Extremely spacious rooms. Excellent central location and yet quiet rooms. Great air conditioning. Very nice furnished throughout. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Breakfast is not bad but can be improved. The staff address all our requests - extra cot bed which was very nice, taxi booked for early morning and they have even changed our room immediately at our request. Well done on customer service!

The lobby bar is permanently closed which was not the case a few years back when we stayed at the hotel. We used to have our breakfast at the lovely cafe area which now is not operational. It feels like the management has changed as I can see a decline at the hotel maintenance and we have stayed numerous times at it over the years. While it is definitely not a 5* hotel, we would happily stay here again.

The hotel was established in 1912 and has changed its name in recent years! It has also gone through a major refurbishment, which has been successfully done! To me, this is a smaller boutique hotel with an old-fashioned English style! I do believe they have kept some of the old furniture from before the refurbishment, which just adds to the charm! The beds are comfortable, and WiFi is working quite well! The breakfast is a bit small bit adequate for the size of the hotel! The service from the hotel staff is excellent!

Didn't eat breakfast. Bed very comfortable. Pillows dreadful - polyester - like sleeping on block of concrete or sack of stones. Luckily I know this is a problem in hotels (both home and abroad) and took my own down pillow. Was told not possible to have a 'dining style upright chair in my room - two low armchairs provided.

Just explained - pillows - polyester - like sleeping on concrete! No upright chair available Would have been better for me if the shower head had been adjustable - only fixing was 6ft above the bath! Handrails in bath would have been very useful

Location was brilliant - only a short walk to most attractions with bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Staff were excellent and went out of their way to make us feel welcome (there was a mix up with room type and even at 1am, our porter sorted it out). Parking and instructions were clear although my top tip for any fellow guests is to check the route on Street View - even pitch black in the middle of the night in the pouring rain, we knew what to look for 🤓. Breakfast was amazing - cooked fresh to order and plentiful. Can’t recommend this place enough and upon my return home found that my son had also stayed there just before Covid (and loved it as well 😁). ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Room decor was a little dated (although the carpets looked new) and not enough rum selection in the bar 😉. Stairs became an issue for my mother (as she is quite elderly) however I didn’t have any problems.

Everything about the hotel from the staff to the environment and the hotel interior was lovely. The room is huge and the bed is very nice and firm. The AC was working and the location is right in the centre of the city. It's really and amazing place to stay in Varna. The only thing that might be of a concern is that there were no sockets to charge your electronic devices. I had to disconnect the kettle and use its socket or the landline's socket.

Not much to complain really, maybe just the fact that we booked a room with a balcony, but they gave us without a balcony. However, after mentioning about it, they gave us a room with balcony. If I need to be nitpicking, that would be it. But it's not a big deal to me and it won't affect my overall impression.

Excellent location of the hotel: the very center of Varna! Cozy courtyard in front of the hotel and a pedestrian street on the other side. Quite close to the sea and the seaside park. There are many great cafes nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff. I arrived earlier than the check-in time: the room was ready - they settled me in without any additional charges.

Location fantastic, front desk very friendly and room huge and clean. We had the junior suite Loved the balcony. The hotel itself had some interesting pictures on walls and a lift. Useful as we were on 4th floor.

Breakfast was very limited, No pastries or decent bread. No staff to ask. No milk for cereals The furniture was in places tired and the tiles in bathroom cracked Would have liked a welcome information pack in bedroom where to go. Did not see prices for minibar so did not use.

Grand is definitely the word. Room felt like the abode of some 19th century ambassador or state governor. Roomy, tasteful, opulent and elegant. Reception staff were very friendly and obliging.

Very minor quibbles around breakfast: cornflakes could have been higher quality, kitchen staff could have been friendlier.
