The rooms are simple, but extremely clean and comfortable (and quite large!). We had a lovely balcony with an amazing view of the Alps. It might have been the fact that we visited in early March, but the place was nice and quiet (wonderful for a light sleeper like myself). I truly appreciated that we had plenty of pillows in the room, and didn't have to ask. The staff behind the bar and Olga at the reception are so lovely and friendly and helpful--we felt extremely comfortable and welcome. The location in the center of Monforte is beautiful. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Parking could be tricky in a busier time of year, but we had no problem at all finding a free space (both available, and without cost) very near to the hotel.

The hotel is beautifully and centrally located on the town square of Monforte. It’s a landmark of the town and it’s terrace restaurant is very popular with locals and tourists alike. The building is beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable and stylishly furnished in traditional style. The room and the furniture was in immaculate condition and everything was spotlessly clean. The view from the balcony towards the town and vineyards was beautiful beyond words. The service was memorably good and friendly. It’s a family run hotel, and everyone seems to work with pride towards making your stay feel special. In no time the gentleman at the front desk had booked us for a wine tasting one hour later on the Sunday afternoon, and jumped in our car to show us to the car parking located just in the close vicinity of the hotel. The food and wine in the restaurant were excellent, a real quality affair in true Italian style. A fantastic stay in a memorably good hotel!

I really had the most lovely stay here! The staff, especially Cosim was a great host and very helpful. They upgraded my room so I had a lovely outlook onto the main plaza. He was so kind to give me all kinds of recommendations around the place. Also the breakfast was delicious and had lovely choices such as apricot cake, croissants, coffee, tee, fresh fruits and many more! Moreove, the restaurant serves really delicious food such as the potato cheese hazelnut gniocci. Thank you for making me feel like at home, I can't wait to be back for truffle season!

Lovely friendly staff, amazing view from our room and the little balcony was a nice touch. No air-con but a ceiling fan so the heat was manageable.

The WiFi did not work and despite us asking, it did not work the entire time.

Suite bedroom for 4 (2 adults 2 kids), very clean, almost brand new, spacious. Great breakfast. Late check-in made possible with easy access (key locker). Beautiful setting in the heart of the village, pleasant square and terrace. Quality restaurants nearby. The staff is very friendly.

The church nearby with a noisy ancient clock. Charming but not in the early morning...

Everything about Il Grappolo was excellent and all the staff, especially Cosmin, the manager, couldn't have been nicer or more friendly and helpful. Although the hotel restaurant (which does very good food) was closed in the evening (the bar and terrace are open all day until 8pm) Monforte has lots of lovely restaurants and bars for wine tastings and good food so it is a good place to base yourself for exploring the surrounding areas.

Perfect location at the square and convenient free parking close by. Very friendly staff and clean and comfortably big rooms with very nice big shower. Perfect for exploring the region. We had a very big balcony with a lovely view towards the vineyards.

There is no airco and the fan above the bed makes noise so we did not have a good nights sleep.

Fantastic location on main town square above busy café, walking distance to everywhere. Free public parking available 200m away. Spacious comfortable room. Pleasant breakfast. Manager sympathetic and available. Great value for money.

Excellent location in middle of village, excellent breakfast, friendly staff.

Unfortunately the electricity blew our first evening so we had no lighting or hot water until the next morning when staff appeared at 8 am to do breakfast! The clock bells chime every hour ( and half hour!) and a lot of noise in market square until early morning!

Really appreciated the receptionist registering us with the questura. It's not an easy thing to do but she persevered
