We have been to Jamaica Inn a few times now and we love it never want to come back home we love Cornwall we took our dog for the first time and they made her feel welcome too
Paying upfront first when we first went to Jamaica Inn we paid when we got there which meant when we went on booking.com and it was cheap but now I don't look that often unless I have the money there and then I know if we had to cancel we get our money back but we just don't look there much now which is a shame as we love this hotel I know the reason why hotels are now choosing this way for people to book holidays but it has stopped us from booking at these hotels and looking at others that allows us to pay on arrival

The beds were comfy, but the travel bed collapsed when my daughter layed on it because one set of legs were not pulled out properly and she rolled onto the floor. The inn was lovely and clean, but the walls has marks on them that looked mucky. The staff were lovely and hospitable through out the restaurant and the guests check in area. One of the bar staff seemed a little off which showed when we ordered drinks. But as for our stay it was a pleasant experience. We will definitely stay again. Oh and the lunch, dinner and breakfast was very tasty and scrumptious. Well done kitchen, restaurant hospitality desk and housekeeping 👍👍👍👍👍
Mostly everything including the gift shop and the produce shop. Weve visited the museum previously so did not take advantage of the free admission through booking overnight stay this time.

Our first ever stay after visiting many times over the last 10 years so seen changes too. All for the better. Our room in the newer block and it was lovely, comfy - a tad on the hot side even with the radiators off! A slight issue with the evening meal, in regards to waiting half an hour past our booking time as we'd been a little forgotten but it wasn't detrimental, we were offered complimentary drinks for the inconvenience which we didn't take there was no need. It just needs a little more attention when busy. A paranormal event was on, and even though we didn't take part we were "involved" so through no one else's fault sleep was a little lacking 😉 Lovely place lovely stay, looking forward to going back, highly recommend 👌

We both myself and fiancee stayed here last night arrived abit early for managed too get a table for lunch . Informed Reception that we had arrived and were currently sat eating lunch . After that we got our room key and found the door. The bedroom was fantasic clean, tidy, and over looked the duelcarrage way quiet pieceful and very highly recommended. We had a fantastic night's experience the staff are very friendly and experienced with what they need too do. Our table for dinner was booked for 6.00pm so kindly asked if we could push the booking confirmation forward no problem sorted. The dinner was fantastic. Museum was worth every penny. If you book a hotel room you can look around the museum for free. Had a fantastic night's sleep. We are already considering going back soon . Jamaica Inn and Staff thank you for your hard work and dedication in the job you do. Very highly recommend.

Most of the staff had extremely high levels of customer service. Going out of their way to help you. Some went above and beyond. There was one, though. That made me chuckle. You could tell he really didn't want to be there. A very much not my job kind of attitude. Which made me feel for his team. But besides that slight negative, they were all great. The inn itself had fantastic facilities. It had a really nice, relaxing ambience. The room I was in was awesome and really comfy bed. I loved the uneven floors, the wood beams. It gave me that sence I had been transported back in time. Gave me the experience I wanted. My partner and I will return. Thank you for a lovely evening.
I really, really loved my stay. I was slightly frustrated that with the NYE event, the tables at the top didn't get the same respect as the ones in the bottom. It felt like we dipped out with the second class seats ha ha. We never had any gold boxes or glasses or fun things, just a party popper. At the end of the day, we all paid a lot of money to be in that event 110 pounds per couple.. I would've expected a little more. But I feel I was fobbed of with a oh we ran out. One staff saying I dunno I had nothing to do with this? I replied politely. "Oh, okay.

We were touring all of Cornwall, and decided to read the book "Jamaica Inn" by Daphne Du Maurier just prior to visiting Cornwall, and then booked this hotel. The hotel is probably great even if you don't read the book, but as we had just read it our experience was enhanced. Room was great, big and clean, location is good as central point to tour local hiking/walking areas. Breakfast was fine, dinner was phenomenal, best Braised Short Rib ever (we ate in the pub, cooler atmosphere than the restaurant). There is a little museum which was great, and a big gift shop.

Everything, calm atmosphere & excellent food & hospitality, would of liked to have had a good choice of more vegan food available, however I had the vegan pie & it was very nice. I have had the pleasure of staying here on a number of occasions & I have enjoyed every minute of it, I visit the Jamaica Inn every Sunday & have for a gd few years now, love the place very much!! I will continue to visit every Sunday ♥️
Nothing to dislike, Nick & Tom are excellent staff members always polite & friendly, as are all the staff, excellent team

I was so super excited to stay in Jamaica Inn - because of the novel of Daphne du Maurier and because of the stories about its ghosts;)) And it didn't disappoint me at all! Loved the surroundings - the misty moor, loved the ambiance, loved the pub - it looks just as it should concerning the place and its history - I could stay there for hours!!! And loved the smuggling museum and two lovely stores - by the way the gentleman in the shop was super nice too!:)) The lady at the reception helped me with anything I needed, she was very friendly too!:)) Liked my room as well, although had no ghostly visitors hahah;)) Can't wait to be back there again, really! And I'm sure I will, it's already on my list of favourite places!:)

Breakfast was lovely, all meals had here were lovely. Rooms were clean and tidy and nice to have bottled water in the room along with tea and coffee etc. Loved how the pub was all decorated for halloween already. Our child really loved that. Pub was very clean and staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough.
My child was on a pull out sofa bed, however it was so uncomfortable for him, not much padding and you feel all lumps and bumps and the bars from the structure of the bed so was not comfy for him. We did find a pull out single matress under the main bed which we made up on the second night which was much better. Maybe this should be used rather than the pull out sofa bed as this really wasn't comfortable. Also the room was so hot, they did supply a fan but it was on full but isn't very powerful so didn't make a difference. Maybe a more powerful fan would be better. The windows open only slightly so not much air gets through.

Location, food, price, bar staff were good if not slightly understaffed, very nice looking inside and out.
The biggest complaint we had is with reservations. We didn’t know that if you wanted a seat in the bar area that you need to book a table. So the first two night it was difficult to sit down for dinner. The service was subsequently slow because of where we had to sit. Other than that it was a lovely stay but I think bar seating should be first come first served. Also I think the paranormal element could be made more prominent.
