The hotel was beautiful. Check in was fast and very professional. Staff were lovely and friendly especially the girl in the bar that served us lunch. She smiley and friendly couldn't do enough. Lunch was delicious. Our room was very nice and spacious and thank God for the fan.
No air con in the rooms was a disappointment. That was my only dislike. Also went for breakfast and unfortunately we missed it so the lady told us there was a coffee dock. So we said we'd get a coffee on our way home and I said id get a crossiant for the car. Nearly dropped to the floor when she asked me for 4 euro....I said sorry what? She said 4 euro. It was outrageous. I wouldnt mind it wasn't even that fresh. Ridiculous price for 1 crossiant.

Great location, about a 20 min drive from all locations we went to (3Arena, Temple Bar) and only half hour from the airport. The staff allowed us to check in early with no extra cost and the facilities were very nice.
The bedroom got very hot at night, but the price to add AC was quite a lot. We also put the “room freshen” hanger on the door but we were only given fresh towels, despite being down to just one loo roll. However, the reception staff were helpful and sent someone up to us with more loo roll within a couple minutes of asking.

I liked the location in relation to the event we were going to at the RDS nearby (Megacon Jan 2025). Made it very easy to come and go as we wished. Similarly, with the bus lines only across the road, making getting to other parts of Dublin quick and handy. The rooms we were staying in were clean and had what we needed for the weekend stay. The front desk was accommodating in getting our rooms connected, which I appreciated. Also, on our day to check out, they were gracious in allowing us to both, keep our luggage with the hotel after we had finished our stay and, eat in the bar/ restaurant downstairs for lunch. Overall, it was a great place to stay at for the event we were attending just around the corner at the RDS. I would recommend it to anyone in a similar situation in the future.
Not many things, if anything, to outright complain or criticise. I did originally have our group booked elsewhere in Dublin before switching to here, as it better suited our needs. As such, I had booked only about 2-3 weeks prior to our stay, so I wasn't surprised or upset about the pricing, (It came to about 140pp for our group of 5). Only complaint, if any, I could think of, even then, I had already expected as such beforehand.

Breakfast was advertised to start at 6.30, but when I came down just after 6.30, it was not yet open, and another waiting guest told me that she had been advised it would open at 7 am. I came back at 7.05 and there were hordes of people. Lines for coffee, no scrambled egg left. As I was then in a hurry to catch a train, I had to settle for a pastry and coffee. 😕 I gather a tour group was told to breakfast at a certain time - judging by their progress with the cooked breakfasts, I would say it was prior to 7 am. I am travelling alone, and felt pretty miffed at missing my paid for cooked breakfast.

The size of the room was great and the comfort was brilliant. We arrived early and were greeted by friendly staff at reception informing us we could leave our luggage with them and check in later which was extremely helpful.
The shower was a little fiddly and we found that even when we found a food temperature there were moments of cold coming through. The rooms also weren't sound proof, there was a couple having a loud conversation/argument in the room next to us and it felt like we were in the room with them. Despite all this we would definitely stay again as the room is definitely value for money.

The hotel was big, spacious and had a lot of facilites. The bedroom was spacious and clean. nice selection of tea and coffee.
wifi reception was very poor in the bedroom and kept on dropping. No cupboard space to unpack properly, open wardrobe was fine for shirts, but not other items I booked hotel since it had a carpark, but after booking in general email, it mentioned that it cannot guarantee a car space and there was an extra fee for parking. As it happened, I found a space easily but this made me worried before arriving of where to park.

Check In self service was good,.as long que for reception so meant we by past this. Easy to use and was the same with check out, just pop your key card in a box after checking out online. Staff friendly, and helpful. Location was good. Food lovely. All round lovely hotel and will definitely be back.
Even though check out was good online and able to drop key card in box, when checking out online you one had 10 mins before key card deactivated, would be nice to have a little longer in case need to go out and back into room, not a big issue thiugh but would be nice to have that option I suppose. Pillows were a little harder for my daughter, she didn't like them but I suppose this is personal preference.

The beautiful grand hotel, the location and the décor. The entrance and grounds are stunning. Also the beds were exceptionally comfortable and the bed linen was of a high quality.
The view from the room was a wall. Would have preferred a better view. Would have liked to have had the tea tray and cups replenished and the bin emptied. There were three guests and only two mugs. Neither of these observations detracted from the comfort and enjoyment of our stay, but if these were addressed, it would be something that would uplift the whole experience.

I truly enjoyed my stay at the Clayton Hotel. The hotel is in a grand/beautiful building. I had limited interacation with the staff, but those I did interact with were very pleasant and helpful. My room was very clean and the bed really comfortable. The breakfast had a nice variety of items and evertything was tasty. The location was far enough from the city center to remove one from the hustle and bustle, but close enough for one to walk to the city center if one likes. I would not hesitate to stay at the Clayton Hotel on my next visit to Dublin.
Nothing, everything was excellent
