The location was excellent right in the heart of Romsey with great bus and train connections. We ate in the restaurant which was nice and the food was good quality. Our room was very quaint and a little lopsided.

Our room faced the busy town which was fine during the day but lots of activity during the early hours with draymen etc., if I stayed again I would request a room out back. We also had a door between our room and bathroom which had to be locked which was strange especially if you needed the bathroom during the night. There were also works going on in the hotel which we were not told of at the time of our booking which restricted our dining experiences.

Staff were excellent, food was very good and the room, despite being a little small, was extremely cosy and surprisingly quiet. Little home touches like a nite wishing you a pleasent stay and high quality body wash, shampoo and conditioner were great additions to their modern bathroom with a towel heater for a comfortable stay!

The room was a bit snug because of the bed, and trying to unpack a suitcase turned out to be a little bit more trouble than I had anticipated. Also, it seemed like the curtains had been screwed into the wall but left just a little slither of light come through in the morning. Very minor issues.

We liked everything about our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room, though small, was very comfortable and clean, ideal for a short stay. Breakfast was superb, faultless and served beautifully. The decor and design is traditional and very welcoming, right in the heart of Romsey, which is a lovely little bustling town, with everything you need within walking distance. The highlight of our stay was dinner in the hotel restaurant. The three course meal we ate was probably the finest we have ever had in a restaurant ever. - absolutely delicious. We've certainly never had better, and we are real foodies. I would thoroughly recommended the White Horse Hotel.

Nothing. Everything was exceptional.

The location is great, right in the main square, about a 12-14 minute walk from the station. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the shower was amazing, the room was extremely clean and pretty. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was a little small, but enough for only two nights. Overall we were really happy with our choice of hotel and we would recommend it to anyone. Also, there is a courtyard outside and tables and chairs where you can sit and have a drink, and they have live musicians singing/playing which was lovely. (We stayed in August)

Air con would have been nice, but there was a fan, which we used at night.

Excellent breakfast, loads of choice with food and drinks. Service from the staff was very quick and efficient. The staff in general went out of their way to be incredibly helpful, polite and knowledgeable. The team looking after the room cleaning were absolutely fantastic and kept the room spotless . Reception staff were so helpful.

Please could we have some music playing in the background as a routine when having breakfast. This creates a much more relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. As it was I had to ask for music to be put oh each day.

The hotel is lovely, perfect location in the centre of Romsey and the staff are all very welcoming. Our room was small but cozy and comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. Both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were delicious.

The one drawback was the lack of any parking at the hotel but also understandable given the location. It wasn't an issue though as there is very reasonably priced parking available at the Alma road car park which is a 5/6 min walk away and you can buy a ticket the night before so don't need to worry about it in the morning!

Wow!! The White Horse was just lovely from stepping through the doors to the very end of our stay. What a fabulous place to stay filled with history. Very friendly staff from start to end, nothing was to much trouble for them. Our room was great with beautiful furnishings,even down to the little duck in the bathroom. It was the small touches which made it in the room. Books, playing cards, really great coffee machine with real great coffee, something you always want when you get in. And the best breakfast made to order to your liking when you go down. Well done!!

I don't think there was one single thing I could fault at all. Our stay was just perfect from start to finish.

We loved the staff, they were really chatty and kind. The room was amazing, and even had a little balcony overlooking the courtyard. The food was exceptional. All in a central location in the middle of Romsey.

I can't think of anything we would change - it was generally very pleasant. I guess the only slight disappointment was that there wasn't too much of a range on for the Continental breakfast - it would have been even better had there been more choice of pastries, for example. But we honestly had a lovely stay and would definitely return.

The staff were very kind and extremely helpful. Our room was a great size, clean and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the breakfast, and our little dog was made extremely welcome too. Even though there isn't any parking on site, Alma Long Stay car park is very close by and is well priced. Great location, nice food and lovely atmosphere, would stay again.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. The only things I would mention is we were meant to have robes and slippers in our room, but we didn't have any (may be because we had our pup with us or just an oversight). On the first night of arriving, we had dinner booked for 7. There were a couple of items that weren't available, which was a shame, although what we did have was delicious. Something to note is that if you are bringing your four-legged companion, you can not eat in the main restaurant. You can still have the same food, but this will be served to you in the bar/lounge area. We didn't know this until we arrived but it was also a nice space so no problem.

It was absolutey gorgeous.... I worked here with my late wife many years ago. Strange to be back but the decor excels what it used to be.

The price was repellent for overnight stays. I would use it regularly but the finances dont equate to my regularity. I stay away alot recently.... and the white horse has become fixed in my memory. It was a difficult stay because I'm an Astra Zenecca Vaccine victim about to die. I have 80% of my lungs ruined with planetarily clustered blood clots. Im innoperable. I literally wait to die which is why I came back for the memories I had of my wife who is already in heaven when she was 29. I'm sorry but there it is. I'd stay again but I cannot work any more. Its all in Gods hands.
