We stayed for 3 nights at 9 Doors Hotel in Istanbul and had an excellent experience! The hotel is very clean and located very close to the historical center – just a short walk from Sultanahmet Square, where all the major tourist attractions are. It’s also close to public transport, which makes getting around really easy. Breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of fresh options. The staff was amazing – very kind and always willing to help with any information or requests. A really nice gesture was that, for my wife’s birthday, they offered us a free upgrade to a deluxe room – an unexpected and much appreciated gift. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. I’ll definitely come back! Thank you to the entire team at 9 Doors Hotel for your hospitality and kindness! We had a great stay here! The hotel was very close to the main attractions and public transport but was set back in a side street so it was very quiet. The host was very welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble - recommending restaurants, booking hotel transfers, helping out with travel cards, etc. Breakfast was typical Turkish, but there were slight changes every day, e.g, different sweet treats and eggs. Overall, it was great value for money, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Istanbul is a vibrant, magical city, and we were in the perfect location to explore everything the city had to offer us. Thank you for making us feel welcome!

There was nothing to dislike.

Very cozy clean hotel in historical style. I lived in the Hurem Sultan room, I recommend this room to everyone. Very warm and from the window you can see the sea from afar. Cats and seagulls look in the windows - beggars))) it was fun. I would like to express my special thanks to the staff of the hotel. always smiling, ready to help in everything. The room was cleaned every day. Always clean, fresh towels and linens. There are even bathrobes in the bathroom. Great variety of breakfasts every day. I got a long layover in Istanbul and decided to spend the night. I found this hotel and checked in 2h later. The staff was welcoming, the room was small but fair for the price, very clean, and well decorated. The property also sits in a great location, within 10 minutes walking from the Blue Mosque and with lots of nearby restaurants.

I never had issues with safety and walked everywhere, but as a female solo traveler I mis say that the street leading to the hotel may feel a bit unsafe (unpaved and facing the train rails). Again, I had no issues, but I was a bit nervous walking there on my own.

9 Doors Hotel exceeded expectations. The staff were fantastic—fluent in English, German, and Turkish, and always helpful. The breakfast was surprisingly better than many local cafés—fresh, varied, and delicious. Rooms are stylish with high-quality finishes, from the shower fittings to the doors. The mattress and bed linens were incredibly comfortable. The location is also perfect—just minutes from the pier for Bosphorus tours, the Marmaray station, and Sultanahmet. Highly recommended.

The room was clean, interesting design ( purposely took this hotel cause of “culture” vibe on the photos), I didn’t feel that famous Turkish hospitality to be honest. Breakfast was fine, but the whole atmosphere was very intense for some reason.

The amenities in the toilet were for 1 person only, which is weird because I booked twin room. I stayed couple of days there, around 3-4 nights, I didn’t noticed that towels/bedsheets were changed at all. On the last day I found only 1 water bottle provided. WiFi kept disconnecting and asking for logging in again and again. Also keep in mind, the hotel is RIGHT next to the railway station. I’ve read the reviews before booking but didn’t know that it was disturbing to be honest.

Very friendly staff, the breakfast was varied and generally good. The location is walking distance to all the main attractions. Hulia in particular was very helpful and a lovely person - a great ambassador for the hotel.

At first when we arrived, we thought that we had made a mistake as the street was not the best, however, soon after we found that the location was really good. We were concerned that there is no lift, but the staff were happy to carry our cases up to the top floor so that was OK for us.

Everything, from the staff who shared with us the main sightseeing around Goreme, to the comfortable bedroom and the beautiful terrace where we had a plentiful and diversified breakfast. Great location, right in the middle of Cappadocia.

Absolutely nothing!

Location of hotel was great for walking to the key attractions. The rooms were comfortable and well furnished. It felt very clean. The free safe, wifi, and water were bonuses. The staff were superb, very kind and helpful. Price was reasonable. The breakfast was reasonable with some different choices for hot food as well as selection of bread, cheeses, olives and pastries.

The location was interesting, we weren't expecting the hotel to be next to a railway line. Trains were infrequent so didn't cause too much of an issue. The twin room was much smaller than anticipated from the photographs. Likewise the shower room was very small. We were two female friends who are used to sharing rooms but the closeness was a bit too close at times!
