The room was a great size, clean and the bathroom was clean.

We went for dinner in the ‘fine dining’ restaurant thinking that it’d be easier to eat in-house rather than go out to find somewhere after a long day of driving, (the other restaurant was busy because a wedding party had taken over the bar area & was too noisy for our liking) but proved to be a mistake. The fine dining restaurant was empty bar 2 tables, yet the staff had to go check availability, then made us wait on the sofas even though the tables were free… anyway, long story short the staff needlessly dragged out the whole process, when all we wanted was some food after a long day and we were staying at the hotel, rather than be walk-ins. The food was great but overpriced, for a hotel ‘near the motorway’.

Purpose of stay: Parent having surgery in Victoria Hospital. Length of stay: 2 nights. Originally for one night on 3 March but had to book for an additional evening on the 4th. Breakfast: Delicious and so much choice. Welcome on arrival: Monika is a credit to Dean Park Hotel and I hope you will make her aware of that. She was a joy to be greeted by on arrival and have a conversation with. She appreciated the difficult circumstances I found myself in and went above and beyond to ensure that check-in and stay was stress free. There was a member of your housekeeping staff (Unfortunately, I didn't get her name) but she was so friendly, bubbly and a ray of sunshine so that added a positive factor into my stay.

N/A for all the time I spent in the hotel a mere 12 hours each night there wasn't anything I could find wrong with it. Perhaps Room 16 was on the roasty toasty side but that's not a dislike especially when I realised there was a fan in the room! Not very observant on my part. Room 15 was perfect.

From arrival at the hotel to leaving was perfect. The hotel is extremely very welcoming, well managed, and spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and professional. The room was superb with all mod cons, and the shower was excellent. I did eat in the restaurant, where the food and drink were faultless. The price for food and beers is very reasonable and not over the top for a hotel. The outside seating drinking area is superb, I loved it. I have booked again and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

When checking into the hotel the staff had a lack of knowledge, took at least 25 mins to book 1 of us in, there was 4 families in my party. Lack of communication at check in, staff attitude at check in not professional. Just by luck the manager was passing and had to take over. Taking more money from my bank account not telling me, despite me saying I had already paid. This is fraud. By luck I have online banking. No receipts given when paying cash or by card, not impressed at all because that is my proof we all paid.

We needed an overnight stay and this hotel was the perfect location. The room was spacious, quiet and clean. We enjoyed the fine dining food in The Grande restaurant. The set menu was good value and the dishes were exceptional.

The first room we were given had a problem with the safe and water temperature. However the staff were very helpful and quickly tried to remedy the situation. In the end we were transferred to a different room, which was fully functioning.

The hotel is immaculately presented and spotless clean. It gives a high end feel but for a value price. The staff were exceptional - professional yet welcoming and friendly and happy to go the extra mile to help you enjoy your stay. I would like to give a special mention to Michaela who saved the day when we were getting ready for the Eras Tour concert on Saturday morning. It was very warm in our room and so we ordered some water, when Michaela delivered these we got talking to her and mentioned I was having some difficulty with curling my hair. Michaela went above and beyond and came and helped me with curling my hair for a few minutes which was so kind and helpful. She then brought us a fan to the room to help cool the room down which again was really appreciated.

We understood that the venue was some distance from Edinburgh so cannot fault them for this. We chose to stay here for the Eras Tour and travelled by public transport which was definitely doable, i would recommend getting a taxi from the hotel to Kirkcaldy station (which cost us around £8-12 depending on the firm) and then getting the train into Edinburgh and vice versa rather than using the bus, particularly if you have large luggage as while the local bus had a luggage storage it was a bit of an uphill walk from Chapel Roundabout to the hotel with luggage. (Not a critique just a recommendation for travellers). Also be aware it is unlikely you will be able to order an Uber in Kirkcaldy but will have no issue getting one from Edinburgh to Kirkcaldy.

Spotlessly clean and well presented hotel. Good choice of bars and sitting areas. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant which was of good value. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Room allocated was unfortunately above the kitchen and the noise from the ventilation system was very intrusive. Reception knew of the issue and found us an alternative room which was appreciated. The hotel was very quiet and couldn’t understand why the room was allocated in the first place. This negative issue was available.

Food was good, but could have been warmer. Location was perfect for a wedding. Very tranquil settings and grounds were immaculate. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the young lady who checked us in at reception. Room was beautiful and very spacious . The "little touches " I.e cotton wool balls and q. Tips, great for my 'Makeup emergency '. The hotel thought of everything.

Cooked breakfast could have been warmer. It was cold by the time we reached the table, but I'm sure someone would have popped it in the microwave had we asked.

I didn’t have breakfast but had lunch which was nice & reasonably priced, the hotel was lovely the way it was decorated, spotless, the room was great , plenty of space , the bathroom was very big & beautiful, the bed & pillows were nice & soft & very comfortable, everything spotless, stayed for one night after a wedding at Balbirnie House , I have booked for another night at the end of month & hoping to come back to one or two of there events which sounds great , the staff were all very nice , the guy at reception who let us in early hours of the morning was very friendly , sorry can’t remember his name as I had a few drinks , lol , Kim on reception desk next morning was extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble for her & very easy to speak to , the girls in the bar were also nice , couldn’t fault the hotel, enjoyed my stay & look forward to going back at the end of the month . Plenty of parking outside the hotel & it’s free so it’s an added bonus .

Heard a lot of noise outside my room early in the morning but managed to drop off again , found out later that there was construction going on & they are extending another part to the hotel which I’m sure will be great when finished, so only to be expected that you would hear noise , didn’t put me off though.

Clean, modern, comfy bed, good shower, great for staying over at a function in the hotel. Staff were plentiful and professional both at the function and our stay over. Lovely, friendly receptionist at check in, cleaning staff making sure we got to our room and the breakfast staff were courteous, friendly and helpful.

Buffet breakfast wasn’t great. Link sausages were off, potato scones were flabby instead of crisp and scrambled eggs were rubbery. We did inform the waitress and asked that she reported it to the chef.
