Even though the single room was with shared toilet, there was a sink in the room, which was convenient for brushing teeth and washing the face. The shared toilets were clean. For people too shy to use the public bath at the hotel next door, there is a shower room at the first floor next to the washing machines.

It was an absolutely wonderful place to stay in Amanohashidate! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. There is a restaurant onsite that I would recommend making dinner reservations for as many of the local restaurants will be closed for the evening (don't make the same mistake I made). The room and place were kept very clean. They provided a yukata and essentials for visiting the public baths available in the next door hotel. A well stocked and healthy breakfast was also available from the next door hotel. If you want everything within one building, this is not the place for you, but I very much enjoyed the fresh air after my bathing and breakfasts!!

The room was on the smaller side, but for a couple of nights, this was fine.

Travelling with an 11 year old who was delighted to spot the ladder and loft bed in our twin bedded room (making 3 sleeping spots). Staff friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean including communal toilets. This is an annexe to a far more expensive hotel next door. 05.00 - 09.00 and 17.00 to 01.00 use of their fabulous onsen. Meals in the less formal restaurant on site 1600y+ Location is super convenient.

Nothing. Accurate listing so met expectations.

This is a budget hotel, and you should take this in to account when planning your trip. However, the value for money of this place was excellent. They allowed us an early check-in free of charge due to the terrible weather outside, and provided everything we needed to make our stay in Amanohashidate a great one. We loved the place! The staff were friendly, and the location so close to the train station really couldn't be better. Access to the onsen next door was a great bonus.

Nothing really.

The location is great, near the station, near the center and the lifter. The access to the onsen is also great. The breakfast is really good.

It’s important to know that the onsen and the breakfast is not in the same building, it’s in the hotel right beside the hotel. But in clear day like I had it was not a problem. I think in winter or rainy days it might be an issue.

A superb hotel. The rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is great being next to the train/bus station and on the doorstep of the amanohashidate isthmus. It was good value for money when you're looking to spend a bit more as there aren't too many hostels in the area. You get to use the really fancy onsen at the hotel next door too which is awesome. Getting to use a traditional yukata too which is a fun way of connecting with the culture.

The location is perfect because it's just a minute walk from the station. And it's literally just a few minutes away from other attractions. It's also quiet and clean. Their sister hotel which sits literally next to it has a huge public bath that guests of Auberge can use for free, that's nice!

The internet works fine aside from the times where it runs slow and gets disconnected.

Facilities are great - spacious rooms and nice clean shared toilets and showers. Check in and out are easy and staff are friendly. It is a 20 minute walk from the center of town and 10 minute walk from a cycle rental shop. Wifi works good in the room.

Nothing

You can use the onsen of the nearby hotel for free. The bed was extremely comfortable. The size of the room was perfect and all the basic stuff was provided.

No sleepware provided. The doors are so noisy you can hear them smashing at night when people go to the bathroom.

The hotel scores on its proximity to the train station and affiliation to the Amanohashidate hotel which means access to the wonderful onsen there. The bus stop to Ine no Funaya is just right outside the station which makes it really convenient.

Room is small, as with most hotels in Japan
