The hotel has a perfect location, just steps away from the beach, where guests can enjoy private sunbeds provided by the property. The breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of quality options that make for a great start to the day. The staff is polite and always ready to help, which adds to the overall pleasant experience.

However, there are a couple of downsides worth mentioning. At the moment, there is ongoing construction at the neighboring hotel, and although the reception claims the work starts at 8:30 AM, in reality, it begins as early as 7:00 AM, causing unwanted noise in the morning. Additionally, while the triple room includes two comfortable beds, the third one is simply a fold-out armchair with a terrible mattress - you can feel every spring. The hotel really needs to address this by adding a proper mattress topper to ensure a good night's sleep for all guests.

The hotel was exceptionally comfortable with very friendly staff. Our room was spotless, spacious and very quiet with very comfortable beds and pillows. The breakfast was extremely good with lots of choice including freshly squeezed orange juice and also an actual vegetable juicer available. We had a meal in the main restaurant on one night and the food and service were excellent. The location overlooks the lake with lovely views and it is also within walking distance of the main town centre. There are spaces to relax both inside the hotel and outside in the grounds so overall it is a great place to unwind. We would highly recommend the Villa Rosa Hotel. Also Desenzano is a good place as a base to explore other areas / towns on the lake and in the wider region. For instance there is a beautiful town called Salo which is approximately 30 minutes by bus and well worth visiting. Verona can be reached by a regular train service, again in approximately 30 minutes.

The hotel itself is lovely but what really impressed me was the staff. Everyone in the hotel was there to help. Every evening the reception team asked us what we were doing the next day and made some great recommendations of places to visit. The bar is small but well furnished with a nice outside area overlooking the lake. Drinks were reasonable priced - €10 for a good measure Gin and Tonic. The room was lovely with a nice balcony over looking the lake. The weather was not great when we stayed (Late September) but we sat out most evenings enjoying the view. The bathroom was well equipped. The room had a TV with Sky which meant you could get international stations to listen to news. Tea/coffee facilities in the room. There was a minibar but we did not use the stock. The pool areas was compact but there were more than enough beds for the guests to use. Breakfast was superb with a good selection of continental or traditional breakfast choices available. the whole area was very clean and the staff helpful with any off-menu requests. The hotel itself is a short 5-10 minute walk to the centre. There are lots of excellent restaurants available. We did not have a bad meal all holiday. There was a good selection of shops as well which were not overly priced for quality products. I would recommend having a car to visit some of the other towns around the lake. The roads are excellent and there are some amazing views. Go to Tremosine sul Garda for spectacular views from high up. Be prepared for some heart in mouth driving though as the roads to the top as narrow and very windy with buses and trucks coming the other direction! Salo is also very nice to walk through the shopping alleys and the nice lake front promenade. Finally plan half a day in Sirmione which is a 10 miinute drive or bus from the hotel or 60 minute walk. Absolutely amazing place.

If I had to find a fault I would say parking. There are 10 free parking spots at the hotel but difficult to get depending on the time of day. There is a chargeable carpark under the hotel so always somewhere to park even if you have to pay. Other than that I am struggling to find anything wrong - this really is a lovely place to stay and highly recommended.

The Villa Rosa Hotel met all our expectations. We had a beautiful room overlooking the garden with a view of the lake from the balcony. Clean and very comfortable. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Sofia and Nicolo at Reception went over and above to help with all our enquiries. The hotel restaurant Rose & Sapori is a definite must, the food and service are outstanding, a little expensive but worth it. There is a pool at the back of the hotel, a very quiet relaxing area and a small pebble beach in front of the hotel. Jelly shoes are a good idea to enter the lake. Its a 10 minute stroll to the town centre and ferry port where there are lots of restaurants and shops.

Clean and tidy , good breakfast, helpful staff. Gym was simple because t had everything you need for a workout. Pool is small (too small to swim and with our stay had children in all day) but fine for a cool down dip

View from our room was the entrance to the car park with a cctv overlooking our balcony and room (kept the curtains shut the whole stay ) . The only chance of seeing the lake was hidden by a bush . For over £2350 for seven nights put a damper on the stay. We could have stayed at one a road back for a third of the money with no view. Will be looking for another hotel when we good back in October which is a shame as it’s a great location for everything

Breakfast was excellent, always well stocked and staff attentive. The hotel is wonderful, views over the lake from the front rooms are fantastic. We were very impressed with cleanliness of the rooms. We had drinks and snacks brought to the pool when using it over lunch also.

The road noise especially on a Friday night and weekends is annoying, cars and motorcycles cruise by regularly with noisy exhausts. This is by no means a reflection of the hotel services, just something to be aware of if staying in a lake view room to the front aspect of the property.

Our stay at Villa Rosa Desenzano del Garda was nothing short of perfect. The staff were fantastic—warm, professional, always happy to help. My wife and I experienced brilliant service throughout, from check-in to the excellent evening meal, which was a real treat. We loved the complimentary canapés with our drinks—a lovely touch. The building is beautifully maintained, with a spotless swimming pool and relaxing lounge area. Just across the road from a pebble beach, 10-minute walk along the newly renovated lakeside promenade takes you to the town centre, and it’s only 30 minutes from the train station with great links to Verona and Venice.

The Hotel was super clean and modern, breakfast was fresh and a generally there was a good variety of continental and traditional breakfast and refreshments with a nice touch of a pianist on Sunday. Pool menu was good and service was good. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable maid service every day with clean towels and top up of tea and coffee.

If l had a criticism it would be to have a coffee machine in the rooms it is was disappointing to have Nescafé sachet, also the cups in the room where not great even for a cup of tea

A lovely hotel in a good situation overlooking the lake. Very clean. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Giving guidance on timetables what to see and TV channels and promptly dealing with our request for extra bedding. We had a standard twin room that was good although it was lacking enough storage space for our things. The selection at breakfast was very good my friend particularly like the smoothy maker and the orange juice squeezer. And it was nice to sit on the terrace with a view of the lake. Would recommend.

maybe a better selection of toiletries and some biscuits would have been nice for the price paid. There was a very high end restaurant which was well recommended but we didn't use as it had only one vegetarian option on the whole menu which seems a bit of an oversight.

Location was beautiful , the hotel was really lovely , very good quality and the staff were really helpful with advice and finding taxis for us . Breakfast was wonderful with a great fruit , yogurt and seeds collection , lovely bread and cakes as well as hot breakfast and continental offering . The location is slightly away from the main town so it’s quieter and less hustle but just 5-10 mins walk back to the bustle of town and the ferry port for boats across the lake . It’s such a well turned out hotel for the money we would definitely stay again . Car park onsite plus the pool which is a bonus .
