A Timeless Escape at Redworth Hall — A Solo Stay to Remember My solo stay at Redworth Hall Hotel was nothing short of incredible. I was looking for a place to relax, unwind, and take in some history—and this place delivered on every level. Set in stunning grounds where wildlife casually strolls past (rabbits on the lawn, birds just feet away), the peaceful atmosphere alone was worth the visit. Discovering a surprising link to my own family history within the hall’s heritage made the experience feel even more personal. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with kindness and respect by every member of staff. Paul, Amy, Kim, Carol, Megan, Chloe, Lynsey, Lynn, Jayden, Jordan, Heavenly, Amira—just to name a few—were all outstanding. Whether it was the bar, kitchen, reception, or management, everyone worked like a well-oiled machine. I watched them handle a large wedding with complete professionalism, yet they still made time to make sure I felt valued as a guest. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the jacuzzi bath was a real highlight—absolutely worth it. The hotel has everything I needed: fast Wi-Fi, a gym, spa, tea and coffee in the room, a lift for easy access, and genuinely thoughtful touches throughout. As someone who uses a crutch, I appreciated how accessible and accommodating the whole place was. There’s also a bit of spooky charm for anyone who enjoys a good ghost story—the kind of quiet mystery that lingers in a building with this much history. With scenic views perfect for wildlife photography and peaceful walks, it’s an ideal escape from the chaos of everyday life. Redworth Hall isn’t just a hotel—it’s an experience. And one I’ll absolutely carry with me.

We arrived for my 40th birthday and we had booked through 'buyagift' which turned out to be a total con as they had charged us more on top then not even processed our booking it was a NIGHTMARE. However, we arrived on a saturday with a wedding party there and no booking - not the hotels fault at all but this rather useless buyagift thing, I was terrified they'd have no room considering how busy they were! We had no booking and activities booked for the whole weekend so I got a little teary worrying my 40th birthday weekend was ruined. However, the hotel staff were amazing and got us a room and helped us through the situation which was rather upsetting as I was exhausted had just come from a work trip and hadn't had a day off for 3 months so I was super exhausted and stressed we'd been ripped off! The staff were amazing, Carol on reception was fantastic and really sorted us out. The hotel was beautiful and the grounds were stunning. Restaurant was amazing and breakfast was superb! Will come again. Thank you so much. People saying the interiors are dated are wrong - I'd hate to see this stunning building turned into some modern grey hell hole with no love. If they are to update them it should be in keeping with the building and not modernised as it takes away the charm. Currently the rooms are simple but classy. I like it, perhaps some fun wallpaper but the place is a beaut :)

Set in lovely countryside. We were greeted well. We stayed in an excellent room (please see below). The staff were very kind, understanding and proficient, especially Abbie at reception and Charlotte in the Restaurant. The dinner was good and the Breakfast OK. We were able to park outside the main building.
We arrived and were initialled assigned a room right at the back of the hotel, with a difficult route to reach and was effectively underground, the view from the window was a brick wall. We returned to reception where Abbie immediately understood our unhappiness with the assigned room and moved us to a room in the older part of the hotel which was excellent. This was easily accessible, was large and well appointed. There was a good view from the window. Thank you. We were guests when there were two large coach parties were also staying. This was not a problem at all but the hotel perhaps might inform other guests when this is likely.

Returning to Redworth Hall Hotel for a second two-week stay was a quiet pleasure. The property, built in 1693, carries its history with charm—its architecture is full of character, a beautiful reminder of another era. Though my health limited how much of the grounds I could explore this time, I still managed to get out to the main entrance and the lawn area, and even that brief glimpse reminded me why this place is so special. The setting is tranquil, the gardens well-kept, and the atmosphere lends itself to peaceful rest. There’s something grounding about staying somewhere with so much history—it almost feels like the building itself is taking care of you.
Having to leave, bbs hopefully 🤞

I stay in a lot of hotels both for business and leisure. This hotel was stunning, I took myself and my two daughters away for a girls treat night and it was the nicest experience ever. Staff were attentive and kind and left us a little surprise in the room too! Spa was quiet and clean with comfortable seating around the pool. Reaturant and bar area was extremely busy on the evening but we stayed in our room so this didn't affect us. However, we were asked about booking a dinner reservation at check in so I don't think it would of been a problem if we'd have chosen to dine in the restaurant. I never duplicate my stays in hotels as I like to explore, but I can't wait to come back again! Thank you for having us and making our stay so pleasant.
Electric charging spaces were occupied with non electric cars and some out of order meaning I had to pop our a few times during the evening to charge and move the car due to idle fee on the fast charger. Other than this minor inconvenience, everything was perfect and at least I could charge to avoid delays the next morning! Again, thank you!

It was wonderful. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and enjoyed the spa facilities and the room/bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean. I would have liked a dressing gown in the room. The staff were exceptional, all provided a first class service and were friendly. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed a very tasty meal. Thank you.
The property is lovely, but some of the decor in the corridors needs updating. The cooked breakfast wasn’t very nice. My eggs had dried out, the black pudding was tasteless and the sausages fell apart.. sorry.

Very warm welcome when arriving, the hotel is a lovely place and the staff were amazing. The bed was really comfy, I did the gym and it had a lot of a variety for a good workout. Spa bath is a must Spa staff were very helpful
The tap in the bathroom kept running even though it was fully turned off, there was Mold around the windows, people banging on the door thinking it’s funny When there was a do not disturb sign on the door. Room smelt musky. Bathroom falling apart a little I would of liked to change rooms but apparently none available

Set in beautiful grounds with lots of facilities. The hotel was quiet at night and the breakfast was great. The family room was spacious with a double bed and two singles with a partition wall giving us some privacy and meaning our daughter couldn't see us so got to sleep a lot faster! Children times for swimming was also a bonus, knowing adults enjoying the pool didn't have to wait too long for us to leave :)
Facilities could have been a little cleaner. Longer term cleaning like jet washing the floor around the pool and also the fan in our bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while, if at all.

Check-in was very brief, but I could see that the receptionist was overwhelmed. Cleaning staff..lovely lady I kept seeing.I have never witnessed someone with such pace in terms of her work ethics, everyday I saw her cleaning the rooms but always had time to speak to say hello and ask about our stay.I would really appreciate it if she got some recognition .We stayed in room 411 and she was cleaning a room opposite us on our last day.I wish I had got her name, however she would see it as doing her job but i believe she genuinly was very much a lovely lady who enjoyed her work.

The room was fabulous. Air-conditioning is essential to us. Apparently they don't have that in the original hotel but we stayed in the new part with a spa bath too. I didn't have time to use it unfortunately as we were attending our son's wedding and it was a very busy weekend! We ate in the restaurant the restaurant the 1st evening and the food was delicious and my husband his cousins confirmed theirs was too! We also didn't have time to use pool either. The grounds are beautiful and the weather the day we arrived was the hottest so far (12/04/25). Everyone sat in the sunshine until it was time for dinner! The wedding next day went beautifully and a magnificent time was had by all! Breakfast on both mornings was delicious too!
I couldn't find any fault!
