My goodness... we were on a motorcycle trip around the Wild Atlantic Way and this was the very best hotel on the trip. Exceptional warm welcome from all the staff and a big 'thanks' to James (one of the owners and the brewer in their own brewery on site), for his tuition in beer making and for giving us a taster of his special stout (12% proof?) which he had conditioned in whisky casks that had originally been for sherry. Blimey! And the food was sublime. Fat and juicy fresh local oysters... I had the scallops on black pudding. And kippers for breakfast. A veritable feast. We all had rooms with a sea view and they gave us secure motorbike parking in the brewery yard. Hospitality on steroids!
None of the 5 of us could fault this hotel. Truly exceptional.

Excellent breakfast. Magnificent location
Some of the waiting staff were grumpy when spoken to in Irish. They made me and colleagues uncomfortable by sullen service. They must learn how to handle this more professionally. If they don't speak any Irish because perhaps they have move recently to the area, they should say politely that they don't know any Irish and could use some phrases. If they are local and don't want to speak Irish they should not be in the hospitality industry in a Gaeltacht area where many visitors are there solely because it is Gaeltacht. The lady at checkout was very good. She said she didn't speak much Irish but used what she had and was pleasant. I was of course happy to conduct my business with her in English and a bit of Irish.

This hotel was very clean. The room over looked the sea. the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was beautiful good range on the menu. I had the breakfast next morning and it was lovely. Great location 5 min drive from Donegal airport, 5min walk to the Village The owner of the hotel showed me around the Brewery at the back of the Hotel. They have there own Craft beers Eirrigal, Ale, Strout and larger, IPA. I had trouble getting a taxi to the airport the next morning and the hotel staff drove me to the airport. 5 star rating for this hotel has everything. I woukd recommend🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪 👌
I loved this hotel. I have no naggtive comments

Beautiful setting with a view of the bay across the road, which was very quiet at night. Easy drives to viewing spots around the area. The bed was very comfortable, the room is a decent size by European standards. The bar and dining area was nice and the food selections were good.
Travel with your own toiletries, face cloth, and removable hooks (a.k.a., Command Strips) for hanging toiletry bag, clothes, etc. The outlets were oddly located but that is typical in older hotels.

The staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating. We arrived around 8:30pm to check in and the kitchen was closed for food. However, they made sure we got something to eat after travelling from Dublin. Food and facilities were great. Will definitely be back.
I don't have anything negative to say here. We were well looked after and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I guess having your own car is a must in Donegal as it's the only way to get around.

Extremely friendly & helpful staff - hotel was quite busy with lots of coming & going, but I never had to wait in the lobby more than a minute before someone would come and offer to help. Room was simple but attractively decorated and bed very comfortable. I had lovely view over estuary (though tide always out when I was in room!). Good sockets in the right places and practical lights for reading in bed. Room was at end of corridor and quiet, with no noise from bar or restaurant. Bathroom was simple & traditional in style but refurbished, and everything worked well. Food was unpretentious & well-cooked, with a fairly good choice, and portions very generous. Staff helpful and responsible regarding food allergies. All the public areas (lobby, bar & dining room) were very comfortable & nicely decorated.
Not much! Hotel is on main road through village, so down-side of sea view was there was some road noise in mornings & evenings, though quiet at nights. Pillows were a bit thin (but appreciated they were non-allergenic). Lighting in bathroom a bit uninspired - but functional.

Location was lovely . Our room overlooked the water. Room was great and bed comfortable. Breakfast was good and the evening meal Lovely outdoor space
Not really a not like restaurant was very busy so service wasn't as good as I'm sure it usually is. Starter plates were left on the table when main meal arrived. .

Loved the service at the bar in the afternoon, but not so much the girl that served us in the evening. She was not friendly and nice at all. Loved, really loved the food at the restaurant. And the micro brewed beers. That was mainly the reason why I went back. I was there on 18/12/2023 with my nephew and vowed to go back.
See above about the girl that served us in the evening of 22/02/2024 Can I say we did not like the weather? hahahaha

Spacious, bright room, with sea view. 5 stars. Food delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed rich, fresh flavours at breakfast. Breathing in the sea air, I felt invigorated. The staff treated me as though I was a welcome guest in their own homes. Every need was catered for.
I'm clutching at straws here. I couldn't fathom how to operate the tv remote. An instruction leaflet could help?

A small family feel hotel with it's own brewery and the beer was excellent. The choice of menu and quality of food was outstanding. Views across the sea too. We were there during storm eiown and they did everything to make you comfortable. We would definitely go back when we get chance.
We have not one complaint
