Frankly, I did not know what to expect. The reviews were good but it seemed a bit out of the way when I looked it up. But, upon arrival I found to be a really unique hotel. Built from an old military facility that shares land with the local university, they have transformed this into a wonderful upscale facility. Right on the water, within walking distance of numerous restaurants. Our room had a nice view out to the water overlooking the small boat harbor. Breakfast was complete and amazing with the ability to sit outside and enjoy the water/harbor view. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Did not realize that the room was split level, but that did help to provide a great view.

This was a quick overnight stay for us and it met our expectations, perhaps even exceeded them a little. The setting is nice, and the rooms a bit quirky. We enjoyed our evening meal there also, and that we could easily charge our car nearby overnight.

It seemed understaffed with the evening staff trying to do too many things. For example one of the drinks we'd paid for, and they promised to bring over, never arrived and it seems they forgot it amongst other things like checking in guests or serving dinner.

It was my first time in Gothenburg and I wasn’t really sure what I was looking for. The hotel decided for me: ended up a lot more there than I was expecting. It’s really nice, the staff is impeccable and everything went smoothly. The facilities are great and you really should enjoy the stay. The thing is (keep reading about the “what I didn’t like”:

.. you really have to decide before you go: if it’s a central spot you’re looking for, this isn’t the place to be (40 minutes, considering tram + walk, from Gothenburg centre); if you’re looking for silence, rest and even a place that is about halfway from Gothenburg and Sotholmen, this is a very good hotel. This is not a “I don’t like”: it’s a mere warning for your expectations.

There was a delicious buffet breakfast included, the place we stayed included our private bathroom and living room, it was very clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice, there was an amazing view of the sunset from the dockyard right outside the hotel, we would recommend bringing a camera for that!

The hotel was difficult to access by public transport, but a lovely walk

The room was more like a little apartment. Very spacious and great for a stop over. Car parking was easy and breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

As it was Sunday the Restaurant and evening buffet weren't available, which we hadn't realised when we booked. There were few options for eating an evening meal in the local area at all unfortunately. We got take away pizza in the end from Kungs which was very good indeed.

The evening and breakfast buffets were very delicious. The room was also a really good size with a decent bathroom. Very clean and the staff were super nice!

The location is quite bad - takes a 20 min tram and a 20 min walk to get there with a very confusing route. We had the evening buffet as well which was good but expensive for what you get, especially as it's such a trek to get elsewhere for food. I also wish they had more vegetarian options for the evening buffet.

The hotel was friendly, clean with a good bar and food and an excellent breakfast which was included in the room rate. was a bit concerned as the hotel reviews are mixed but 1. some of the rooms were not in the main building but were only a short walk away; 2. bedrooms were comfortable and clean; 3. a free boat service was provided from midday to 19:00 to Gothenburg Centre which was great and took about 30 mins and there was a lot to see 4. it was about an hours walk from the centre to the hotel along some picturesque parts along the waterfront and there was a great bar with great good value food just by the bridge and the headless statues in the water; 5. there was another bar open air just down the road which served food 6. we were lucky enough to be there on a day with good weather and the sunset was spectacular. would stay again

if you want a really centrally located hotel probably not one for you. 400 SEK (£40) taxi from the train station

Nice hotel with friendly staff and spacious rooms (we hade a family room). The breakfast was a small buffe but still contained what You can expect from a Continental breakfast. Since the hotel is located slightly outside the city center they hade arranged for a free ferry transfer between the hotel and the city. Otherwise You can just take a 10 minute walk through the historic area and You can go anywhere You like by tram.

The only things I can find to complain about is minor things like You cant turn off the readinglights by the bed separately, so no worries.

Suitable location for us because we went to the ferry in the morning, free parking, large and bright apartment, good beds, lovely breakfast (even a bit earlier than official time) Nice bar outside. Göteborg is always worth of visit!

The parking check-in understood only Swedish registration numbers but with the help of he staff issue was solved.

Near the sea, with beautiful view. Beds are comfortable.

Too far away from the tram station(20minutes walk at least). Although they have free ferry to city Center, it was only from 12:15 to 19:45, at hourly intervals. Have to consider whether the view worth such a long way. Of course it won’t be a problem if you drive a car.
