Out of all the hostels I’ve stayed in around the world, Kruger Park Hostel is by far the number one when it comes to being a true authentic hostel — one that genuinely cares about making you feel at home. It’s more than just a place to sleep; it feels like a real community. From day one, I felt like I was surrounded by long-time friends. Connections happen naturally, the spaces encourage interaction, and there’s a welcoming energy in every detail. For fellow Brazilians thinking of visiting: don’t doubt for a second — this is your best value-for-money option. The daily rate includes half-board (great breakfast and dinner), you don’t have to worry about dishes, and whether you stay in a shared room or a private one like I did, everything is comfortable and cozy. Also they have nice tours either good prices that allows you to meet all Kruger area on an affordable way. The staff is also 10/10 — from Mayra (a Brazilian who shares tons of helpful tips in Portuguese) to Rene, Trudy, Lebo, Robert, Marion and so many others who make this place so special. I truly felt welcomed.

The rooms were spacious, clean and fresh. The rain shower is to die for and the bath simply irresistible. Truly one of those arrive as guests and leave as friends places. It is owner managed and run the we absolutely amazing, super friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is a help yourself eat and go thing but even though we had only just arrived we were invited to eat our dinner with them and the other guests family style which was amazing. We will definitely be back!

We only stayed one night so I had to choose between shower or bath... 😩😁 boy that rain shower is fabulous!

Located in the middle of the forest. Friendly staff who really want to build a community among the guests. Spotless clean. Very nicely decorated. Well organised. We really appreciated the opportunity to rent bikes.

Location is hard to find, road go get there not the easiest. Our room (not dorm but a room for 2 people only) was very nice and in the middle of the park though one wall of the bedroom was made of see-through glass without curtains - which was great to feel the nature around us but made me feel quite uncomfortable as, despite nothing has happened, I didn't feel full privacy.

I've stayed in lots of hostels before but this stands out as being one of my favourites for sure. Staff are so welcoming and friendly, they make a real effort to make sure you have what you need during your stay and make you feel like part of their family! The dinner was delicious and everywhere was super clean. The shower in the dorm was lovely too :) The location is incredible. You are in and amongst so much wildlife, animals coming to the pool was an absolute highlight. Martin was a wonderful guy, so much energy and enthusiasm on the game drive! I highly recommend doing the game drive and the night drive, it is so worth it. Thank you for a great stay, I really hope to be back one day!

A little slice of bush heaven tucked near the Kruger Park. The staff and volunteers were extremely kind and attentive and quickly make you feel part of the hostel community. Within a few hours of arriving we had visitors by the pool (zebras!). The hostel was extremely clean and well decorated. The pool was clean and great for when you need to cool down. There were different spaces to mingle with others or have some quiet time/do work if you wish. The tours were awesome - despite it being a scorcher of a day we saw a plethora of wildlife! The hostel doesn’t host too many guests, which creates an intimate feel and makes it easier to get to know everyone. By the end of the trip, you will feel like part of the hostel family. I hope to visit again and will recommend to friends! 🌻

The place is perfectly located, Marloth is very safe and close to Crocodile bridge gate. The room, shower, food, game drives were all very personalized for us. Common areas were so cool, even some animals came visit. Mayra and Rene are great hosts. They run the hostel and at the same time hang out with us. If you are lucky they even do the tours with you. I would definitely recommend!

It was a perfect oasis in the bush amongst the animals with a homely feel. Everyone was super welcoming and friendly. The park game drives were fantastic and the guide Robert was super informative, giving us lots of time to view animals and take photos. The staff even helped organise a massage at the hostel with a local masseuse! We would definitely stay here again!

The friendlyness of the hosts. Very friendly family managed Hostel. You istantly feel welcomed as a New member of the family. Kruger Tours are organised from the Hostel. So you are abel to enjoy the Kruger Parl as much as possible with your friends from the Kruger Park Hostel. Everyone was very friendly and warm harte. No negativ aspects at all.

This place was amazing - a great option for budget travelers wanting to experience Kruger. The staff went out of their way to make sure all of the guests had a great experience. They were very communicative about which shuttles to take/where to go for lunch/setting up extra tours if wanted. Renee set up a night game drive for a few of us, and dropped us off/picked us up from there. He also organized a trip down to the river to watch the sunset. The game drives were incredible, dinners were good, and the continental breakfast was great and set up early enough to enjoy before an early morning in the park.

One shower for a dorm of six was a little tough when we were all waking up early for the same game drive - but the bathroom was kept clean and there were other toilets available for use, so overall not a huge issue!

It was a great stay. Marion and Oliver, who were running the hostel while their son was on holidays, were great hosts. The pool is really nice. It is a really peaceful place which just relaxes you. I only stayed 1 night, if I had known before I would have booked at least 2 nights to be able to go on the early morning tour to Kruger.

Really minor thing which cannot be changed, I first felt a bit uncomfortable as the place is quite remote in a rural area. But this is what gives you the feeling of peacefulness 😉
