Another great stay at The Richmond. The hotel is in great decorative state, both inside and out. All areas are clean and tidy, the room has a great view of the seafront and all the facilities you would expect. The breakfast is excellent with a good variety of items to choose from including a fully cooked option. It really sets you up for the day. All the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. Finally, the hotel boasts a good private car park, which is important as parking is sometimes difficult in the town itself.
It is not an issue to us, but the hotel does not have a lift. If there are any mobility issues, it is best to contact the hotel direct so they are aware and can help.

We were allocated a room at the front of the property so we had a lovely sea-view. The window was a bay which gave us a wide view of the entire bay. Within the bay there was a small table with chairs to either side, so we could relax - people watching or reading. We'd also been pleased to have arrived in time to find a parking space at the hotel. They had indicated beforehand that we might not get one, however when we were there we were happy to be told that the spaces were usually sufficient for the number of guests. All staff whether on reception, in the bar or the restaurant, cleaning the rooms were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the area.
I didn't dislike any aspect.

Parking is available at the rear of the property. The property is right on the sea front and only a short walk into the centre of town. The staff were friendly and helpful. They were able to accommodate my request for a room on a lower floor and offered to help take the bags to the room. The room and bathroom were large and we had a sea view, which we were not expecting. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Decent shower and wi-fi. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There was a good selection for breakfast including soya milk and yoghurts. The property also serves evening meals.
There wasn't anything that we didn't like

The Receptionist was efficient and helpful. Free parking was available. The location was excellent. The room was fantastic - a large bed plus a child bed with tea and coffee facilities plus exceptional views across the bay. You could see the pier, the sunset and hear the sea. Absolutely stunning. The bathroom was tiny but clean and perfectly fine. Breakfast was good in a lovely dining room - a selection of cereals, yogurts, fruits plus cooked to order full English - not huge portions, but certainly plenty and fresh, with options for dietary requirements. Waiting staff were friendly. It was a real treat. I highly recommend.
There is nothing I didn't like. They make guests aware there is no lift as rooms are upstairs and breakfast is basement level

The staff knew it was my wife's 80th birthday the day we arrived and that she loves the sea. As a result we had a room on the ground floor with a sea view. I don't think they organised the sunset on the first night but it was wonderful.
The parking was a bit tight but that was due to some renovation work happening at the back of the hotel. The builders vans took up part of the car park. When we left it looked as if they had almost finished. An eV charger in the carpark would be helpful. There are however a lot of fast eV chargers about a mile away at the national library of Wales.

A real traditional hotel with space and comfort at its heart. The staff were very friendly and helpful, offering to carry the luggage up to our room, and efficient in finding our reservation and allocating our room. The room was spacious and had a lovely bay window overlooking the sea and promenade, with a table and comfy chairs you can relax in and watch the world go by. The room was clean, had good lighting so reading was easy and comfortable. The bathroom was large with a full length bath and shower, with plenty of hot water and large white towels. Breakfast was included in our booking and very good, with three selections of prepared fresh fruit as well as the usual juices, yoghurts and cereals. The cooked part of the breakfast was freshly made, with quality, juicy bacon and fried bread with all the usual options as well. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future.

Great room with lovely view, a big family room with a double and single and large bathroom, everything needed in the room, plenty of tea, coffee and drinking chocolate, plenty of towels and free toiletries. Breakfast was very good with a great selection of hot and cold food, staff were all very nice and friendly and nothing was too much trouble, bar was well stocked and reasonably priced, great location and the private car park on site although small was good. Would definitely stay again
Tv was to small for the room and not in a good place on the wall, needs a larger tv for the size of the room and also be on a bracket that can be moved in and out as at the moment unless you sit on the single bed you cannot see the tv from anywhere else in the room, also the pillows were not the best 2 very thin pillows 1 very hard and the other lumpy just need new ones although this did not detract from our stay

Staff were really friendly and helpful, room was a good size, hotel was conveniently opposite the promenade, close to town, which is within easy walking distance, all in all great location. Tea/coffee/chocolate/biscuits facilities were well stocked, kettle and hairdryer great.
The en-suite could maybe do with a little TLC. Some of the sealant around the bath was going black, the seal on the bottom of the shower screen wasn't in great condition and the door would benefit from a coat of varnish/paint. Just a few minor issues but these didn't detract from the overall experience. However, the inclusion of a toilet brush would have been appreciated. Would we recommend. Yes, without doubt we will return.

My first time staying at the Richmond Hotel and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It was lovely to be right on the seafront and handy to be such a short walk to the station, shops and restaurants. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming, attentive and helpful from the moment I arrived and throughout my stay. I was delighted with my room: spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfy bed, excellent shower. Superb breakfast - very good selection of freshly prepared fruit to choose from, and a very nice vegetarian cooked breakfast to follow. I would definitely return.

The bedroom was large with high ceiling. The TV on the wall was also a very good size. Lovely brilliant white sheets/duvet on the comfortable king size bed. En-suite was great. We felt very comfortable in the room and would certainly use this hotel again and recommend it to our friends. Having their own car-park at the rear of the property is a bonus. Well positioned on the promenade. Also, breakfast was included in the price. The full English breakfast was the best we'd had in a long time! All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble.
Main disadvantage is probably not having a small lift, as my husband wasn't feeling too well when we first arrived. However, this would not put us off coming again.
