Fabulous small boutique hotel in Valletta, close to the buzz but tucked away in a quiet street so you are not disturbed. The room was fantastic with great views over the city and across the harbour towards Silema. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much of a bother for them. The restaurant was outstanding and managed to fit us in the evening we arrived despite us not booking. Suite 7 has a rooftop hottub, which is a fantastic way to spend a little time in the evening with a glass or 2 of wine.

We didn't like having to leave at the end of a great stay. Otherwise we could not find fault with Casa Ellul

I had a lovely bright room with a beautiful small rooftop terrace. The room was indeed well designed and the location was convenient. The staff was helpful and easy to communicate with. I guess I was lucky with my room rate, as it was off season and early in the week. I appreciated the coffee maker. The hotel is a great place to explore and my room was very enjoyable to retreat to after all the business in the streets.

The breakfast was tasty, but staff wasn't very attentive, I would have appreciated some refills. The lobby is really small and not suitable for, let's say, hanging out and reading. There is a small indoor patio that was not ready due to the weather.

The amazing staff. The reception staff Grace and the evening staff. Along with the Manger Charlemagneo (Charles the Great). Which he was in personality and passion for his trade. They get involved in every aspect of your journey from booking and restaurant recommendation to planning and advising on what to see. This hotel felt like home it had a heart and the interior design was beautiful and I love the fact our room had a dressing room, nice linen , and balcony (to take in the view). Breakfast was also great, but I would have liked them to open the roof as to us the weather was perfect and I wanted to feel the Sun.

We went at the best time October (weather amazing for sight seeing) and I would have liked a bar facility as the Social areas where amazing, so without a bar facility the social areas where a bit quiet and under used, which was a shame as they where decorated with perfection.. NB: you could order a drink at reception and you do have a mini bar), but it is not the same so atmosphere in the communal areas was quiet It was more like a bed and breakfast (no evening restaurant facility either). But those areas did not take away from he beauty and the soul of this place.

Hotel was lovely. A bit difficult to find but that’s true of most of Valletta! Since it was early in the day and our room wasn’t ready, we were sat down and offered a coffee. They kept our bags and we set out to explore. We came back for check in time and all went smoothly. We had guests for dinner which was fabulous! Since there was a large group in the larger part of the restaurant, we had a room all to ourselves with our 2 guests. The food, wine, staff and physical space were all fabulous. A lovely set of experiences.

The open shower was a bit slippery and caused bathroom wetness.

Casa Ellul was excellent and what really made our star 5 star was the level of service. All the staff were excellent, very professional, extremely polite and a high level of service.

We were staying for 4 days. It would be useful to have a bit more space to put clothes -it was rather limited. Also a chair is always very useful in a hotel room and perhaps a few more hooks. This is just very minor feedback thought.

Everything was perfect, no exaggeration. Service was impeccable, the room was lovely (get one with a view of the harbor, it is well worth it. The restaurant is world-class and so were breakfast and dinner. Located in romantic Valletta, small cobblestone streets and quaint shop and friendly locals. I am going back to Malta for sure.

The breakfast was very good. Nice choice and promptly served. Ate dinner in the restaurant once and that was very good too. The room is spacious for one person, not so good for two. It has a small balcony with 2 chairs. Pleasant to sit there in the early evening. It was an excellent central location for exploring Valletta. The staff were very attentive and friendly.

The net curtain was filthy with dust. Valletta is a dusty place and it should have been washed more often. The air conditioning was noisy which didn’t worry me as I had earplugs but would have annoyed others. There were drawers to put my clothes in but nowhere to hang them.

Really loved everything about the hotel. I think the wonderful staff were a real stand out, as well as the location. We dined at their restaurant and the experience was phenomenal.

I think the toilet in our room could use a little refresh but thats a very minor thing and really the only thing I could fault.

The location is very central Hotel has nice traditional features ie balconies. Staff were very helpful and attentive Breakfast was very good food and turndown service with sweet treats. Brownies at the end of dinner - incredible!

Not a criticism of the hotel but you do hear street noise (which is always the case when you choose somewhere central) but flagging for other people booking and the rooms facing the church have a beautiful view but pigeons noise is also audible.

This is a charming hotel. Perfectly located in the old town. Very helpful and polite staff. Delicious breakfast. The rooms are a good size and nicely decorated. It feels elegant but also very welcoming.

We had two rooms, the one facing the courtyard doesn't get much natural light. The other had a gorgeous terrace with a jacuzzi on it, but the jacuzzi made an incredibly loud noise when you turned it on. Small quibbles though.
