The Hotel is in a great location. It is walking distance to bakeries, restaurants, sushi, central gym which has plenty of machines, historical sites and shopping, as well as super close to the metro. The front desk spoke English and Spanish and was very helpful if you had questions about travel, etc. The Maple Restaurant on premises was great for breakfast which I opted in for on booking. The AC worked great, and my king size mattress was comfortable for sleep. Wifi was excellent. The cleaning person (Victoria) cleaned my room daily for 18 nights, and was super helpful. The room was very quiet at night and I slept well The photographic pictures on my floor of Petra ancient dwelling was a nice amenity This is my second stay in Mexico City and much prefer this Hotel and location

Staff was nice and helpful (most of them speak Spanish only). You can also store your luggage with them for free. Location was right in the center of the historical district for sightseeing points, restaurants, bars and kiosks.

We stayed on 3 different rooms supposedly of the same “level” for the price, and they can be a hit or miss with the variety and quality of facilities offered there as well as the size of the room. The toilet didn’t work in one of these rooms. Also, there is a constant bad smell of sewerage coming out from the shower and sink drain pipes.

The room I stayed in was on the third floor with a window to an atrium. It was a rather small room, but it had a desk, clothes hangers, a suitcase rest, a safe, a tv, and many storage opportunities. The walls were solid, and the noise was thus kept in check. I received two bottles of water from the front desk. In the morning, I discovered that the hotel was connected to a restaurant where I could have my coffee. I had requested a ride to a bus terminal upon my arrival the previous night, and it promptly arrived at the stipulated time in the morning. I would definitely pay a repeat visit to this place when I'm back in the DF.

Super convenient location. Very walkable. A/C and a ceiling fan! Hot shower Housekeeping did an excellent job. Fast check-in and check-out.

The room was VERY small for the price. The wifi was pitiful. Absolutely ridiculous for the 21st century. The next door restaurant, The Maple, was not great. Skip it. They didn't open on time (if you're in a hurry for a tour or excursion). They got the orders wrong, were super slow, and then would ask for a tip. And the food was just average.

Went to Ciudad de México for Xmas. This hotel is 2 blocks from the Zócalo where all the action happened. Easy walking distance from many sites and Xmas markets. It was my first time in Mexico City, and I was lucky to be so close. The Zócalo and its surroundings were incredibly clean. The hotel is small, cozy and comfortable, the staff on the desk, the housekeeping staff, were friendly. I was able to book a tour of Teotihuacán from the desk, which was very convenient. The restaurant served breakfast which was delicious, and the staff were friendly and eager to please, I was especially impressed by the waiter who had a Canadian family ordering food not on the menu. He spoke little English, but was working with them to get them what they wanted.

The staff was friendly and did speak English when I was clearly struggling with Spanish. The room was on the small side (but I had opted for one of the cheaper, interior facing rooms--there are much larger rooms available). The bed was comfortable and housekeeping was very thorough. The AC worked well. Having an interior facing room meant that I didn't hear much of the noise from the street which is considerable in that area. The neighborhood felt safe and there is significant police presence since it's such a popular area.

The room safe didn't work. The sink in the bathroom was a little wonky (slightly off it's base, but everything still worked). The room windows didn't lock properly, but it would've taken a particularly acrobatic person to gain access, so I wasn't too worried about that.

I like the location of the place. It’s like a 5 minute walk to the Zocalo. The room was clean and nice.

I asked them for an airport pickup and when I got there, nobody showed up. I booked an Uber instead which was fine because it was much cheaper. I did solo traveling so the size of the room didn’t matter but I was worried because the windows would not lock. I had to lock all my bags just in case and hoped nothing would happened at night.

I really enjoyed my stay at El Roble. The beds were comfortable. We did not have much of a view and I wish the bathroom had a shower cup, more soap, a towel to dry our hands, etc. But we got what we paid for. The rooms were very clean too.

The location is great because it is only 2 blocks away from the zocalo, but I do not recommend it if you will walk alone at night and you are a women. We heard a woman scream for 30 seconds to 1 minute around 11PM, then we heard the police. We do not know what happened. You can also hear the cars and garbage trucks coming around 2AM to pick up the trash and they play loud music. Nothing the hotel can do about. Overall, it was a nice stay.

This place went above and beyond my expectations. My room was super quiet and the AC worked great. The little hair dryer worked well too and the water was hot and there was good water pressure. I cannot emphasize how lovely the staff was. All of the staff members were super nice. Also the restaurant in the hotel has a good menu and the service is fantastic. Really friendly waiters. The location is good in the historic center. I would definitely come back here. Really staying here put a smile on my face everyday.
