The room was large and very comfortable

The staff were inattentive especially in the restaurant despite it not being busy. Also, relatively early in the evening and with many guests in the restaurant the staff started to clear unused table and reset for breakfast which was noisy and disrespectful to guests.

I liked my room in the Mews

I was disappointed that swimming wasn't included in the price of my room. I wanted a short swim before dinner but sadly I had to leave at 6:30 the next morning so couldn't swim then. I was going to be charged £15 which was ridiculous for half an hour. The shower floor was very slippery with no rails to hold onto.

Easwell Manor is a beautiful picturesque place, everything visually is amazing. Room was lovely and big. Majority of Staff were welcoming and helpful.

Only negative I have was at our evening meal in the hotel restaurant, our food was delicious and came out promptly, but once my wife and I had finished we were left for 28min on our table without it being cleared,offered another drink or our dessert menu, all of which we wanted. I ended up having get up and go and speak to a male member of the restaurant team who seemed upset that I was highlighting this and just pointed to the tables saying they're quite busy. I can understand that they were busy, but on 3 occasions during that 28min we saw 3 staff having a chat amongst themselves for a few minutes. We returned to our room informing reception without anymore drinks or dessert.

The location was great had wonderful views.

Some of the facilities were not avaliable and we wasn't notified before we arrived. Some of the staff didn't seem to be as friendly towards us or as helpful. When we we went for breakfast we were told what we could have and was told to find a table. But everyone else was taken to a table it was as if because we had booked with booking .com we were treated differently to others that had booked directly with Eastwell manor. Just something we noticed.

We found the room the be cozy and near the main house. The bar and buildings were beautiful. The grounds were stunning it was so peaceful and calming. We were able to choose a table at breakfast next to the window which was really lovely. Staff all very helpful and friendly.

We booked through booking.com where it was not clear that we wouldn't be able to to use the pool or spa at our leisure therefore due to other commitments this meant we were unable to use at all so we have had a lovely stay but didn't even see the spa.

Dinner is excellent. Breakfast has a great selection. The views and manor is as great as you'd expect.

Deluxe double room: the dust behind the bed has probably been there for atleast 3 years if not longer. That horribly unacceptable. The pillows need replacing too. The mattress was too soft for my liking. So it isn't for people that favour medium to firm beds.

The cleanliness for the room was really bad, the toilet had all brown scale, the carpet was ripped, the bedroom windows has smashed in places and we’re put back together with sellotape. There were loud drunk people I could hear from my room at 1am.

We absolutely loved our stay at Champneys, really beautifully manicured grounds and gardens, the bedroom was much much bigger than expected and the spa facilities were fantastic. I really loved finding some delicious happy birthday chocolates in my room!! That was such a lovely surprise and little treat! The Spa was really fantastic and the pool was amazing and big. Definitely amazing stay, we will be back!

We were a bit disappointed with breakfast, we had to wait for 45mins for our cooked breakfast and when it arrived it was cold and overcooked. The rest of the buffet was rather small with not much choices. Also dinner was lovely but my main course had to sent back as it had large quantity of garlic despite having told the waitress that I have a severe intolerance. Maybe there was staff shortage in the kitchen on that weekend? Still, at breakfast, as we were sat next to the bar, we could still see the empty wine bottles and full rubbish bin from the dinner the night before. Not a good look for such an upscale hotel.

The grounds are stunning - incredible views. The house is a crazy mishmash of styles. Staff try really hard. Place was clean.

We rang in the way down to ask if we could come early and use the facilities. Standard question. The phone was answered by a guy who had learned customer service from Basil Fawlty. He couldn’t say if we could arrive early, asserted there was a fee for doing this but the corker was couldn’t tell us what the fee was! Listening to the call in the car I was wondering if I’d made a terrible mistake. Breakfast was poor. The buffet was depleted and for instance the bread rolls were not replenished. Eggs Benedict came wet on the muffin. Charged £3 for an espresso or cappuccino at breakfast when it was included in the room rate - I don’t think this is on.

If you go on booking .com get some lovely deals. Staff are always lovely. But do notice they don't seem to keep the good ones ☹️

We waited at the Manor house dining area for breakfast in the morning and didn't realise it had swapped to Champneys restaurant near where our room was. So walked back outside. My breakfast didn't come with what I asked for and had to ask 4 times if they had any sauce. 4 th time they said they didn't ☹️. Went a few days later and had the most terrible sandwiches at lunchtime, they aren't on the menu but the style of the place can't believe they served them up.
