Awesome beach and swimming. Nice rooms and a great breakfast. They organised me car hire at a good rate. Walking distance to shops and restaurants.

There was a huge party with all the locals at the hotel the night we arrived. It was quite fun but we did kind of feel in the way. Dinner for the guests was on the roof terrace that night and it was not at all good and stone cold. It didn't go on too late thankfully. But the following day at sunset there was a wedding in the hotel. again was fine but seems to be more of a venue on the weekends than a hotel.

Location is perfect and easy reach of major atttractions. The sunset Seaview privilege rooms are amazing! There is a small kitchen attached with a cooker, sink and fridge with basic cooking tools which was very handy! Beach is literally few metres away and very private.

If locals did not use the beach and bar facilities to hold parties at the weekend! Very noisy with loud music. However, I was compensated by having a free dinner on the house as it was on our last night this party had happened.

We loved the location, having breakfast and dinner practically on the beach watching Le Morne is amazing. The garden is also very nice,

When we checked in, our room 27, was not clean at all, the floor, the dust, visible signs of degradation in the bathroom. The staff is not smiling at all, most of them except 2 or 3 max which were nice ( especially Varun is a a very good guy) . Otherwise, you almost feel that the staff is doing you a big favour that you stay there. I asked for a coffee in the morning and they replied, did you not read the papers with opening times? 😂 After a 13 h flight imagine how pleasant this was.

Perfect location right by the sea, with sunbeds and beanbags directly on the beach—an amazing spot to relax and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets. The hotel is just the right size—small enough to feel cozy and personal. There’s a supermarket, rent a car and some restaurants within walking distance, which is also very convenient. The staff is absolutely wonderful, from the owner and manager to the receptionists and waiters—everyone is welcoming and helpful. We had a fantastic stay and truly appreciate the warm hospitality. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Hotel La Mariposa was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the incredibly friendly and attentive staff, who made us feel at home right away. The hotel’s territory is breathtaking—beautifully maintained, lush, and peaceful, creating the perfect tropical escape. The beach was cozy and intimate, with soft sand and a mesmerizing view of the clear, blue ocean. Waking up to such a paradise every day was truly a dream come true. Everything about our stay exceeded expectations, and we are beyond grateful for this unforgettable experience. A huge thank you to the entire team at La Mariposa for making our vacation so special! We can’t wait to return.

Everything was perfect. As a suggestion for the further development - the food could be more sofisticated.

The service at the hotel is definitely more than 3 stars, the staff is very helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to organize us a special breakfast when we missed it. Direct beach access was great and dining while watching the sunset was a highlight. The room was clean and the bed large. Free water refills in two provided glass bottles is a great touch and being able to get fresh beach towels every day also. The location is excellent, especially if you're going to do water activities, such as swimming with the dolphins. (Kayaking with the dolphins in Tamarin Bay was the highlight of our trip).

The breakfast was a bit lacking. While the omelets were great, they only had croissants one morning during our stay, which is a shame because they were delicious. The rest of the time there were small pastries with raisins... Also, the sunbeds were often occupied by towels for hours on end without anyone actually using them. Unfortunately everyone has to play this game or you'll end up without a sunbed most of the time.

Beach, location, setting... You get what you pay for and the vibration is beautiful. Waking up everyday for a swim at gorgeous turquoise waters... Beach front with plenty of room to hangout... Location is 4min from stores and restaurant, and 10-30 minutes from most of the best attractions you'd find on the island.

The hotel can do better in creating consistent service. Some people are amazing and think outside the box while others either just follow orders or simply don't think. One way to accomplish that could be better internal communications.

The hotel has a beautiful coastline, you can eat your breakfast and dinner next to the ocean, it is very nice and romantic. The garden of the hotel is fabolous, very nice, good kept. And finally the staff, they have made our stay perfect, they are really kind and helpful people, thank you for them😊

The room could be more clear. There are some things in the room which should be renovated/fixed. Unfortunately the room 21 is really loud, the storage of the kitchen is next to the room and in the early morning and in the late evening it was very loud. There was a strange smell coming from the toilet/bathroom all the time. But again, once you are out of your room everything is perfect, so despite the some negative effect which we experienced, we would again stay in the hotel and could reccommend.

We had a wonderful stay at La Mariposa. The staff was very attentive and helpful, the breakfast was very good (even if some more veggies would have been appreciated), the room was spotless clean and spacious enough (and the shower was great). The garden is a dream. We enjoyed the buffet dinners next to the beach a lot, there was plenty to choose from and the meat and curries were always delicious. The beverages are reasonably priced, as are the lunch options. They serve filter coffee for breakfast but it's good coffee, and the cappuccino is only € 2.50 if you need it.

I feel like vegetarians would have a harder time at dinner time, as even salads often had meat or fish in them and the vegetarian dishes (such as pasta) were sometimes rather bland. I also missed vegetables at breakfast. The wine list could definitely be longer.

Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs and requests. The establishment was very neat and tidy. Rooms were comfortable and good size. Facilities at the resort were very good. We had a lovely stay at La Mariposa. Thank you to Dweena and all her staff.

A little more attention is needed regarding cleaning of the bathrooms daily - can be improved, which would make this place closer to perfect! Just something to look at.
