- Great location! Everywhere is walkable (nearby Palau de la Musica Catalana), there’s a nice coffee place around the corner as well a big carrefour - super friendly and helpful staff - clean and bright rooms - rooftop is a nice addition :) - the whole place is very cute and nice to look at and simply be in!

- no mini fridge in the rooms (not a must but it’s nice to be able to keep some things cool/cold) - there’s no separate bathroom but rather the shower is separated from the bedroom with a glass door and the toilet - with thin wooden door. Not a deal breaker but if travelling with a friend some people might not feel comfortable with this arrangement

The reception staff were so lovely and helpful. Particularly Amelia (?). Such a welcoming and kind person. She spent time showing me local attractions and giving me her local knowledge. The hotel is in a really good location. Walking easily to the cathedral and Gothic area. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops close by ( recommend Syra coffee at the top of the calle. Great coffee and incredible granola bar). It wasn't THE BEST hotel I've stayed in, but it certainly wasn't the worst! It is, reasonably priced. The bed was comfortable. The room was very clean. Location is good. Staff are great. Worth a booking.

I was woken up both nights by noisy guests. This wasn't too loud and didn't go on too long, but it did disturb me. There is no minibar. I was helped by staff who kindly stored medication for me in their fridge. I was a bit chilly at night. Only 1 sheet on bed, which makes sense for summer months, but it is getting colder in the night end Sept. I'm very sure if I'd asked for additional sheets they would have been supplied, so probably a mute note, but if you feel the cold, just ask in advance for extra bedding perhaps.

the property is just stunning, shame the weather wasn't great and also I was out of season to make full use of the rooftop area and the pool. the room was pretty big in fact, really well disposed, really smart utilisation of spaces, great spacious enormous shower with a stream of water which was basically a massage! loved it!

a little too much tech maybe? i found my door opened one afternoon, saw other room doors open on my floor and I blame the fact that the door opens via a web page, i had to sometimes click 2-3 times on the webpage for the door to open so it's very possible i reopened my own door by going into the web page by mistake and tapping it again? who knows :)

Great location - a few minutes walk from many sights and restaurants and the metro at Urquinaona nearby, comfortable room, clean and good facilities, very much enjoyed having a balcony to relax on and soak up the feel of being in a lively city, staff were helpful

I found the experience of using an app to access the hotel and my room quite tiresome. The access code I was given worked for my room but not the main door of the hotel - same situation with the replacement code I was given. The wall between my room and next door was quite thin, so I heard rather more from my neighbours than I cared to.

Perfect room for a solo traveller - good size for one, well decorated, and the balcony was a real plus. It was so well located and immaculately clean. The shower was powerful and really hot! The roof terrace was gorgeous once the sun had come out and would be amazing in the summer. I was only here one night but this would be a perfect place for a long weekend in Barcelona.

Access to the apartment is completely dependent on having access to the booking link on your pjone - really handy to be key free but would have been a nightmare if phone had died/been stolen. I would have liked it if you could deadlock the room from the inside esp as a solo female traveller.

This was our second visit to Àmfores. Our Junior Suite had a small foyer which contained a bench, TV and desk, and our own coffee machine. The hotel is attractively renovated and the bed was very comfortable (firm). We appreciated the friendly and knowledgeable staff, who helped us navigate the city by public transportation and walking, and offered suggestions for restaurants and where to find services we needed. The hotel is in El Born, conveniently located with shops, restaurants and a Carrefour supermarket nearby.

Perfect location right in the middle of Barcelona, clean, friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance to so many attractions, restaurants and cafes to explore. Nice the roof terrace.

The elevator was broken for half of stay time, so people was need go to room by stairs, and the door closing was really loud. There was no fridge in the room. No option for wash and dry clothes.

Great location, the best! Small rooms but everything you need, really well designed. If you don't want your partner to see you in the shower then fine I understand the other reviews. No problem for me, he's my partner! As for the reviews about seeing your partner on the toilet, this is nonsense. There IS a door. Yes, it's not a 5 star hotel but highly functional and in a great location. Check in process is not for the faint hearted or those nervous of tech (like me and my husband) but staff are SO helpful. Even created a little door code we could use rather than these silly digital keys only on one phone. Thanks guys! It was quiet, calm and in the centre of beautiful Barcelona. Yes, I would prefer to be able to make coffee in my room or at least get one at reception before 9am but you get what you pay for. Our in laws paid 4 times the amount to stay in a 4 star practically next door.. for what?! A coffee machine and rooftop pool. Well, Barcelona is a city to be out and about. This hotel does what it says on the tin and does it well. Beds were super comfortable too. Staff were top top! Thank you

The location is excellent, right in the heart of the city and near public transportation. And, although it's location is really on a central location, it's a quite space in a quite (and narrow) street. Additionally, the staff are really friendly and helpful.

The rooms are tiny. I mean, really tiny!! And the bathroom, toilet and sink location, doesn't make much sense! Not much privacy too. So, if you are not alone in the hotel room, you better be really comfortable with said partner about using the toilet! :)

Perfect room and beautiful hotel. Modern, boutique feels, crisp, clean and the staff were so helpful in providing tips with a few questions I had about the area. The staff had upgraded my room as they said if they have any of the better rooms free they always aim to make these available and upgrade where they can. Perect location with walking distance to many local attractions. I travelled solo and felt very safe. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was perfect. However the bath towels are extremely small. Bigger ones needed for future guests.
