The Rate Ferien & Wellnesshotel Windschar is a very charming and comfortable hotel, with huge welcoming rooms, exceptional cleanliness and all sorts of wellness services, from spa, to massages, sauna, and pool. There is even a whole museum with the hotel's history and collectibles in the underground passage connecting the two buildings. However, the most intriguing part was their kitchen/restaurant. The breakfast buffet is phenomenal, with dozens of options for any diet, including gluten-free and vegan options. The 5-course dinner was even better, with their intricate fine cuisine focused on regional cuisine. There was not a single dish we disliked during our one-week stay, the food was just magnificent! The best we ever had in any hotel so far. Moreover, their leisure spaces are very cozy and sophisticated, such as the tee corner or even the lounge areas. We had no issues finding parking, so that's a plus too. Overall, our experience was very positive!

The sauna was closed every time we visited, and the pool heating was not working as it should, since the water was quite cold. Also, the waiters were a bit selective, usually prioritizing guests who ordered more drinks and checked on them more often. We didn't even get our "welcoming drink" for some reason.

Top hotel with a great SPA area. The food was very, very good indeed and made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff were super friendly and on two evenings we were treated to live music Excellent!! The cocktails were excellent too. Great location just outside of Bruneck

The only point we could find was that the hotel name could be a bit easier to find … there are 2 buildings linked together and we were just a little confused where to go. Once you know where everything is it’s no problem.

Considering the very high temperatures during our stay, not having air conditioning in our room was a bit uncomfortable. A bit overpriced: a .75 bottle of water priced 4,50 euros is too much

We had a wonderful stay with our family and friends, we enjoyed it. I can't fault anything. From the professional staff, the delicious food, the helpful approach, to the hotel facilities and wellness - everything was perfect. I highly recommend it.

There could be a few more spaces in the room for the bulky skiing clothes/gear, maybe a few handy hanging hooks or shelves.

The bathroom was old Cleaners were so loud from 7am in the morning (talking in the corridor for example)

Perfect hotel, the wellness place is the best, the location is great, the staff explain all the things we can do around the place, breakfast was delicious. We had a wonderful view through our windows. .

Unfortunately our room was in 3rd floor and elevator was not working so we had to carry the bags upstairs.

A great hotel, we took a delux room that was big, but cozy and warm. Plenty of facilities, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, clean, well lit, looks great.

Location is not so quite, shower water stream is not strong enough.

The service flawless. I really liked the small events (guided walks, wine degustations ecc.) which they organized every day. They offer a van that takes you to the ski resort every day. The food (breakfast and dinner) was the best hotel food we ever had. Also, they have a nice wine list with a lot of choice for good prices.

The first room we got was small and with a really old bathroom but after we complained they moved us to a better room.
