The team did their very best to do as good as possible in those difficult circumstances, as we were snowed in, the village was without power, but this hotel has a generator for most of the services. The roads (train & car) were blocked so there was no way out for 4 days... they organised a drink every night to make the prison feeling a very nice one, & tried fe to reopen the pool asap. They booked rescue helicopters to get us out of there, as the hotel had his closing aswell, on their own account with all guests really appreciated.

we couldn't experience the real Riffelalp feeling, so we can't really judge on our stay compared to a normal one. it is a classic Alp hotel with a lot of indoor & outdoor options. the view of the Matterhorn is, when good weather, amazing.

Short stay, only two nights, I wish I could stay longer

Riffelalp is one of the world‘s great hotels. While skiing Zermatt in its own right is exceptional, the hotel adds a visual and emotional dimension. The spa, sauna, hammam, ice, cave, etc. is world class delivering the perfect conclusion to the end of a hard day’s skiing. The restaurants are fabulous, particularly the Walliserkeller, but most of all the hotel is distinguished by its traditional Swiss service. The staff take great pride in their work and nothing is too much trouble. Recommended unreservedly!

Nothing at all

Your staff was impeccable and more than helpful and friendly at every encounter. The pool area outdoors was nice and we had amazing views. Our room was clean and everyone was accommodating and kind. I especially appreciated the turndown Service. ( you just feel extra special and taken care of). The bidet and special touches were nice. When we were picked up by Miguel and taken down by Stefan they really took care of us and made sure we knew where to go and what to expect. The breakfast had lots to offer, great service and quality food. The location was great in proximity to our room.

We had what we needed and things were great. The only thing that was a miss was we wanted to go to the sauna but the hours were limited to start at 2. Also the large bright yellow rubber duck sort of blocked out photos of the Matterhorn and felt a little cheesy, maybe it has meaning but we didn’t know what it was.

Very nice to place and next to the sloop. The view of the Matterhorn Mountain is super cool from the balcony and resort main entrance. Restaurants are excellent. But no nightlife after skiing and u will need to go down to the village by train if u want to life the night experience in Zermatt. So i will recommend to split ur stay in 2 resorts, one on the top of the mountain like this one and second another resort in the village down.

Mr Chantra Malorni was very helpfull to us, the ski room was closed at the noon time we arrived and he opened the ski room and helped us and found exactly right tools we need in few mins even it was not his job, thank you Mr. Malorni, you made our day. The location was perfect, very quiet in the middle of slopes

Did not like the behaviour of Ms. Patricia Marburger, she was smiling but you can feel the arrigancy behind it amd she was not helpfull at all

The Location is perfect and our room has 2 terraces , which we can enjoy the view of Matterhorn day and night and if you want to enjoy the Matterhorn , you have to stay here for at least two nights because Matterhorn always was covered by cloud . Breakfast is very good and all the staffs there are very friendly and very helpful .

only dinner should start earlier like !8:30 instead of 19:00 and that's all I can think of .

Magnificent views. Friendly and willing-to-please staff. The quiet location and the walk from the hotel to the station along the beautifully maintained snowy track. Interesting and eclectic works of art and decoration. Beautiful light fitting. Ski room well equipped. The cleanliness.

More and correct information shared about the hotel and the resort within the hotel. Not being told one has to book the restaurants before arrival. The breakfast was a bit uninspiring. Bread wasn't generally up to the normal delicious Swiss standard. The spa needs more personnel visibly involved and explanation of what is available...no idea what the salt cellar was about. The outdoor pool could be open in the morning.

Everything was brilliant, the property is located in a very pristine location up top, the porter service was excellent once your arrive at the zermatt train station, everything is taken care off. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the check in process, the rooms with the balcony had an amazing Matterhorn view, even the outdoor heated pool is magical & a must try during your stay. The hotel staff were polite and kind.

One of the best properties I have been to around the world, an embodiment of wonderful!

For such a property with such a standard, I believe there is a HUGE gap to improve the standard of the breakfast, since I would categorise this property alongside the likes of Ciragan Palace Kempinski in Istanbul, and ahead of the Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski St Moritz, and the Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrât (Four Seasons), and Mont Cervin Palace, you can try to at least match the breakfast offering of the Mont Cervin at least, honestly i was disappointed by the poor selection and offering.
