Excellent facilities at the price. Comfortable spacious bar and restaurant with reasonable dinner menu. Excellent breakfast. Pleasant staff and especially helpful reception staff. Best if you have a car but the bus service into Dunfermline seems to be good, even in the evenings. A good centre for touring Fife and The Ochills and Trossachs by car.
Old fashioned people like me might think some staff need to be careful not to push in front of or past guests., though other guests might not notice or take it amiss. At breakfast I don't mid getting my own tea and coffee, but if, as here, I am served it I expect to get refills without difficulty.

We loved the fact it was a 5 minute bus journey into Dunderline and set back off the main road. Wife went for a swim, sauna and steam room which was really and could access till 2pm after we checked out. We ate in the restaurant at night where the food was excellent, we both had rump steak and cooked perfectly.
Bar service wasn't the best as the barman ran about trying to fix problems while on the phone to the manager. We booked the deluxe double, which should have come with robes and slippers but didn't have any as they were on order. We went down to have a chat with the lady who was really helpful and said the housekeeper was going to explain but he never arrived. Went down and mentioned that the housekeeper didn't arrive. Just little things that would have given a higher mark. But overall, we really enjoyed our stay and we would stay again

The location, staff and facilities that we used were all fantastic. We stayed for a ‘babymoon’ and staff even provided something for one of my cravings at about 11 at night! The food was delicious - we had breakfast there every morning and dinner for two nights out of five. Staff were attentive to dietary requirements/preferences e.g non dairy milk and vegetarian options. The room was comfortable and spacious. The pool was also lovely.
More variety of mains on the dinner menu or a rotation of the menu would’ve led to us eating there for dinner more often.

The hotel was bright , clean and welcoming . The rooms were big and spacious and the beds were super comfy and huge . Have to say this was the most comfortable bed we have had in a hotel ever . The tea/ coffee making facilities in the room were well stocked up. The rooms were so clean and the cleaning staff were so helpful and efficient . The pool and jacuzzi area was fantastic . The changing rooms were clean and spacious and the staff were helpful and friendly . The reception staff and bar staff were always chatting away to us and our kids and actually took an interest in our youngest and asked her about her fav football team etc and she loved it as she has special needs . Over all a fantastic hotel , facilities and friendly attentive staff. We will deffo be back and the location is just beautiful .

Peaceful location with pleasant, nicely kept gardens. Like the fact that the hotel has not ripped out all the fittings and replaced them with modern, characterless cupboards, draws etc. Nice to see wood rather than paint.
The breakfast offer was wide and varied - it would have been nice to have a better choice for Gluten Free - hash brown eqivalents and sausages could have been GF as standard. Our family members who had dinner felt that the food left a lot to be desired - the chicken and fish were over cooked and the whole gave the impression of being created off-site and reheated onsite.

Good choice of different foods for breakfast including cereals and yogurt. A little more fresh fruit at breakfast eg pears and apples would have been really nice. Not everyone wants a full English! Very comfortable all round and a relaxing hotel with helpful staff. Easy to book delicious meal that evening on arrival.
After a very long journey we found our room as instructed , but didn't know about the key card to put on the lights . We spent some time trying different switches in the dark before going back to the main desk. A minor point but we were pretty tired! At least we'll know next time we stay.

My first visit here. Pleasantly surprised by the hotel and the facilities. Staff were excellent and kept me informed as I had arrived early. I was directed to the leisure facilities and bar, which kept me entertained whilst awaiting my room. Room was spacious and clean with very comfortable beds. Audrey, in reception was very helpful in all aspects including booking a taxi for our trip into Dunfermline town centre. Breakfast was perfect and the dining area was lovely. I was highly impressed with this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.
Nit picking but room was a little hot for my comfort

Nice building in a lovely location. It was a bonus having the leisure facilities, which were free of charge. We used the swimming pool and jacuzzi a couple of times. I also booked a yoga class which cost me £5. The staff were lovely, very friendly. Especially the blonde haired lady at breakfast who had a lot of local knowledge. The Aberdonian lady on reception was also lovely and very helpful.
The room was very dimly lit, which we asked about but were told it was mood lighting. They did bring a led side lamp which helped a bit. Also the windows were locked shut which made me feel uncomfortable. When I asked they came and unlocked them and left the key in so the lock didn’t stick again. The evening meal on our first night was very poor value for money we felt. And when I asked for a glass of wine it only came in large size, 250ml at £9.80 a glass which I felt was a bit steep.

The communal areas were well decorated, light and well furnished. The room was large, and the bed both large and extremely comfortable to sleep in. The breakfast was varied and tasty.
The in-room hot beverage choices were basic, insufficient and disappointing. The coffee at breakfast was so weak it tasted like barely flavoured water. I asked where the bus stop for the Glasgow stagecoach bus was, and the receptionist, who was lovely, said she didn't know because she didn't get the bus anywhere. I can't be the only guest who would choose to get the bus from Crossford to Glasgow, or indeed to Dunfermline or St Andrews, and reception should know the details of these services. The floor in the shower room was soft and squashy under foot around the toilet and shower area. I'd be concerned about how secure the flooring under the vinyl flooring is.

Hotel facilities were fantastic, really enjoyed the spa facilities and the cost of the hotel, especially for a spa. The rooms, although dated were clean, and had no complaints. Obviously with a slightly dated hotel you can hear a lot more noise through the corridor which was a bit of a shame.
Although not related to the actual stay, the restaurant food was up there with some of the worst food I've had. A 4 star hotel should not be serving fish and chips with french fries, with absolutely no flavour. We also ordered the Katsu burger and the Katsu sauce was more like a water - truly awful.
