This hotel boasts perhaps the best location in Albir. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and we were fortunate to have one with a terrace offering stunning ocean and mountain views. The buffet, while not gourmet, provides excellent value, with diverse options that change daily. As someone who isn't overly picky, I was more than satisfied. However, it's worth noting that my stay was during the last week of July, and experiences may vary depending on the time of year.

The air conditioning could be improved, as I occasionally felt warm in my room and other areas of the hotel. Additionally, updating the furniture would enhance the overall experience.

Kaktus Hotel is in a great location, on the beach front and near a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops. The facilities are good, although this time round, we did not use them. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

The choice of food for breakfast and evening meal was very good, but the "hot" food was a big let down as it was never hot, not even warm - always cold.

It was all good except I found the mattress too soft … perhaps needs updating! All baths should have non slip mats! Lovely in bar area ….. suggestion that pastries could be served there with afternoon tea!

Our room for three nights was above the sea front with a beautiful view around the bay to Altea and the mountains. It was comfortable, spacious and clean. The hotel decor, with colourful balcony windshields and cloud-effect glass at the rear of the building is unusual and attractive, including a decorative staircase.

The breakfast buffet was extensive, but some items were a humdrum in terms of quality or flavour. Parking in the secure underground car park was an extra 12 euros - not a strong criticism, but worth knowing.

The room was really spacious and immaculate. When we asked for a late check out, we were given it for free as the room wasn't going to be used that day.

Tea and coffee sachets were in the room, but there wasn't a kettle.

Room excellent, my wife was happy as it had a plug next to a mirror and chair s she could do makeup and dry hair

When we arrived our room was upgraded to a sea view, we also received a voucher for a free drink each at the bar. The room was massive with a corner sofa unit and coffee table so there was somewhere to sit and relax. There was a kettle and fridge in the room. The TV had stations in various languages which again was a plus. There were 2 complimentary bottles of water. The bath had a bath mat, which being of a certain age we appreciated. The wardrobes were tall enough to hang dresses in. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It was windy during our stay but you could find sunny spots round the pool and on the roof terrace out of the wind.

The evening entertainment was so so, but it was out of season and midweek. Probably for the same reason the evening meal was adequate

A well located hotel right on the seafront and close to bars and restaurants. The side sea view balcony had lovely mountain and sea views. The roof terrace and covered pool was a good sun trap and the outdoor pool area was well kept and chilled. There was a very good selection at the breakfast buffet and it was well organised.

The room decor was outdated and not to my taste. Having said that, it was clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. The room was a good size and had everything we needed. Would benefit from more neutral decoration but that would be a massive refurbishment and probably push the room rate up so I can live with it for one night!
