Brothers operate the property, this is a family business. They were very convivial and made to stay that much better with their deep knowledge of the area. One brother is a sports medicine enthusiast the other brother of philosopher very interesting. The property is typical for the area. Well done very clean with great appointment. In fact, we locked our key in the trunk, and one of the brothers was successful in jarring the back hatch in a way that it popped open saving us a great deal of frustration and perhaps money we are eternally grateful.

Given their facilities, I think they missed the opportunity to offer an amazing meal. We found dinner to be a miss, with a little attention to detail in the kitchen, add spices, watch the cooking temperatures and presentation plus quality of food. This could be an exceptional experience with a talented and imaginative cook in the kitchen. Breakfast was very good. they a very close to an amazing experience.

This was an excellent B and B for its personnel as well as location for easy access to the National Park. The breakfast, the dinners and the 3 siblings of the parents were phenomenal. We were treated almost like family - it was a most relaxing stay - although the hiking in the park was a good challenge. Beautiful location and great environment to talk with staff and meet other travelers from other countries. Marco is the eldest son - and provides warm and friendly welcome and environment. Matt and Maija are younger siblings - but are so welcoming and friendly - and each of the 3 children prepares specialty dishes for dinner and breakfast.

The location was beautiful and only 1 km from entrance 3 of Plitvice National Park. The building and location were quiet and the surroundings beautiful. The breakfast, which was extra, was absolutely delicious. A wide variety of homemade foods and jams were available, and Matija cooked eggs as to one's preferences if requested. The dinner was also delicious, with the meat or fish being cooked over an open fire. Matija and Marko were excellent hosts. Marko greeted us in person to show us the facilities, provide our key, and describe the National Park. Both Matija and Marko were highly personable, knowledgeable, hard-working, pleasant and responsive. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished. Parking was right beside the building.

Everything was perfect at our stay; there was nothing that we disliked.

The food was very tasty, delicious, we didn't expect such fantastic gourmet flavors, it was a huge positive surprise. The dinner menu, the breakfast menu selection was also very good and tasty! The wines and a local beer are also great! The owner was attentive and kind, there was always pleasant music playing on the terrace, it was very very cosy. The park was also close, we used entrance 1, it is also close with car. Our room (Deluxe King, 5) was perfect. It is very good that there is a common room in the building and there is water, biscuits and syrups on the table which are available at any time. I really liked that the dinner dishes had to be submitted in advance, this was not a problem at all, and I'm even glad that they take care to cook, they cook as many portions as needed. They protect the planet by not throwing away food. They put their hearts into their work, thank you so so much!!!

HOTEL/ROOM The hotel was recently updated and very clean with a nice breakfast room with complimentary hot drinks. While not huge, our room was updated and well-appointed with everything we needed, and was quite nice for the two of us. LOCATION We couldn't have asked for a better location. With a 15-minute walk or 5-minute drive from the entrance to the park, we were able to enter before the crowds arrived. It allowed us to have overlooks of the Lower Lakes all to ourselves before going down to see them with others, beating the tourist busses that arrived soon after. Side note: If you're visiting from June through the high season and want to have a more peaceful visit or take decent photographs, arrive when the park opens or within an hour of opening to beat the crowds. STAFF Since his parents were traveling, their son, Marko welcomed us. He gave us a map and showed us the perfect route that would be best to beat the crowds. This allowed us to see much of the park in a few hours instead of taking the whole day. His insider info was a big advantage for us, as he was able to plan out our route based on what we wanted to do to ensure we could see the best parts first, and avoid the typical crowds. This allowed us to go through the park at our pace and avoid getting caught up in big lines or processions of people. His kind brother is a server and sommelier of their restaurant. For a small fee, he packed us a lunch since we planned to leave for the park before breakfast was served, which made the day much easier to plan.

We really don't have anything negative about staying here. You can choose if you want to eat dinner here. It is served on a nice patio and is a good option if you want to avoid driving back in complete darkness. The food was good, but nothing particularly special. Note: They require cash for dinner or packed meals and you must notify them in advance. They will send you menu options closer to the date. Again, this isn't a negative, just a note to plan in advance.

This little B&B was amazing! The two brothers who run this property were incredible. Friendly and so informative. They go above and beyond in providing information on the best way to explore the lakes area and share so much of their local knowledge. The property itself is lovingly maintained and the room was beautifully styled, clean and comfortable. Although we did not eat breakfast or dinner we could see the selections on offer and the other guests were enjoying.

I only wish we could have stayed longer :)

Beautiful setting, lovely property. Charming family hosts and “ pastry chef.”. The dinner and breakfast were delicious. We were greeted warmly by Marco and appreciated the advice on the park. At both dinner and breakfast the adult children checked in on us and made sure we were enjoying our stay. The parents were on vacation during our one night stay so we didn’t have the opportunity to meet them. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful one night stay at this villa hosted by the Sumrak family. The family is lovely and made our short yet memorable stay so lovely. The villa is so peaceful as it's at the end of the road and sits high on the hill providing for some lovely views of the surrounding countryside. We stayed here to visit the natioanl park and this villa is perfect for the Occassion as it's a short 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive from entrance 3 of the park (as mostly secluded and unpublished entrance which provided us with quick access right into the park. Thank you to the family for providing us with personal guidance on the park including a map and a recommended route for us to take. We truly wish we had stayed more than one night and have already recommended the place to countless friends and family. We were treated to a beautiful dinner including some local liqueurs and the family has a wonderful interest and passion for local wine. It was such a peaceful place to stay - a perfect introduction to the Croatian countryside for us We look forward to returning. Make sure you bring a decent amount of cash for dinner and breakfast - it's expensive but it's all beautifully prepared.

The dinner was one of the best meals we had eaten during our travels through Croatia! Breakfast was also delicious with a lot of different options which was perfect before a day at the national park. We appreciated not having to go somewhere else for food when we were so tired on both days. I also appreciated the host describing the best route for the park. Their B&B is close to an entrance and made it very easy to enter. The bedroom was very cozy and the bed was comfortable. Would highly recommend this place!
