The room was decent. The food was good. The garden space was nice. The staff were very polite. Plenty of space to walk your pet as well as enough room between outside tables to have them around comfortably.
Minor items: Booking a room with a pet, one would expect some bowls available in said room. We managed with travel bowls and a personal towel in the bathroom to keep spillage away from the room carpet. Spa services were booked in advance and while the pool is free to use, spa attire was not included in the price of the booking. 5 £ for robe and slippers rental/person. Having them is not imperative, but helps with transitioning between the hotel and spa areas. Especially if you don't feel like changing from a bathing suit in a changing room as opposed to your own room. Food/drink service was slow at times. (Not overall)

The property itself was gorgeous. Situated in the hills with gorgeous views but only a 15-20 minute walk into Abergele city centre. The rooms are slightly dated but we didn’t mind that because they were still lovely and clean. The facilities (pool, thermal pool, sauna etc) were clean and really relaxing. The staff couldn’t be more helpful, from the very start of our stay they couldn’t have been better. The receptionist had to come and get us from the station as it was so late we couldn’t get a taxi and she was more than happy to help. Any issues or queries were resolved straight away. Food was lovely, the wait was never long and the bar was a great place to relax of a night with plenty of indoor and outdoor seats. We will definitely be back here.

The hotel was lovely and all the staff we're brilliant. The spar was a lovely experience especially for couples wanting to relax together. Our evening meal was exceptional made special as we were celebrating a belated Anniversary. Both my husband & l can't state how much we enjoyed our night in the Brassiere which was beautifully decorated. The waiting on staff couldn't have made it more special - thank you. The only down side was a football presentation going on when we arrived and it was busy and raucous with kids. However thankfully this finished at 8.30pm so didn't spoil our evening.
Kids being disrespectful to their surroundings and outdoor furniture which was thrown around evident when l took my dog for a walk in the morning - what a shame parents don't seem to control kids these days !

This was a very friendly and comfortable hotel. It enjoyed a nice position and the addition of a comprehensive spa made it a really worthwhile visit. The breakfast is lovely and every member of staff is so helpful, welcoming and friendly.
I got lost finding the hotel from the A55 junction. I kept seeing the sign for ‘Gwestry Hotel’ but I failed to realise that sign was dual lingual. Once I had turned onto the oblique entrance lane I saw a sign for the hotel. This is a personal opinion too but I found the bed too low and soft but as I say this is a subjective viewpoint. Finally can I politely ask that any mould is cleaned from the inside of the UPVC window frame. It is off putting seeing mould especially given I have asthma.

We did not use the Spa , We did have Breakfast and Dinner every day we were there and enjoyed the food , and the friendly staff.
It would have been a lot better if you had notified us NOT to use the Satnav as we followed the instructions from twelve miles north of Bristol and ended up twice at the none functioning barrier , The directions on the board near the barrier was not very clear to strangers as we nearly end did up twice more at the barrier, It was raining very hard at the time, We were so glad to find the very small notice board at other entrance, Apart from the torrential rain three days out of the four we were in North Wales everything went well, ??? It was however a very expensive few days , Yours Truly , Jeff Hughes.

The Kinmel has been updated quite a lot since our previous visits. Nice and clean, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the steam room in the spa is amazing. Breakfast was really good too.
The jacuzzi could be warmer, it was a little too cool to stay in for long. Same for the latte from the coffee machine! Didn't quite get the £5 supplement for eggs benedict at breakfast, is it really more expensive to have 2 eggs, a muffin, some ham and hollandaise than all the ingredients in a full breakfast (2 eggs, 1 sausage, 2 bacon, black pudding, hash brown, fried bread, mushsrooms, beans and tomato)? A potential £24.50 for eggs benny seems a bit steep! All tasted lovely though.

Lovely hotel, excellent, friendly staff who remembered who you were and took time to help and answer any questions about the hotel or things to do around the area. Rooms were good, hotel was very accessible from a main road, but far away enough to be quiet and somewhat secluded. Breakfast was good, and Spa was excellent. Pool was a on the small side, but it didn't affect us as a family.
Only minor things.. TV not that important but we are at the hotel during the Olympics.. could not receive BBC channels so couldn't watch any Olympics as a result. Wifi was good but occassionally cut out and/or you needed to login again. Large fan was provided during a very warm week when we stayed at the hotel, air con would be a great upgrade.

My 3rd visit to this lovely dog friendly hotel with views over some stunning countryside and very easy access to the motorway and beaches, as well as popular towns like Conwy and Llandudno. The onsite restaurant is definitely a plus point and offers a tasty selection at breakfast and dinner to suit different needs, including vegetarian. For dinner, we enjoyed some very fresh & tasty fish dishes! Definitely worth eating onsite! The staff, as always, were very helpful and attentive when needed. Our rooms were comfortable and clean as expected with the usual complimentary teas & coffees provided, as well as bottled water. However, as much as I love this place, an honest review is necessary! Although my room was a decent sized double room with standard hotel deco, the bathroom could definitely do with some renovation! The grouting in the shower was a bit mouldy in the corners and the bottom of the toilet bowl had a permanent stain, which was quite off-putting! My son's room was a smaller double room but was in a better condition and had a mini fridge as well, which was a surprise as my bigger double room was more expensive! Overall though, I would still recommend this place for all the previously mentioned plus points!
Although it is dog friendly and a small fee is paid for a dog friendly room, I was surprised to find that nothing had changed since our visit last year, and there are still no doggy bowls or beds available! I had to bring everything which is a bit of an inconvenience in my opinion. I also found that the restaurant which dogs were allowed into last year, is no longer dog friendly and we had to have breakfast and dinner in the lounge/bar area, although this was not a problem as it is a nice roomy area which opens out onto the front terrace and garden. It was only a bit of an issue at breakfast, as there was no table service which meant that we had to go back and forth to the buffet in the restaurant. To be fully dog friendly, I believe some basic doggy facilities should be offered.

Location is great. Feels rural but is close to amenities. Exterior looks fresh and well maintained as do the reception, bar and restaurant areas. Excellent quality food both at dinner and breakfast. Friendly helpful staff.
The room looked a bit tired - some peeling paint, knocks/marks on the walls, grouting between tiles in bathroom needs refreshing. Very tarnished metal bin in bathroom, for which foot pedal didn’t work. Awkward to use tap on sink. A few small cobwebs on ceiling above beds. Pillows are thin and a bit lumpy. TV reception not great, kept pixelating and sound affected.

Hotel main areas, bar, brasserie and function rooms were very nice and all the staff were excellent and helpful. The Spa inc its staff was great and a lovely addition to the hotel.
The room I stayed in (106) needs new mattresses as they were very soft and you could feel the springs making for a sleepless night. The bathroom needs minor refurbishment as there was mould in the sealant and the bathroom wasn't clean.
