Fantastic stay for myself and husband, and our two good friends! Our rooms were lovely, spacious, very clean, perfect clean bedding and very comfortable bed! Our evening meal was excellent as was the truly superb breakfast! Located in a lovely quaint village with the most beautiful walks and surrounding area! John was particularly delightful and made us all feel very welcome, he took time to chat with us and recommend local walks and places of interest, thank you John, also thank you to the young bar man who kindly gave me extra water for our room. Would definitely stay again and recommend highly! We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

On arrival we were welcomed with a smile and quickly registered in and shown our room. Room. Spotlessly clean. Incredibly comfortable bed. Ample towels. 《Some of the biggest and soft i have ever had in a hotel)Toiletries of the highest quality. Modern coffee pod machine/ kettle/ quality and unusual coffee / tea / even the sugar. Food from breakfast / lunch / supper and Sunday roast of exceptional quality with service to match from every member of the team. Our first visit (we stayed an extra night it was that good) We have a new favourite in prestbury. Highest praise to the whole team and John who clearly runs with passion and professionalism a truly memorable venue.

The television reception is notoriously bad in the area and the hotel has the same issue of which we were made aware of. Not a problem as they have smart TVs so just paired it with our phone over the excellent Internet coverage.

Had a wonderful two-night stay at the Legh Arms while attending a wedding right across the road. Our group of four booked the Dunham Massey and Tatton rooms, both of which were spacious, filled with character, and featured very comfortable large beds with all the necessary amenities. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant on our first night, highly recommend reserving a table in advance. The food was excellent, and everyone had a fantastic evening. Breakfast each morning offered a plentiful selection with options for all tastes. It was a real bonus to be served at the table instead of a buffet style service. The team at the Legh Arms were fantastic throughout our stay, and a special thank you to Alfie and Hattie for their attentive and welcoming service.

We really liked that the hotel was small with only 12 rooms, each with a name rather than a number. The staff was terrific. I liked that a bottle of beer and two bottles of water (why not two bottles of beer?) were left in the room each day, and it was very good beer.

My main concern was that the comforter on the bed was too warm. I opened the window to try to cool the room but I was still too hot. The water from the shower cycled hot and cold no matter what I turned the water pressure to. We found that the food was a bit on the greasy side but that's British food for you :-). Since there were two of us, it would have been nice to have two chairs but we made do with one (we took turns).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Legh Arms, the room, the Tatton, was exceptional, the decor was superb, it was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, great shower, lovely little personal touches of a bottle of Old Tom beer & an Elemis pillow spray left for us. There was a coffee machine as well as kettle, a small fridge for the milk & a safe. The staff went above and beyond, all were very friendly & helpful. The food was delicious & freshly made, a good choice on the menu. It was in a lovely location on the main street but there was no noise in the room. Parking is at the rear of the hotel, no problem to get a space. All in all we couldn't fault a single thing. Well done and we thank the team at the Legh Arms for making our stay so very enjoyable.

The included breakfast was delicious - could not be faulted: beautifully cooked and generous portion size. The morning staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was spotless and very comfortable with extra touches like bottled water, tissues, slippers and even a beer included! The pillows were incredibly comfortable and, once the local bell ringers had finished their practice I slept like a baby. The food served in the evening was similarly beautifully cooked and very generous: the wine was very reasonably priced by the glass. I would not hesitate to return when I am next in the area.

Has to be said I am being picky here! The entrance to the car park was not well signposted and I initially missed the turn which came very quickly after the roundabout. The person who checked me in did not tell me when breakfast was served the next day, nor ask me whether I wanted a meal that evening: I had to ask after I had settled in. Some of the amenities were found in the wardrobe (slippers, hairdryer, safe and a fan), but it would have been a nice touch to have this pointed out. The water pipes/tank (?) made really quite loud noises some time after flushing the loo or using the tap (unsure which it was as the two uses go together), which was a bit off putting the first time it happened and made me reluctant to use them in the night.

Friendly, great location, genuine olde world charm and character with all modern facilities, spotless room especially the bathroom. Wonderful food and service, excellent value. The Legh arms is very popular with locals and visitors alike whom receive a genuinely warm welcome.

There was a hitch with booking car parking which was solved with little kerfuffle. A small hick up ordering single malt and brandy night caps, lack of bar product Knowledge and brandy served in a whisky tumbler. I’m really being picky here as no big deal!

Wonderful stay in this little village pub! The location is perfect to explore the village of Prestbury and a great base for some walks. When we arrived we were made to feel really welcome and were given an upgrade on our room due to a cancellation. The deluxe room was lovely, clean and spacious. We booked a table in the restaurant a little last minute for dinner and they happily accommodated us that evening as they were already quite busy. The staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast the next morning was excellent. We'd love to return in future.

The Legh Arms is located in a lovely part of Macclesfield and was easy to find. The staff were lovely and answered all our questions. We had dinner one night at the pub and the food was delicious and the staff very friendly. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed linen and towels were very fresh. It was a nice place to stay for two nights as it was close to family we were catching up with, and it is also in a very pretty, scenic area to drive around and explore.

We weren’t thrilled that our room was on the highest level up a very narrow staircase. We are travelling for a month so our suitcases are large and heavy. We also found that we relied on the provided portable fan to cool the room enough to be able to sleep. We were lucky to get a carpark when we returned on Friday night as the carpark was almost full and there are not designated spots for residents.

Lovely place - large room, large bedroom, good breakfast choices. Very welcoming staff. The building is a pub and hotel so you have to share the car park with pub patrons, but we had no problems getting a space. Don't forget to log your car registration though!

The shower is over a fairly high sided bath so it's not particularly accessible (and I forgot to put the non-slip bath kat in the bath!) The hotel is in an old building so there is no lift to the rooms - we only had small bags so it wasn't a problem but there are a number of small steps to get to the 1st floor
