Dylan and Company, as we would like to call them were an integral part of our beautiful stay at Mirissa. We booked a Deluxe Room which could be easily mistaken for a suite. The property does give you the option to pay in USD/INR/LKR. We booked breakfast with our room where Sri Lankan and Western options were provided. We chose the latter that consisted of ample slices of Toasted white bread, two Masala Omelets, a piece of Sausage and a slice of Bacon with fresh fruits, giant pots of Coffee and Tea, and two beautifully cooked Pancakes on our last day. Snorkeling and Beach Beds were provided for free with extra beach towels if needed and short yet delightful conversations alongside whenever our paths met. The beach is located literally 10m from the property and is mostly secluded although we visited it in July so the crowd could be subjective. At night when you run out of options or places, make a hot pot of beverage and sit on the comfortable chairs in your private balcony with the sea gaping right at you.

This place really is paradise!! We stayed in the deluxe rooms which are practically on the beach, the sound of the waves is so soothing. Having free use of the loungers and snorkelling gear was all we needed for a very relaxing time. We swam with turtles within minutes of getting into the water. There are also loads of bright tropical fish on a small coral reef just a short swim off the beach. The sunsets and breakfasts were divine but above all the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. I’m already planning my next visit.

I just wish we had stayed longer. It was perfect.

We loved everything about this property. As a family of 2 adults 2 kids, like everyone else we wanted to see turtles. Our flight arrived in Colombo at 5am and Turtle Bay Beach Resort organised an airport pickup for us straight to them. When we arrived at 8am to the resort we met all the staff who were so friendly and helpful. As our Deluxe triple room would not be ready until 11.30 they gave us another room to change into so we could get straight onto the beach for the day and from then our holiday began. My sons birthday was the next day and they had balloons hanging from the beams and the most amazing and delicious football cake with candles all ready to surprise my football crazy son. It really all felt like home from home. Room was massive, overlooking beach. Waves crashing to help you sleep and the staff and seeing turtles definitely made this visit one of the best experiences we have ever had as a family. The chef was amazing cooking anything we asked for and my daughter got to catch all the hermit crabs which is all she ever wants to do, we fed the squirrels, and even tried fishing. An unbelievable experience throughout. Huge shout out to Dylan and the chef and the rest of staff for a fantastic stay. We will definitely come back to visit you all again.

That we couldn’t stay longer.

Absolutely loved this resort, we were supposed to only stay for one night but cancelled our other plans so we could extend and stay longer. We upgraded our room which we highly recommend doing, the Deluxe Triple was huge, bed and pillows so comfortable, great AC and strong WIFI. Also really big bathroom with rain shower and hot water. The staff were so helpful and friendly we enjoyed our time chatting and laughing with them every day. The breakfast was the best we had in any hotel of our trip, the chef was amazing so we ate dinner there most days also. Location was perfect, right on a small beach were you can watch the fisherman every day, very quiet and peaceful but just a short 5 minute walk to the main beach with bars and restaurants. We would highly recommend booking here, you will not regret it, we are already planning to return on our next trip to beautiful Sri Lanka!

Short version: Beautiful rooms (deluxe 3 bed), super clean, incredible friendly and attentive staff and boss. Highly recommend! Long version: we upgraded our basic room (which was still okay but not much space) to the deluxe room which was really one of our best stays in whole Sri Lanka. For that price you get all you need. They helped us to rent scooter, organizing airport pick ups and were just super friendly and helpful. We saw turtles and you can also get free snorkeling gear from them. Nice shingales breakfast and a very good restaurant (sure a bit more expensive than others - but worth it!) So many small details what made this stay just perfect for us and therefore get my first and so far only 10 rating. (Have to mention we were here offseason and no mich other guests here)

Everything was great, a perfect place to relax! Beautiful location directly at a quiet beach where you can see turtles if you're lucky :) and just a few minutes away from the more lively beacharea. Super friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. My mother has had an accident and got slightly injured a few days before and they helped us with everything we needed (ice for her injury, bringing the food up to her room). Beautiful wooden room and balcony with seaview. Tasty breakfast and dinner too!

Absolutely amazing stay! Just next to the private beach with view on famous coconut hill and few minutes from parrot rock. Turtle bay it is not just A name daily snorkling with sea turtles and there were even turtle nesting on the beach! Sea view specious room with great balcony with waves sound which helped you sleep. Morning and evening fishermans by the bay which made the view even more special. Fantastic staff, were friendly, helpful and warm, we felt after few days like we are part of the family and it was hard to say goodbye. Amazing Food starting from breakfast to great fresh positions in the menu- we tried many things from lobsters, shrimps, fresh fish, burgers all were 5 stars! Thank you to the owner and all the staff if was an amazing stay in Mirissa. Defenetly to recommend and hope we will be Back there soon!

Location is best. Resort has a private beach with access to the Bay area. Guests can spend time on beach beds chilling or do snorkelling and looks for turtles in the bay. Deluxe rooms are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is also very filling and great variety is served.

I was misled on booking.com by seeing the title 'Beach Facing' for our standard double room. The standard rooms are a little far from the beach towards the interior. Deluxe rooms are great!

Only a few steps to get to beach and stunning ocean view from our room. The room was big and clean. Hot shower worked very well. We had Sri Lanka style breakfast and it was very tasty. Snorkeling gear was free. We enjoyed swimming and found a sea turtle. The staffs were very friendly. Would love to stay there again!

Mosquito. But there was mosquito net. There was a frigid in the room but didn’t work.
