Very clean, large rooms. We had deluxe rooms, and they were just like the pictures. Breakfast was very good, although not a lot of alternatives. The staff which was most welcoming even when we didn’t have a diner reservation.

As said before, if you stay for more than 2 -3 days the breakfast could get boring. Not really linked to the property, but as we visited between Christmas and New Year, Saint Hippolyte was practically deserted, no restaurants opened or shops from where to buy some chips. The good thing was that diner was catered by the hotel, and it was a very good one.

We’ve stayed here before and returned because of the quality of the hotel. There have been changes and some improvements- the swimming pool and associated areas for one. The food was good and the waiting staff superb. Our room was quiet and cosy with a balcony. The newly renovated bathroom was a real bonus. The price and location met our needs once again.

The restaurant was always a focus of the hotel - a superb choice of food in a quiet and genial atmosphere. Here was our disappointment. There was no menu to choose from - there was just the dish of the day . . . lovely though the 4 courses were, it was just lucky we liked what was served. The restaurant was crowded- full to capacity on the days we were there. The serving times were limited. The result was a frantic effort by staff to serve the tables in good time. . . Not very relaxing! It appears that the hotel caters for guests in any another nearby hotel. A strange arrangement. Last point, ‘changing facilities’ at the pool need consideration.

Breakfast was fantastic. Really nice choice and very good quality. We especially appreciated the crémant which was a lovely touch. The spa area was a wonderful bonus and had a beautiful view from the pool.

Everything was wonderful. The only caveat is that there are limited transport options from Sélestat station in the evenings if you are not arriving by hire car so check that out first. There were no buses or taxis from the station to the hotel after 9pm.

It was awesome! Fantastic view, great spa, authentic French atmosphere, good breakfast with champagne...

Extra payment for the spa. There wasn't a fridge and coffee machine in the room. We didn't like coffee, which were served for breakfast.

Great location. The family room was spacious and with lovely views of the castle. Really liked the decorations. Staff was really nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good.

The pool not being free for the hotel guests. Dinner set menu not able to get something small.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, surrounded by vineyards, with a superb view from the balcony. Welcoming and friendly staff made all guests feel special. The food in the restaurant is excellent.

I woud have liked a room with a bath.

We had a spectacular stay in early January. We loved the prix fixe dinner, the view of the property’s own vineyards. And we adored the view from our room and the wine list in the restaurant. Comfortable bed. Simple parking. Pleasant breakfast buffet and coffee in the morning. We hope to be lucky enough to return!

Though perhaps a little old fashioned, our room was spacious. Between it and the hallway was a vestibule off which were separate loo and bathroom. Our room was at the back facing south east so we enjoyed the morning sun on the balcony. Breakfast had everything including cremant. Dinner was a good table d’hote menu served in a delightful dining room with views across the countryside. One reserved a table after breakfast. The clientele were 60+.

The bathroom was badly designed. The shower was likely to flood the floor and there was no shelf on which to place one’s toiletries.

Perfectly situated in the vineyards. The hotel is perfect for people who love nature. You can hike, walk or cycle directly from the hotel. The service at the hotel is excellent. I can highly recommend it.

Room is very big, great view. A lot of closets, big dresser, looks like apartment. Good breakfast.

No shelf on the shower, need [place your shampoo, conditioner, soap in the floor.
