The staff were friendly and the bed was comfy so it was ok. Just a shame that the room had not been looked after, by your company.

The carpet was dirty and the tap was not actually attached to the sink. Which made it difficult to wash from that sink or use the tap. But I reported it to the staff member and he told me that he would tell maintenance. Obviously that would only be fixed after we left so it didn't really help. The room basically needed a really good paint and a better inspection before you put somebody else in there.. and some tender loving hair. The people next door also kept on trying to get into our room via the connecting door. But we assumed it was children so we did not make a complaint.

Reception staff were pleasant, efficient and professional in booking us in. I double checked the requirement to register our car for free parking on our booking in form. Reception also provided extra milk for our tea and coffee in the room and made us aware of breakfast and evening meal times. The room layout was good, especially having the basin situated in the bedroom rather than in the shower/toilet. Comfortable bed, high standard of cleanliness throughout, decor and fittings in good condition. A very good variety of cereal, bread, fruit, 'Full English' and juice available for self-service breakfast with helpful staff on hand if needed.

The only suggestion I could make for improvement is the lighting control for the room. The keycard is used to activate the lighting in the room: not a problem in itself, but when you pull the card out to leave the room, the lights go out straight away. It would be better if there was a half minute delay after taking the card out (like when shutting a car door) to keep the lights on.

Our room was clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet. The staff were very friendly. Quick check-in and check-out. There is a 24/7 McDonald’s next door.

When booking in advance the price is very competitive. The staff are very helpful and kind and were able to help me with any issues I faced. The rooms were clean. Whilst I'd give the facilities a 6-7 out of 10 rating, due to lights beside the beds in the twin room I booked not working and no bottled water being provided as standard, they did have ironing facility, the beds were ok but clean and the rooms were of good size. That being said, the staff were very accommodating and were kind enough to provide a different room free of charge. The breakfast was also lovely, plus, due to the location, plenty of places to eat from! Would definitely go again.

The facilities within the rooms didn't exactly give me confidence in use or quality e.g. the lights or even the door locking in the bathroom properly, but for the price, can't really complain. Also, really wish there was a plug point beside the beds to charge phones close by. Final point, even with all the lights on, still felt a little dark for me but really nitpicks.

The hotel is relatively well located if you're looking for somewhere cheap to stay whilst visiting Cambridge. Whilst it's not in a picturesque location (unless you really like service stations and lorry car parks), it does have pretty good road links to the city (about 8 miles away). There are nearby food options in the neighbouring services as well as restaurant facilities in the hotel, so you're unlikely to starve whilst staying. Some of the decor is looking a little tired but it is clean, comfortable, relatively quiet and the staff are friendly.

Some of the decor is looking a bit tired.

No frills, just perfect for short stay and the price was great , breakfast is easy with enough choice and will recommend to anyone looking for an easy well priced stay over with restaurants and shops all on site , the view from our room was over the fields into the countryside so anyone fancying a stroll on a fine evening will be more than impressed with the location . Located just off the M11 motorway 1 hour from London is perfect for travellers heading north and south of Britain and for those who wish to visit the ancient and academic city of Cambridge with a unique nightlife and cultural dining , I have rated this hotel 5/5 purely on its convenience and I will continue to revisit in the future

The fire alarm kept going off mid morning in all the rooms but the staff did everything they could to solve the problem, bearing in mind they can't be isolated for safety reasons,

Honestly, for the price it was really good. We just needed a cheap stop over for one night with a dog . It was clean , basic , but more than adequate for the price. That price bit is important, you get what you pay for, but this was better than what we paid for in my opinion.

For the price we paid there was nothing to moan about. If absolutely pushed I’d say sound proofing within the hotel wasn’t great. But then we booked it expecting it to be a noisy hotel at a services. So what else would I expect!

Would use again, not a bad hotel at all, not luxury, but nice enough. Staff were friendly. Bathroom was clean.

When we arrived (pretty late at night tbh) there was no one on reception, just a sign saying they were with another customer and would be back in 5 minutes. It was rather a lot longer, but at least there were plenty of seats around. Also polite when they arrived. The main light in our room didn't work, we were only staying one night so we reported it in the morning. It was an accessible room, I'd be interested to know how a wheelchair user got on with the bathroom, the flush and the soap were both very high. (Wheelchair level sink with soap at standing height on the wall). The carpet wasn't particularly clean, nor was furniture in public areas.

The location, price, bed was quite comfortable BUT it was a bit cheap in terms of fixtures and fittings. I was pleased with the price but on reflection would have been happy to pay more for higher quality.

The cheap carpet fixtures and fittings including carpets, the bathroom fittings were very basic

Like that the hotel is next to the services so can stock up on sweets and treats, reception staff are always very friendly and helpful and that you can pay to have breakfast which is usually very nice, rooms are clean.

Hotel could do with a lick of paint or updating the walls in the dining area are all marked, the vertical blinds were broken overall needs a little upgrade plus the beds (single) were very uncomfortable so may be look at replacing some beds.
