This was the perfect stopping off place for a trip to Skomer island. Chris and Sarah were lovely hosts. We enjoyed the breakfast and the dinners and the packed lunches. We had a day trip to Skomer and another day where we hiked down to the Marlow Sands beach. It was gorgeous. It is a very small town, so people looking for shopping will not find it there. But it was quaint and perfect for walking. There were more paths we could have explored with more time. We traveled by public transport, so it was a bit tricky. We used a taxi and the Fflecsi bus. If you want to use Fflecsi bus, do not plan to arrive or leave on a Sunday and DO book your trip in advance.

The location is perfect for anyone visiting Skomer. Ten minutes drive to the National Trust car park at the St Martins haven. Pleasant garden at rear with tables and chairs plus seating at front of pub. Nice atmosphere. Food is typical pub fare but freshly cooked and well presented. We felt it was a good two night stay.

Given it’s a pub based B&B, there are going to be compromises. Rooms are on small side but fine for short stay. New owners so suspect decorating will be on the to do list as slightly tired but clean.

The location of The Lobster Pot is the best for a visit to Skomer, being on the same road and only approx 2mile from Martin's haven embarkation point. Our host could not have done more for us ie keeping our frozen food in their freezer and providing fresh milk to take on our trip. The rooms are a little tired looking and no luxuries but perfectly adequate for our needs. Our evening meals were very good, vegies are well catered for here. We stayed on a Friday evening and there was an open mic held in the bar for all the local musicians and singers. A very enjoyable experience with a real community feel. Breakfast was cooked to order, plentiful and served from 7am, plenty of time to digest before leaving for Skomer. The current hosts have only be there for 6wks and are really making an effort to run a successful business. We will definitely be back next year whilst visiting Skomer.

As previously stated, the property could do with a bit of an update/refurb but this is a new venture for the current hosts and I wish them good luck for the future.

We stayed here for 2 nights prior to a stay on Skomer Island. Sarah and Chris were very welcoming. This is not the Ritz, but the bedroom (room 1) was comfortable, clean and warm. We slept really well. The breakfasts were tasty with a lot of choice. Ideal location for a stay in this part of Wales.

Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable and there was a good selection of toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast was lovely - we had fruit and cereals with a lovely choice of extras and Steve made us a bacon sandwich to go instead of having cooked. It was delicious.

Only a tiny thing - it was chilly when we went down for dinner but they put the heating on for us and it warmed up.

Very clean. Plenty of tea, coffee, bathroom accessories, etc. Bottled water provided. Evening meal choice was good and plentiful - need to like chips! Staff very helpful and went out of their way to make stay pleasant.

Breakfast could be improved, but was made up for with free picnic lunch. Mattress a little lumpy. Landlord had only taken over pub 18 weeks previously and admitted they were still finding their feet over some items.

There was a huge choice for breakfast which you ordered the night before. The host was really accommodating to our request to have a packed breakfast sandwich as we didn’t have time to sit down due to catching the boat to Skomer. The bar meals were amazing but the portions enormous! The room was really well equipped, clean and comfortable with lots of extras like biscuits, bottled water, toiletries and hot drinks. The room was spacious and quiet so we had a good night’s sleep with great pillows.

I missed not having a hairdryer but overall it didn’t make much difference as it was warm enough to dry naturally. We didn’t ask for one but there could have been one available.

Our room, though relatively small and simple, was clean and filled the bill for a one night stay. We ate dinner in the restaurant and were made to feel very welcome. We had a full breakfast which was freshly prepared and very good.

There are very few accommodations in the area and therefore the price is a bit high for the quality of the room.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was beyond what we were expecting, incredibly clean and cosy, loads of amenities provided (I especially liked the hot chocolate!) and incredibly comfortable beds. The breakfast was also delicious and plentiful.

Honestly everything was great! The bathroom could have been larger and the lighting a bit better but that's minimal.
