Breakfast was great, love all the options available. Our kids enjoyed the indoor/outdoor pool, and that there were towels available in the pool. Cleaning help was super friendly and checked on us each morning to make sure we had everything we needed. Having the kitchen and bar open late is also a perk. Our kids also enjoyed the free fountian pop machine available during the day.

I feel that there may need to be a few more kitchen staff for breakfast and the complimentary supper. It seemed things were constantly running out, and it wasn't getting refilled in a timely manner because there was on one staff member doing everything.

The Independence/ Blue Springs staff are AMAZING! They were so sweet and helpful. We showed up without reservations. We needed an accessible room, which none were available. We took another room for that night and the next day when we went down for breakfast, the concierge told us that one had come available... asked us if we wanted to switch rooms and we did it. The housekeeper helped me move our stuff. Going above and beyond is just amazing, with this staff!

The location is close to youth baseball and softball fields, there were a lot of kids running around. But the staff did amazing with them calming on down, if you reported the kids playing with the elevators and running a muck in the hallways, staff got it under control with the parents quite quickly.

Bright, welcoming staff! Lobby was always well maintained. Didn’t have time to use the pool but it appeared to be of good quality. Room was in great conditions and room linens were very good quality. Dining room was always clean, ate at the breakfast buffet every day (oatmeal was great!) and it was always kept refreshed. Only suggestion would be a little change up of food offering through the week. We didn’t always eat at dinner so can’t comment too much about it.

I can’t say bad things about this property

The breakfast was wonderful and the after 5:30 pm meals & popcorn was great too.

The bed could have been better. Seems like the mattress must be on some type of board. The only comfortable spots on the bed are right on the edges of the bed cause the middle of the mattress is so hard. We were also on the 6th floor and there was a spot light shining into the window were you couldn't keep the curtains open at night.

I liked that they offered adults “ a few drinks” was always doing family things so unfortunately, wasn’t able to take part.

A couple things: the major thing, was going down the elevator and someone was stuck and couldn’t get out and was yelling for help at the top of their lungs. Unfortunately, his dog was caught up in the unfortunate accident and died in the elevator! I was present for the whole event!! The maintenance man and the “head hauncho” couldn’t open the elevator with crow bar and key for elevator. It was so sad and scary! Elevator was broken for a couple days but we refused to go up or down it for the rest of the time!! Super sketchy! Also there were know fans in the bathroom so in someone used the restroom everyone in the room would smell the uncomfortable smell! Gross!!

Great location for our several night visit to KC for baseball. Truman Sports complex is only a couple exits away and downtown KC is roughly 20 min. Nice clean room and common area. Breakfast and happy hour was very nice, as I’m coming to expect from Drury’s. There was also good access without the highway to shopping, gas, etc.

Parking lot is decent sized but not well managed. There were several large trucks and busses that made it a challenge to find parking when returning late in evening. Only drawback was that our room, 626, was directly in the target of some veryKC Baseball bright lights that are pointed up at the hotel (odd, since it isn’t the side facing the interstate) so we had to draw room darkening blinds each night.

Absolutely blown away by this Drury! The room was exceptional...clean, comfortable, quiet. The provided evening meal was tasty, relaxing & a nice surprise. The breakfast was hot with nice choices. The staff are amazingly friendly, from check-in (thanks JoAnn), meals, bar/grill, to random maintainance staff & housekeeping inquiring about stay/comfort. It was nice to be a short distance from KC hustle bustle. Will stay here again!

The staff here was so nice, we asked for a recommendation one night and the gal was so helpful. The hotel was amazing. Not a single thing was wrong. The room was spotless and so comfortable. Most hotels you can hear everything in and outside the hotel. We couldn't hear a thing it was so peaceful. Would absolutely stay here again.

Nothing was wrong, the only thing that would have been nice is if the breakfast maybe went to at least 10 instead of 9:30. But that was about my only complaint really.

Fantastic breakfast options. Clean. Doesn't have to charge for parking like so many hotels closer to downtown do.

While the kickback supper is a nice concept, the hotel couldn't keep up with demand on a Saturday evening, and the seating area overflowed. There was also a fire alarm that went off at midnight. Highway noise is a problem on upper floors.

Breakfast was very good. A nice bonus was the happy hour buffet, which included three free alcoholic drinks per person, served from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. Room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. We would stay here again. Very modern shower design.

Turkey sausage at breakfast would have been a nice alternative to pork sausage.
