We wanted a room within walking distance of the train station and town so that was great. All within 10 minutes walk. The room had three beds so that too was perfect for my daughter and me who wanted separate beds. The room was clean and quiet as the road it looked over was not noisy. The room was a reasonable size and there was a small table and two chairs.

I woke up very early as the room got very light in the morning. There were curtains but they did not block the light. It's not a problem for everyone but I would have wished for thicker, black out curtains as I didn't get enough sleep.

Very friendly, very clean, nothing was too much trouble. Everything had been thought of to make our stay comfortable, kettle, hairdryer, iron, ironing board, TV, WiFi access etc. Comfortable bed, clean room. Plenty of storage, wardrobe etc. Bed made and room cleaned daily, tea/coffee and milk sachets provided daily. We would highly recommend Whitecliff View.

Booking in was quick and easy. The location was excellent. The room and facilities are spotless, with plenty of tea and coffee also provided. No breakfast is available, but just 5 mins away is "Barnabys" with friendly service and very good food. I would certainly stay here again and recommend, if the standards remain the same under any new owner as it is up for sale.

3 parking spaces but quite difficult to manoeuvre into if 2 vehicles already there, but o.k.if careful.

Everything was spotless. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. It was a very short walk into town where there were plenty of restaurants and also buses to Newport and up and down the coast.

Although there was parking for up to four vehicles, access was not easy and this was not helped by it being a one-way street.

I've stayed here many times before covid and after and every time it's Been amazing wouldn't stay anywhere else

Nice location with quiet environment. Nidy & clean room.

The owner has big husky in her room. Also a big cat always stay in kitchen with cat house. it's not always the best option for several reasons, such as potential hazards and hygiene concerns for living a cat in kitchen.

What a delightful hotel. Our room was extremely spacious and clean. comfortable, and tastefully decorated. Both my teens were impressed by the room(no easy feat), the game console in the communal room was an absolute bonus! The location was ideal for walking down to the beach with the local train station and bus stops all a short walk away. There were several nearby options for breakfast and other meals. So, we didn't at all mind that a cooked breakfast was not available

Liked everything

The property is in a quiet street a short walk from the beach and shops. The owners were friendly and welcoming and showed me to my 2nd floor single room explaining where everything was and how to log into the Wi-Fi and work the TV remote. The room was big enough with an en-suite toilet and shower. Tea /coffee making facilities replenished each day and the room tided. The bed was cosy. Continental breakfast could be ordered the evening before. Frequent buses 2, 3 & 8 nearby take you to Ryde, Shanklin, Ventnor and Newport. I had a very pleasant stay and would definitely stay here again and Saturday 30th July was The Sandown Carnival which was great.

Nothing I did not like.

Perfect for somewhere to get your head down, exceptionally clean, Julie is lovely and her dogs are adorable but kept separate unless you show an interest in meeting them

Parking was a bit tight but manageable and available

Great location friendly host clean room and bathroom. Kettle and tea/coffee in room. Free parking outside. Good value for money

Couldn’t get the TV to work for some reason maybe instructions would have helped
