The room was perfect for a solo traveller or couple. The double bed was warm and comfortable it had everything you could possibly need. free WiFi, satellite TV, tea and coffee facilities,a microwave, reverse cycle air-conditioning,electric fry pan and cooking utensils, toaster, shower, bar fridge as well as a covered out door area with chairs There was a laundry on site for all guests. There's the option of ordering a continental breakfast the afternoon before which is delivered before dark so you can have it when you want the next morning without having to leave the unit. The staff were all friendly and helpful and available. The motel is 5 minutes walk maximum from the beach with plenty of cafes and restaurants within the same distance. There's a bus stop directly out front that takes you up to the main shopping centre and train station, otherwise it's a straight easy 45 minute walk up the same road as the motel. Despite being busy and on the main road the motel was very quiet.

It was handy for what we wanted and it was clean and tidy.

I didnt like that the heat pump was right over my bed. Luckily the other guests were okay with it being turned off at night. I paid an extra $75 for an extra guest (it was a three person unit, so the extra person made three) and on reading the information booklet it said that extra guests are $20 per night - we stayed two nights. Unfortunately this was late at night and I forgot to say anything in the morning before leaving.

The location was very good for us (we were dining at a local restaurant for a birthday celebration). The room was clean and well presented, and was also well lit at night (which often isn't the case). The bathroom was a good size, with generously sized shower.

Very little to complain about, but note that bathroom fittings were a little dated and worn -- for example the basin's cold tap constantly trickled or dripped, and the shower had a curtain rather than a door.

Frank was a great host. From check in till check out we had a wonderful stay. We stayed as a group with family rooms and studios. The family rooms were nice and spacious. The kitchenette was fully kitted out if you need to cook a meal. The property has WIFI so that kept the teens happy and entertained. Wrights by the sea is a quick stroll to the shops (5 minutes) where you can enjoy eating out or in our case, fish n chips on the beach overlooking Kapiti Island

The motel has a unique style with upstairs for sleeping and a double bed downstairs. The unit was private with a small patio. Great sun through huge windows and it provided easy accessibility to shops and restaurants all within walking distance.The host was friendly and accommodated an early arrival off the early ferry at 1pm.

The top level mezzanine git a bit hot but windows provided ventilation. We liked everything and have stayed here before.

Location & affordable. Electric blankets on wet & windy night was a bonus as couldn't use heat pump. Staff & cleaners are friendly & helpful.

Bathroom smelt musty , needs fan extractor. Wasn't too keen on things positioned in room like single bed right under heat pump, main light right above tv. Room 6. All other rooms I've stayed in here have been spot on.

Lovely host, asked us which room we preferred and was very friendly, room was comfortable and quiet and good for the price

The parking spaces were tight and I had to park on the street because there were SUVs parked over the lines and my car couldn't fit, also the bottom of my car scraped on the driveway, not sure how that could be helped.

Well equipped. Warm. Spacious.

We had showers In the morning. A normal average 7 minute shower. My son had a shower first 5 minutes then I put my two grandsons in together for 7 minutes. The water started to go cold on them at the end of their shower. Then I got in to have my shower thinking it should be warm enough for a quick shower but it was cold. This was only the third shower. There should be enough hot water for 5 people to have a shower each. The room accommodates 5 people and should service 5 people.

Larger room. Comfortable. Clean. Amenities were nice.

Thought (from pics and name) that the motel was across from beach. Booked thinking out door area would be nicer with view and might be able to hear the sea. Overshadowed by another accommodation supplier. Under stairs and outdoor area not so scenic. A bit disappointed as drove a while to stay near the sea.

Beds were comfy and linen was lovely and fresh. The location was perfect for our event at the Kapiti Boating Club, and the room had everything we needed.

The closest power point to the mirror was under the desk and we had to move the mirror to make our straighteners etc reach. Would have been great to have power next to the mirror or even better, one in the bathroom. The bathroom while clean, had peeling paint and a stain on the shower curtain. In saying this, the unit (in its entirety) was still great value for money.
