Lovely old-school airport hotel, a short walk from terminal. It felt like a proper hotel - so different to most modern airport hotels where you're crammed into a tiny space to maximise profit. It had a large, comfortable bedroom, a great outdoor heated pool, and a nice bar area around it to relax in.

Sadly I was there during the holidays, so the restaurant service was reduced to 'snacks'. These looked good too, but due to some confusion after ordering a beer and food at the bar, I then sat for an hour on the terrace waiting for the food to arrive... I find it hard to fathom why the barman would think I asked for food and a beer, but didn't want the food until after I left the terrace and went back inside to the bar....? Also no waiter or waitress came to at least check if I was ok whilst I was sitting there, which was disappointing for such a nice hotel. Apart from that the staff at reception were friendly and helpful.

I GOT SHOT of my hire car at Nantes Airport and enjoyed a very pleasant overnight at Oceania Airport Hotel. The tiny roads inside the perimeters of Nantes Atlantique Airport are extremely confusing and it took me ages to find the car rental office (practically next door to the Oceania Hotel); there are just too many silly little roundabouts and not enough big helpful road signs. I thanked my lucky stars I arrived on the evening before my scheduled flight, as trying to make it on time for a flight on the same day would have proved stressful beyond belief! The hotel (when I did get there) was a very welcome sight and staff at the Oceania were extremely welcoming. There was some kind of funny business at check-in to do with a deposit (even when repeated by the receptionist in English, this rigmarole was impossible to understand: Booking.com quoted €185 but the figure now bandied about was €225).The receptionist was nice enough in that French manner you sometimes get: a detached serenity that almost borders on snooty. Anyway, I was exhausted after driving and to be honest, couldn’t be bothered quibbling with her: I would sort it when checking out. The room was really comfortable, apart from inefficient A/C (a feature I’ve found problematic in various French hotels I’ve stayed in). The swimming pool at the Oceania is a great size and my swim was cool and delicious after a long drive from the North coast of Brittany. The dinner menu was very restricted (something to with ‘staff on holiday’), so I made do with vegetarian lasagne for €16 (a bit processed but it came with a nice, freshly dressed side of lollo rosso). After a pretty good sleep in a clean and comfortable bed, a hearty breakfast (€20), buffet-style of course with all the usual suspects: juice, cereal, the obligatory croissants etc, plus omelette/scrambled or boiled eggs. As check-out time wasn’t until midday, there was the added luxury of another refreshing swim after breakfast…

As I had anticipated, the payment carry-on was all sorted at check-out and with the free shuttle, I was in the airport terminal quick as a flash. (A short note about Nantes Atlantique Airport - it’s extremely busy for all the size of it - seats are at a premium throughout, queues for security, then passport control somewhat lengthy, so give yourself plenty of time to make your flight). Overall, Oceania Hotel is very decent and professionally run and I would recommend it for a stopover the night before you fly out or for a restorative break when you touch down, before your onward journey next day.

No the noir or breakfast tea in bedroom. No black tea available at dinner. I came looking for a hot chocolate in the morning but there wasn't any but I found breakfast tea in the box. I was asked to pay for breakfast but explained I had only a cup of tea. I was also asked for tax which I had already paid on arrival. If breakfast tea had been available in the room, I would not have needed.to ask in the restaurant.

Nice hotel and interior. Rooms were modern with all essentials. Within walking distance to Nantes Airport.

We stayed a Saturday night and the airport shuttle doesn't operate at weekends. Also the restaurant is closed weekends with the exception of a limited snack menu. Breakfast was fine but I would recommend they revisit their salads on their snack menu. Otherwise staff very friendly and professional.

A lovely hotel right beside the airport with a fabulous pool, really nice bedroom, and lovely front of house staff. Special thanks to Kétia on the front desk and the housekeeping staff for finding my mother’s very sentimental rosary cross and arranging to ship it back to her in Ireland. Very much appreciated.

The restaurant was closed at the weekend, and the shuttle bus wasn’t operating either.

Breakfast was very good . Great variety, excellent muesli, bacon and omelette. Good coffee. Room was comfortable, clean, plenty of bottled water. Excellent bathroom amenities. Excellent dark curtains to block out light and it was noise- proof

It was very warm when I first went into the room so took time to cool it . This meant I couldn’t get off to sleep earlier as it was too hot to sleep in . The doona was not light weight. I would have preferred to just have a sheet to cover me

We’ve been repeat clients over many years. The hotel offers a convenient location within walking distance of the airport terminal for our early-morning flight out, with clean and comfortable rooms.

We watched part of the Roland Garros tennis tournament final in the bar. Food and drink were good, if pricey, and the atmosphere very pleasant, only spoiled by a repeatedly rude and aggressive waitress.

The location is very good and the staff are wonderful. It’s a great option for a short stay near the airport, which is reachable on foot in less than 10 minutes. Coffee machine inside the room.

No power outlets next to the bed. In the bathroom, the shower is installed without any wall or partition, so water splashes over the entire bathroom floor.

Great position (5 minutes walking from the terminal), room comfy and quiet. Good amenities in the room.

The wifi didn't work well on my laptop. It kept connecting and disconnecting (maybe I was in a peripheral room with low signal). There was no power outlet close to the bed, which in this day and age is quite weird and uncomfortable.

I liked the extremely close proximity to the airport. The later than usual checkout time of 1200pm. Finding Rituals as the brand of toiletries was a very pleasant surprise. Room was extremely comfortable and clean. Generous room amenaties.

The desk layout was rather unituitive as the part you can sit in front of had a huge coffee machine in the way, propose moving the coffee machine to the other side.
