The view is fabulous, the room spacious, the shower a treat and the bed very comfortable. We also liked dinner in the restaurant and a very good and generous breakfast.

I understand that it's difficult to stock a lot, but the selection of wines was a little limited to me as a wine lover. Perhaps there is not much calling for quality wine, as the region's beers and ciders are famous, but with a mouthwatering crab and lobster linguine, I'd like something more exciting than a choice of NZ Cab'Sav, Chilean Chardonnay or Pinot grigio.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at The Pickwick Inn & Oliver’s Restaurant. The location was absolutely fabulous—peaceful, scenic, and just a short drive from Padstow. The accommodation was excellent: clean, comfortable, and very well-appointed. A perfect relaxing getaway. Highly recommended!

A couple of things could have made the stay even better. We would have appreciated having bathrobes in the room, which would have added a more luxurious touch. Also, the welcome on arrival felt a little underwhelming, the gentleman who checked us in (not the owner) wasn’t particularly warm or friendly, which was a shame as first impressions do count.

The bedroom and bathroom were excellent. View from the balcony was amazing. Lots of nice little touches in the bedroom and bathroom such as plenty of tea, coffee and drinking chocolate. Complimentary cookies and bottled water, even a mini fridge. Bathroom had a huge freestanding bath with TV. Shower excellent. Soap and shower gel were paraben free. Furnishings were of a high standard and bed was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and we had happy anniversary wishes in chocolate on our dessert plate, although we selected the cheese platter. 🤣 Food was delicious

Slightly isolated but we enjoyed the tranquility as we only stayed one night. A shame that we couldn’t take our meals in the restaurant as the views were amazing but as we had our dog with us we had to eat in the pub. We were aware of this beforehand so not really an issue. We could have left our dog in our room if we wanted.

One of the best accommodations we’ve stayed in. The rooms are spacious with fantastic views of The Camel Estuary. Loads of storage space, lovely comfortable bed and fantastic modern bathroom. Nice homemade biscuits with complementary tea, coffee etc. The breakfasts are something else with a huge choice. Dining here was exceptional and the food was top notch. The staff were so friendly and helpful

Views and room #7 was fantastic.

Breakfast was very limited and strict to only what the meal offered. You can’t try their warm oatmeal if you already selected another option. My wife ordered the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs. It came out with one egg scrambled. The table next to use ordered the same and the pile of scrambled eggs was doubled if not triple the amount. This is why my wife wanted to try the oatmeal due to a smaller portion meal. She was told this was not allowed. Additionally we asked for a fresh coffee to take to the room. We were told to use the instant coffee in the room.

The location, room, space and furnishings and decor. The view from the patio was fab. Breakfast was good I would have liked the option to have eggs royale as don't like meat but love hollandaise and since they do smoked salmon and scrambled eggs the ingredients were available. But a minor personal moan as what was provided was lovely.

Liked it all - but noted that there isn't a "reception" or hotel staff on site at all times - you can go to the pub and ask for help but might have to wait till staff in later in the day.

Spacious room, loads of storage, great well appointed bathroom with large shower. Great views. Fresh cookies daily. Easy check in & out but no prior instructions keys would be in door. Nice to have own numbered parking space.

Window catch broken in bathroom. Loads of dead wasps inside most of ceiling spotlights in bathroom. A man’s underpants left in bedside cupboard. Staff could have been friendlier in restaurant. Chairs in restaurant need a clean badly. Dirty & full of other people’s crumbs.

Location and views from the room were superb. The bedroom was roomy and very comfortable with all the amenities you need. The bathroom was spotless, and it was good to have a heated towel rail. The balcony was large and made use of the fabulous views. Staff are very friendly and efficient. The restaurant offers a very good choice of fresh food which was excellent.

The balcony could have been a little cleaner. I.e wash/sweep the floor and glass surround.

We loved our romantic escape to the Pickwick Inn. A true hidden gem! Our room was lovely, bright and large with fab views to Padstow over the fields. Our bathroom was also fab with a huge bath and shower. Food at Oliver's was also very good, not spectacular, but good all the same. The pub itself looks very cosy indeed. Things to note: You need a car as this is a remote location. All in all, would highly recommend for that naughty escape!

Bathroom supplies are just eco soap bars and while ok, could be done better with eco refillable pumps. Continental part of breakfast was a bit tired and could be improved.

Greeted on arrival and settled in, bowled over by the view and room. We booked the restaurant for the first night and enjoyed the meal and view from the table across the pool and beyond to Padstow/Rock. Food and service was superb. Retired to the room to enjoy the view and later settled on to the sofa to watch the big screen tv. It was like a home away from home and having access to the bar, restaurant, pool etc meant we could go sight seeing during the day and enjoy being at the Pickwick Inn in to the evening.

Being exceptionally picky : The milk pot at breakfast was chipped and the trendy dessert spoon was difficult to eat with due to it's shape. Toilet was the one which hangs off the wall and creaks and moves which makes it feel like it may fall off. Shower was lovely but not very powerful. Sink smelt (presume issues with the trap). One of the sofa chairs in the room had a wobbly leg. If I was to make the same detailed observations of any other establishment we'd be here all day so this says something about Pickwick Inn to be able to narrow it down so finely.
