The breakfast was the best we had in seven hotel stays in Italy. Shirley spoiled us with smiley face cappuccinos & a warm greeting every morning. The location could not have been better, we could walk 5-10 minutes to everything we wanted to see. The sitting area with light snacks & drinks was a nice touch, very comfortable setting. Pam was great checking us in & taking our luggage for storage. It was a beautiful hotel.

Although the location was great, the area could be loud at all hours of the night with tourists & with workers in the early morning.

Fantastic location. Beautifully decorated hotel. Enjoyed reading the history of the framed photos along the reception hallway. Included a very good breakfast buffet each day with plenty of options. One of the gentleman staff very friendly and we loved the smiley face on cappuccino! Happy to see a retractable clothesline in the tub/shower area.

At check in we were made aware our room was one of two above the fourth floor, accessible by a narrow gorgeous wooden spiral staircase. This didn’t pose much of a problem. We are both relatively fit and middle aged so we didn’t ask for if other options were available. (On the plus side, to our surprise there was a nice walled balcony with two chairs and a view of the Dome!

This is among the best hotels we have stayed in. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, Lando, Ferdie, Jerry, Evelyn, Shirley. The room is always clean, there was enough variety of food at breakfast, the pistachio croissant was my favorite. We love how the hotel was decorated, its like travelling back in time. The location of the hotel dining area was amazing, its on top of a landmark archway. The stay in the hotel was a big part of our wonderful Florence experience.

The location and amenities were just as we expected. Breakfast was delicious and staff delightful. Grateful for elevators and a room phone that worked for local calls.

I hate to say it, but I am pretty sure housekeeping went through our gifts from our trip to Venice and helped themselves to one of my purchases. I know I should have put more emphasis to managing my belongings, but it's just so unfortunate this occurs.

Fantastic location, generous breakfast, comfortable lobby, very convenient parking arrangement and 24/7 access to fridge with water. Finally the staff was always available and helpful, doing the extra mile to make your experience as pleasant as possible.

Room was quite small and the bathroom alike, while it had an issue with water temperature mixing, being either cold or hot. The toiletries were very basic and overall the shower could be renovated and upgraded.

Room was clean, quiet, and enjoyable - beds (even the sofa bed) were comfortable. Loved the high ceilings and natural light from the big windows and the old-world charm of the place. Bathroom was great - best water pressure we had in any shower on our trip. Location was wonderful - the beautiful carousel in Piazza della Repubblica, the live music at Cafe Paszkowski (we came late for a glass of wine and stayed until they closed). Breakfast was delicious with lots of gluten free options for my celiac family members. We loved the hotel's rich history - the photos in the main reception area and lobby are a fascinating look into the hotel (and the city's) past. Well worth a look.

The hotel is charming and had everything we needed. The lounge was comfortable and had a relaxed home from home vibe, and still was elegant. The decorative style was old world charm with lovely period touches. Our room was a good size and we had everything we needed in it and the en-suite. Breakfast was good. A good range of food on the buffet. Overall I would recommend this hotel. It is in a perfect location - very central and yet completely quiet.

We didn’t like the filter coffee, but the cappuccino and espresso we ordered were fine.

We loved everything about Hotel Pendini, but especially the location, and the historic ambience. Our room was large, very comfortable and had a magnificent view of the Duomo and Piazza Della Republicca, which was often lively and entertaining. Breakfast was wonderful, as was the communal sitting room, with complimentary tea, coffee etc. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful, particularly arriving, with having had a bag stolen on the train from Rome containing with my husband’s passport. Would definitely stay here again.

Super hotel and amazing staff I can't recommend it highly enough. Fabulous breakfast kept us going all day, free tea, Coffee and Juice in the lounge along with pre breakfast nibbles whilst you wait for the dining room to open if you are an early riser Clean towels everyday, good hot showers and spotlessly clean. Ample size rooms charming decor, very pleasant atmosphere. Located within walking distance of all major attractions, bang in the middle of shops and restaurants but not noisy enough to disturb during the night. The hotel is on the 4th floor but there is a lift. Computer and printing facilities available Fridge and safe in the room

Absolutely nothing

Beautiful building, amazing location next to the Piazza Della Repubblica! The breakfast was amazing and we loved that they had drinks and cookies available in the lobby - it was always so nice after a long hot day. The air conditioning was strong. Great shower pressure for an old building! Very comfortable stay and would definitely stay again.

The rooms and hallway are small. The brass bedframe is not really a frame - it’s just zip tied to the bed and we bumped our toes on it many times. Perhaps they can get ride of the brass decorative frame at the foot of the bed.
