The hotel's breathtaking location provided spectacular views from the castle. Staying in a balcony room felt like being in a scene from a movie, with the stunning scenery serving as a perfect backdrop. It was truly an unforgettable experience!

Nothing - the property was absolutely spotless and the service was fantastic.

We stayed at Chateau Gütsch for 3 nights. Hotel expression was in a high level. 1st night's dinner we had at hotel 'ball saloon'. Soup with carrot just was perfect, as well as rest meal of dinner. I was very pleased with the exact atmosphere of the chateau', the comfort of the beds, the design harmony between the furniture and the walls.Whole ambiance of hotel was up to satisfaction.Breakfast was in average variety of products, but every time after done I will very full and satisfied.

There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. We asked the receptionist if he could bring the kettle to the room for us, but it was not pleasant that he brought the kettle and put it in front of us. This job should be done by room service personnel. It should be brought to the room, not directly to my hand on reception desk.

The staff was absolutely amazing! From reception to the exceedingy amiable restaurant personnel who seemed to speak every laguage that was spoken to them..my family and I were thoroughly impressed. And to the magnificent women who took the time to remember our 9 year olds breakfast order, which tickeled him to no end... Merci Beaucoup y abrazos ;)

There was a mildly off-putting mildew smell in our rooms bathroom that took away from the ambiance. Please check the wooden cabinets beneath the sink for dampness and/or mold.

Great location, view is just superb. Staff is really friendly and helpful, we were given a lot of recomendations upon check-in. Breakfast is really nice. A pleasant surprise was that Lucern pass was issued to us for the whole stay, meaning we had discount in museums and free public transport within city.

Our room could be described as the one that castle workers lived in previous times, meaning it was rather small and underwhelming, it definetely has a vibe nevertheless, but i am not sure if it was woth the money still. Mattress was too soft for our taste. There was no info list in the room, the info on TV didn’t work, resulting in us not knowing at what time is breakfast, for example.

Stunning location and views of the lake, mountains and town from our room (57). Gorgeous woodland walks on the doorstep. The hotel is beautiful throughout, beautifully decorated. Room had everything you need including free mini bar, Molton Brown products, robes etc. Large terrace. The funicular takes you down and up to the hotel for free. The one evening meal we ate in the bar was good. Breakfast was excellent and the service very good.

The fruit in the room would have been a nice touch, however it was inedible as very hard/unripe. The menu in the restaurant was limited and extortionate priced.

The location of the hotel is really good, overlooking the whole city. The service at the hotel reception was very attentive, but some of the waiters at the restaurant had a poor attitude. Stayed in a family room but was woken up at 6am by a noise similar to a water pump outside the hotel, the room was very close to the train and the noise lasted for a long time. It is very unfortunate that this hotel is really noisy, otherwise the view and service are better.

This place is iconic - you can see it from across the city, and the views from the balcony and the rooms are great, especially at sunset. The decoration is glamorous, the breakfast buffet is comprehensive, and the overall experience is elevated and beautiful.

I booked a lake-view room, but the room was in a tucked-away corner of the building with only a sliver of a view onto the lake. While technically this is a lake view, I could not see the mountains or the bulk of the lake, which is what most people would expect in a "lake view" room. The dedicated funicular up to the hotel has two cars on parallel tracks, but one of the two was out of service in summer 2024 and this meant lines and delays to reach the top or descend. The room was oddly-shaped (though this is probably due to the age of the building), and while the overall experience was good I would not say the chateau fully lives up to its potential, in part because the staff were not as welcoming as other hotels I visited in Switzerland.

I had a fantastic stay at Chateau Gutsch! I will not forget waking up to views of Lake Luzern and snowy mountains. Staff were really friendly, the bed was so comfortable and everything was very clean. Breakfast was delicious and such a treat. I'm a little scared of heights so the lift up to the hotel made me gulp, but within a day I was happily travelling up and down with faith in Swiss engineering! Don't miss the views and beautiful restaurant here.

Maybe better signage to the reception which was a little tricky to find, or maybe I went the long way by accident! Also a kettle in the room would have been amazing.

Our stay was fantastic, it’s a marvelous building, with spacious, clean and comfortable rooms, and the view over Lucerne is incredible. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the service was flawless. The funicular into town is a unique and memorable bonus. The bar was brilliant with creative and delicious cocktails and comfortable surroundings, and the restaurant was very good also, if a little pricy. Breakfast was delicious and worth the upgrade.

We had some issues with our booking on checking in, which were solved immediately; Alex really went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent stay.

The setting , location and facilities are nothing but grand old Europe . The front desk especially were extremely friendly and helpful . Breakfast was opulent . Nothing compares to the view - whatever you do get a city view

A little too much in the upcharging dept. For the view ok , for the parking maybe but $100 + for breakfast - for two ? Stingey. . Should hve a simple option continental breakfast available or dare I say included , as in most Hotels in Europe . Also the electricals hve not been upgraded to accomodate cell phones and the hot water was insufficient in the shower . But the View …….. !
