The guesthouse location is scenic overlooking a plain and a farm with horses and chickens. The room was clean and spacious. Bed were comfortable and good size. The dinning area was large and beautifully decorated. There was a hot tub and sauna but I did not use it because by the time I finished cooking/eating dinner they were closed.

The water smelled sulfur which was normal in Iceland but it was so bad comparing to other guesthouses in Iceland. The shared kitchen was not so tidy and under equipped, with only 2 small pots and a worn out pan. It took some time to wait for my turn to use the kitchen/stove. Breakfast was Ok mainly cold stuffs.

The overall accomodation was great especially for the price in comparison to other accomodation in iceland. The included meal for breakfast was also good value for money and they assisted with dietary requirements. The facilities were very clean and room size was very large. Shower pressure was also amazing! The owner and the majority of the staff were lovely also. Would definitely come back and recommend to others!

Just a note when booking, the double bed listed on booking.com is actually two single beds pushed together with separate bedding. We enquired about this at reception as the room booked had a double bed not twin singles however we were told the two singles pushed together is considered a double bed.

Clean and modern. We’re surprised to get a small breakfast before we left. The place was quiet and out on a country farm where you could interact with chickens and horses. Also had a hot tub and sauna available. Our group of 4 stayed in one room with 4 beds. The beds in the bathroom were fine, but there was not really any other space for luggage or humans to exist. It worked well for one night, but we would’ve struggled had we needed to stay longer.

No laundry facilities and no refrigerators in the room. We had no way to store cold stuff or make ice for the cooler. Staff could not provide us with ice either. Could always use more sleeping pillows and a fan in the room.

Karuna Guesthouse was one of the most beautiful spots where I did spend the night. I got very lucky by choosing a double bed room in off season and got a whole studio icluding own bathroom! for myself, which I didn't expect to get. The kitchen was very clean and you got everything you need for cooking/cleaning/separating your garbage. The dining/breakfast/chill out area in the house was awesome and had a modern spacious design, you got a panoramic view into the night sky with big big windows. There was a hot tub and sauna for free. Couldn't be more happy with all this!

Clean, orderly guesthouse, highlight was free breakfast with generous breakfast offerings - value for money for similar guesthouses in EUR110-140 price range Christine, staff who greeted us at check-in was lovely, so is young lady who prepped breakfast.. Breakfast cum guest lounge area was spacious & cozy, plenty dining space & comfortable sofas for guests, right sized for guest capacity. Thank you Karuna Staff!

Modern and beautiful decor. Comfortable dining/living area. After I booked, I found out that the guesthouse offers breakfast during summer months, which was a big bonus. Breakfast had good varieties of choices and yummy. We did not use sauna/hot tub but it looked awesome- having beautiful views.

The room was small but enough for just sleep. We spent most of our time in the shared dining/living area, thus not matter much.

Very stylish (kind of eclectic, with modern and rustical mixed) and well equipped accommodation. You get almost like your own suite, not only a room. Check in and out was easy, did not meet with any staff or host. Quiet location with a beautiful mountain view. Many parking spaces. We really liked the bed and sleeping area :)

There was no breakfast option, only in high season I suppose. I must say the water is stinky, so you have to air the bathroom otherwise the whole place will stink. We did not have this problem anywhere else tho, so it's not because of the normal geothermal area..

Karuna is the best guesthouse we've been in Iceland. The room is beautiful and very large; the toilet is large too and warm. Common areas are beautiful and spacious, probably the kitchen is not very large but it is not an issue. The breakfast was very nice, just like other breakfasts we had in Iceland. Just outside our room, there were a hot tub and a beautiful sauna (60-70°C)

Everything was perfect

The atmosphere was very relaxing. It was close to nature, which made it really special. The common space and the kitchen were very good. The rooms were small but clean and convenient. The hot tub and the sauna were a nice bonus. Coffee and tea were free.

The kitchen could become really crowded in the morning and at the evening, which made preparing food difficult. There was no internet after a power cut.

We had the house to ourselves! Which was absolutely unexpected but welcomed. The lobby was really cosy and the kitchen perfectly equipped. We love animals , so we felt very good on a farm. The host was really helpful! Booking app didn't send me important informations and for two days we had a problem with Booking services. The host was very kind and very helpful and made sure that we have everyhing we need. The hot tub was absolutely amazing, really hot which was great after a long day in the Icelandic weather.
