The restaurant was amazing, we had dinner and breakfast there and so close to the ski fields 👌 all the staff were really friendly and the heater was on before we even got in the room which was absolutely amazing since it was bloody cold. The room also kept the heat without the heater on all night. Was great for our family of four.
The restaurant times for dinner and breakfast in the booklet would have been nice. I had to ask around. I was told on check in but I was rushed so I didn't actually hear 🫠the beds were very firm, we are use to soft beds. They were very clean though and the pillows were good.

We stayed at a lovely hotel near a snow mountain with stunning views. Though it looks outdated, everything in the room was functional. The restaurant and café were cozy, enhancing our holiday vibe. We didn't try the busy common spa. The only downside was the noise from the neighboring room's footsteps. The price is also reasonable. Overall, a pleasant stay!
you can hear the footsteps and also the anti-slip thing that they put on the stairs, it feels kinda uncomfortable .. much better if they put carpet or something

Great property, we are a family of four with two small kids and booked the mezzanine room...the room is bigger than what it looks like in the photos. The one oil heater in the room kept both ground and mezzanine floors warm enough that we could be in t-shirts with zero degrees outside. The staff was even ready to.give us an extra heater on enquiring before booking the property. The room was immaculately cleaned and beds were made daily, super clean high quality towels and toiletries, had a working mini bar, kettle, TV, and 24/7 hot water. Jade from housekeeping is awesome, she smilingly accepted our request to vaccuum the room when she was signing off for the day. The staff at both the reception and the restaurant was super friendly, mostly young French folk. We had dinner there twice, good food and portions. Breakfast was limited to buffet even with a well-staffed kitchen, no a-la-carte, so not much value for money if you're vegetarian @28$ pp, otherwise good. Great location on the main road, walking distance from a Four Square, ski rental shops, and Schnapps bar, another good option for dining, sports bar types

So clean! Great linen and pillows. My fish and chips dinner in the restaurant was very good. Breakfast was also better than expected.
The spa pool closes a bit early. I can understand why - I’m guessing rowdy pool parties in the past keeping people up? But 8 pm is just too early. The temperature isn’t hot enough either! So disappointing in a cold evening. Also it’s so exposed right next to the bar window, it would be nice if it was made a bit more private from that side. Kind of intimidating to get stripped off and in the pool when you’re only 2 metres away from a big group drinking and hanging out in the bar through the windows!

Great location, easy access to Whakapapa and surrounding walks. The room was clean with basic amenities. We dined one evening at the Restaurant, the food was yum (Pasta of the Day and Beef Burger) and although we didn't drink alcohol on this visit, could see how reasonably priced drinks were.
The rooms are on the smaller side, but given we didn't spend much time in there it was fine. The hot water was a bit inconsistent as well - couple times only warm which isn't nice in the winter months but the shower pressure was great.

Good value for money for a short stay. Comfortable and clean. Although the place is large and seemed very booked up, it seemed to be run like a well-oiled machine.
One of the two spa pools was out of order, making the sole pool a bit busy. No crockery or cutlery in bedrooms. Not enough milk - only the little plastic pottles which are no good for the environment. Better environmental practices would be welcomed especially given the location and surroundings.

I loved the location, the room size we had was awesome - family Suite. We love the restaurant and friendly staff. This will be where we will spend our Matariki every year we love it ! The rooms are always so warm and cozy when you arrive.
The shower smelt weird and had hair on the ground. The bed sheets had hair on them and smelt funky. The room is right above stairs and people are so loud going up and down them.

Cosy and close to the mountain. Nice large fridge with ice box. Great to have a restaurant on site. Good big hooks to hang things on.
Although there are tea and coffee making facilities in the room with cups and glasses, be advised you will need your own knife and plate if you want to lather up your muffin.

The restaurant was amazing. The room was good value for the price and clean. Location was great and beautiful views.
Beds were uncomfortable and young family in the room next to us were very loud and woke us up multiple times during the night with crying and yelling and running around. One spa was out of order which was disappointing as it was full most times we wanted to use.

Good size room, restaurant had a good selection for breakfast and dinner , good shower , hot tub in the central courtyard was nice .
Lack of plug sockets and no usb specific plugs . The walls are a bit thin and we had very noisy kids running up and down the mezzanine stairs next door to us .( not the hotels fault ) Our fridge was on overdrive and we couldn’t turn it down ! But it meant we had ready made ice blocs for the cool bag .
