Beautiful historic building with modern renovation. There are still lots of historic features in the building, it has been done sympathetically. It's well located for walking along the river or driving to Cliveden for a day exploring. The breakfast is a simple continental affair but well done, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are generous in size, with the off quirk of layout due to the age of the building. It does get cold overnight but we were provided with an extra heater for the room, which we didn't end up using as the beds were so cosy.
The room lacked a full length mirror and a dressing table which hindered getting ready slightly, and the wardrobe was half height so I couldn't hang up a dress. But these were minor inconveniences.

The owner and staff are incredibly wonderful individuals and their work as a team is great to see. The location by the Thames, away from streets, and about a mile from the train station is close to ideal. Many very good restaurants are within a half a mile. The healthy breakfast provided is most appreciated. Breakfast on the terrace is lovely. Staying at the River Arts Club is like sharing a quiet manor house with nice strangers that we barely see. Train options to Paddington or Tottenham Court Road take less that 60 minutes.
With new ownership comes a few little glitches that has no impact in the quality of our stay. In some cases it was a great opportunity to interact with the staff in a productive manner. We were even upgraded after an absolutely unpreventable event that was not, in any way, the responsibility of the staff or ownership. No TVs in the rooms is not a big deal yet, as we stayed for 6 nights, watching the news on occasion or a good movie would have been nice. We could use our tablets of course. It is just not the same.

We loved the location and uniqueness of River Arts Club. The water front position is a wonderful place to sit and reflect in the morning, watching the geese and swans on the river. The hotel has a peaceful and calm atmosphere with white decor, gentle music, plants and comfortable seating. The accommodation is comfortable and clean. The shower is powerful although no door or curtain for privacy. We loved the honesty box for snacks and refreshments.

Unique property. Didn’t really feel like a hotel, felt very boutique and private. Interiors are stunning. Wonderful location. Great range of things for breakfast. Adapted for my dietary requirements. We loved having breakfast outside on the terrace overlooking the water. The hotel manager Chu was very friendly and welcoming. Next level service!!
Only the shower worked on the roll top bath. We couldn’t get the tap to work with the lever.

The staff that work at The River Arts Club were the most friendly and welcoming. The hotel was beautiful and would absolutely stay there again.
The one very minor thing was our room became very cold in the evening but I’m sure that’s just to do with the recent change in weather. I wasn’t sure if we were to put our heating on. I didn’t ask as it was too late in the evening. Not a huge issue though! The room was very comfortable and I got a great night sleep after warming up!

The setting was stunning and the decor was warm, stylish and welcoming. You just wanted to sit and read in one of the nooks. Breaksfast was just what I like - yoghurt, fresh fruit, tasty bread and spread and all enjoyed with a view of the river.
The shower was directly in the room which was peculiar. It wasn't clear where the entrance was and there was nobody 'reception' which was also a little unconventional.

Bright, spacious room Great view over the river The freshest breakfast pastries I've had in a long while. Nice. relaxed atmosphere. The kind of place you'd be comfortable as a single traveller, a family or a couple.
Filter coffee at breakfast could have been stronger The toilet flush in the room was powerful and you needed the lid down otherwise it sent water splashes over the top onto the seat/floor.

We spent one night here on the way back from North Devon before returning our car rental at Heathrow. We had stayed here in 2018 and our fond memories were repeated. This is a unique property with grand rooms and lawns sweeping down to the River Thames flowing past and full of action and interest. Breakfast was a joy served on the terrace in summer sunshine. Iain was an attentive and caring host again.

Lovely place for a gateway, professional staff and clean facilities. Spacious room and bathroom, comfortable bed. Good breakfast choices, gluten free bread and granola!
Our room didn't have kettle and tea or coffee machine. It's complimentary downstairs but it would be nice to have it in the room. Bit overpriced.

The breakfast was so much more extensive than the breakfast order form suggested ! All beautiful and fresh. One of the most comfortable beds I've ever had. Great view of the river from my room and a real air of tranquility.
Repurposing old buildings often leads to odd features. The shower was stand alone and tiny, especially with the shelf in it for toiletries.
