditioner as well as shower gel and hand wash and hand cream. Shower was powerful with a rainfall shower head too. The super king bed was really comfortable with an additional tv in the bedroom as well as in the living area. There was a hairdryer and iron and ironing board too. The main hotel area was so cosy. The staff were really friendly and made time to chat and fuss the dogs. There was complementary tea and coffee (and cake at 4pm). The other guests all seemed so likeminded and with the majority also having dogs with them created a lovely community of people. We ate lunch in the Bareca restaurant and it was absolutely amazing food. Selection of drinks were vast. Hotel is set in a beautiful elevated location. There is a little park to the left of the hotel which is especially handy for letting the dogs out on a morning. Only a 5 min walk to the beach which was lovely and quiet with a few other dog walkers again such lovely people we spoke to. I did notice that there were guests that had been many times before - I can see why. Fully equipped dog washing and grooming facilities on site and little extras like poop bags and dog treats were also free. Can’t wait to return later in the year.

Our room was slightly lower ground floor so there was no view from our room at all. I didn’t specify a sea view room when booking but there is that option. Didn’t make too much difference because we were only in the room on an evening when it was dark anyway and the blinds were closed.

Whenever we stay in Scarborough, the Bike & Boot Hotel has become out go-to. It's close enough to the sea and the town centre meaning we can park up the car and walk everywhere. The food in the hotel is exceptional; we really enjoyed our evening meal and the breakfast the next day. I still haven't got the hang of getting runny yolks and cooked whites when I boil the eggs but if I keep coming, I'll get there eventually. The pancakes and bacon, though, make up for my lack of gastronomical talent. The rooms are very comfortable and I like that it's dog-friendly as well.

The only thing that is a negative for the hotel is the limited car parking spaces, but that's not really something the hotel can do anything about!

Excellent hotel, lovely decor and great facilities. Staff were very welcoming, such a brilliant place if you have a dog and to say how many were there when we stayed it was super clean. On arrival a pet mat and little dog toy was provided for furbaby whch was a nice touch. Location is excellent next to the Spa Bridge and the price was better than a Premier Inn/Travelodge! The coffee machine and fridge in the room with fresh milk and bottled water was appreciated, plus the roomy shower was a pleasant surprise. Amazing stay, couldn't say enough good things about this place.

Only one thing I could list as a negative, I personally don't like mini bars in the room, I think the fridge could be better utilised. Car park was full but then not many hotels in Scarborough can fully accommodate all guests and there is a pay and display nearby.

Lovely stay our first time here and would return. Very clean and staff friendly. Close to the town and lovely walk to the seafront. Breakfast was lovely, continental but lots of choice. Only things I would mark down for are £25 hold on your card when checking in fair enough its returned but this isn't clear until your there. I myself took a dog and I know its a dog hotel. However I disagree with dogs being allowed to be taken into the breakfast area where you select your food. Fine with them being in the restaurant ect but not where the food is. The rooms are very hot!! We switched our radiator off and it was still boiling.

Every single member of staff were super friendly and helpful. Each one of you made our stay fantastic, from helping us with local information to a friendly chat at the bar or on our way up to our room. Really personable staff that you can see, clearly enjoy their jobs! Dog friendly, which was wonderful, because we don't have our own dog, it was lovely to greet all the lovely pooches staying in the hotel. Even they were properly catered for with little treats and water bowls around the hotel rooms. The rooms are beautifully made over, quirky and cute. The little extra touches from the coffee machines, cake, water, fresh milk etc in the minifridge just made the stay that little bit extra special. The biking facilities, dog wash stations, which we didn't use still looked great and will bear that in mind for the future. The food in the Bareca bar was fantastic, don't waste your time going to Ask Italian, this place is so good. The food is fresh and authentic, filling and tasty. You MUST try the cocktails from the bar... so much thought has gone into creating each one on the menu, all created by trained mixologists. Although our stay in Scarborough was fun, what truely made it for us was this hotel. Totally unique and we actually found it hard to leave to go wandering around the town. We will definitely be back! Would have liked to stayed longer!

All of the facilities are dog friendly, the owners have a great concept and are clearly dog lovers as they have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible with your pooch. Easy check in, appreciated the parking permit too. Our room was spacious and had lovely sea views. The bed was really comfy! Location was great, just a few minutes walk into town or down onto the seafront. Staff were very friendly. We will definitely stay here again with our pup and will also consider a visit to their sister site in the Peak district!

Everything! The style of the hotel generally. Easy check-in......Modern rooms, clean and spacious with personality and a nod to Scarborough itself. The coffee machine and unlimited access to coffee pods, the 4pm cake, but mostly the staff, warm friendly professional.....and the hotel is perfect for dog owners like us. We especially like the generous, quality breakfast. Recommend upgrading to a room with sea views....stunning

Couldn't access the restaurant because another dog tried to attack ours and frightened her. Not the hotel's fault. However, maybe ask guests to ensure their dogs are on a lead at all times in guest areas
