Lovely pub with great food and breakfast. Staff very kind helpful and friendly. Room and surroundings clean and able to park at the property.
It was a very hot day that we stayed so I assumed there would be a fan in our room. I asked for one and sadly the property had none. I was willing to go and buy one from the local supermarket for myself as I knew I wouldn’t sleep, however it is against policy as not pack tested. With the heat of the room and the loud nose from the road I had no sleep sadly. I would have closed the window but far too hot. One other issue for us was the toilet didn’t flush so we had to use water remove waste. I wouldn’t stay again in summer but winter I would as window can be closed and it won’t be 80 degrees in the room

It was very convenient as I wanted to be in the London area to visit friends. Distance to Haywards Heath station was perfect and the train connections to London were very frequent and easy. The choice of breakfast was very generous and tasty. After check out I could leave my suitcase, at the Wheatsheaf and take a walk in the area. I returned for lunch which was delicious and then left for my journey to Gatwick and my flight home . The staff were all very kind and helpful.
The lock on the door was a bit awkward but ok after a few tries !!

All the staff were excellent. Hard working, helpful, attentive. Nothing was too much trouble from the moment we arrived till the moment we departed! Thanks very much. Xx
Unfortunately the state of our room and the building was disappointing. Very small room(very basic furniture) and bath/shower room. Poor pressure from shower, hardly any space to put toiletry bags. Creaky floor boards in the room and out.Ill fitting window, didn't allow us to block out traffic noise!! I placed clothes into a bedside draw only to remove them covered in dust!! The whole room & bathroom need upgrading! Would be better off getting rid of bath and putting in a new shower, loo & wash hand basin.

Lovely little pub in a pretty village. We had booked here as were attending a family wedding a few miles outside of Brighton and wanted somewhere with an easy commute without being right in Brighton. This location was perfect for us as it was a short walk to the train station to get the train directly into Brighton whilst also being a 15min drive for us to the wedding location. The hot breakfast in the mornings was delicious and there was a selection of cold items too (cereal, yoghurt, fruit). Staff were friendly and helpful. Room/bed was comfortable.
Unfortunately for us we are not used to living on a busy road (didn't realise a wee village road could be so busy throughout the night) and neither are we used to the high temperatures (high 20s, low 30s). The room we had was extremely warm and even with leaving the window open full all day it didn't help cool it down. Leaving the window open all night meant you were continously woken with the noise of the traffic as our window opened onto the main road but closing it meant you couldn't sleep as too warm. We also found the bathroom very compact and found it may have been better for just a shower unit rather than trying to fit a bath in. The shower was fitted along the side of the bath too which made it awkward for showering as you were limited to space.

The room was a good size with tea and coffee, TV and hair dryer available. The beds were comfy and the shower was very good with plenty of hot water. Parking was available for free on site, as this is a pub the car park can get busy but we always managed to find somewhere to park. The breakfast was plentiful with a good choice of cooked food from the menu or cereals and yoghurts from the self service table along with fruit juices. The free WiFi in the pub was really good and very fast.
Our room was at the far end of the corridor away from the pub and the WiFi didn't quite reach that far, given that the mobile phone network is quite poor we were in a communications black hole. I had to relocate to the lobby or sit in the pub to use the WiFi. It could do with a WiFi range extender installing so the all the rooms have a good signal. We also struggled to charge our electronic devices in the room as there were only two plug sockets and they were also used for the TV and kettle. Installing a socket with USB charging ports built in would overcome this.

Everything was lovely, clean and comfy with included breakfast in the price. The free Wifi was strong and worked without issue which often is a rarity in hotels. The staff members were also lovely especially the lovely lady I met at breakfast. I was checking out and unable to stay for breakfast as I had to get to work. However, she offered to have the chef make be a bacon sandwich and gave me a hot drink to take away so I did not miss out. It was very much appreciated. If i am ever in the area again I will definitely be staying here in the future.

The location was not the best because there was no taxi available when we got out of the station. We ended up walking when we arrived. We had to go through a park which was not particularly nice because it was dark. However, the bedroom was a little small but ok. The breakfast was nice and the hotel was helpful in organising a taxi for us so we could get to where we were travelling too.
Getting a taxi to the hotel and not having to walk. We couldn't lock the door in the morning to go down to breakfast so we just had to leave it.

Location. Bus stop outside for access plenty parking . Friendly staff. Separate entrance for room users. Comfy bed. En suite. Lovely brekkie in morning
Room stuffy, no extra fan. Not really a lot can do about hearing the room next door. There are no plugs by side off bed. Tv only halved worked. Toilet area cramped. Amd didn't always flush. . The shower is funny to use. Due to location half up bath. Shower curtain yuc kept getting stuck to it.

Well located and easy to find Pub is very well attended which is a good sign. Plenty of parking. Rooms very clean. Noise from bar is totally cut off in rooms. Value for money. Staff very friendly. Fabulous breakfast.
The lock on the door was temperamental but staff were aware. Although you cannot hear the bar from the rooms, you can hear neighbouring rooms quite clearly which is a shame. Otherwise a real little gem and very handy for Ardingley showground.

Friendly and helpful staff. Easy to park. Good dinner and breakfast. Great location for South of England showground. We stayed in a bijou, but comfy twin room. Staff provided decaffeinated tea bags and a jug of milk for us to have in our room.
Breakfast wasn’t until 8.30am on a Sunday and is clearly popular with the locals too. I normally wouldn’t mind a later breakfast, but we waited longer than I would have hoped for to be given our breakfast, which meant we were late for our workshop at the Carry on Crafting festival.
