While my stay at Sonoma Valley Inn was otherwise enjoyable, I experienced a serious safety concern when my access card was deactivated at 11:00 a.m., the exact checkout time, leaving me locked in the hallway with no way to exit the building without a card. To make matters worse, there was no accessible emergency exit, and when I called the front desk for assistance, the staff hung up on me. This policy creates a significant safety risk, and I strongly recommend the hotel implement a 10-15 minute buffer after checkout for card deactivation and review their emergency exit accessibility.

Hotel in a great location. Large well equipped rooms. Lovely large bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Good parking available on site. Easy walk to shops and quite near town so very convenient.

Road construction works just outside our bedroom window which did not stop until 5pm. So noisy that we had to leave the room. Staff said they did not know about these works and could not move us. It would've been terrible had we not went sightseeing as you could not stay in the room with the noie of rock-breakers. Breakfast was limited but enough to just get you on the road i.e. coffee and pre packed rolls.

The location was great! Walking distance from restaurants and shopping. The room was really nice! Clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional. I would stay here again if I get a chance to return to the Sonoma area. Especially to see the new lobby area!

Not the fault of the hotel, but the lobby was being remodeled. I can tell it is going to be beautiful when completed! We did have some noisy neighbors come in at 2:00 am in the morning. They settled after awhile. I am not sure if there was staff available at night to assist with that issue? Other then that, everything was great!

We stayed an extra night so decided to upgrade so we didn’t have to move rooms. Angela and Ron were very sweet on check in and although the upgrade process seemed a little confusing, they sorted it quickly. We had a beautiful room with a small outside area next to the pool. The room was spacious, well equipped and very clean. All of the staff we spoke to were very friendly and helpful. Loved the whole experience. The grab and go breakfast was fine, not a huge choice, but the basic requirements were met.

We didn't love the breakfast room...it would be nice if there was a dedicated area for this that was more appealing than a converted hotel room. (Maybe an extension off the lobby that is more attractive and inviting?)

Breakfast was perfect to get us started on our day. Room was very clean and very comfortable bedding.

1. $5.00 parking fee ? ? - 7/2/24 - Rehab of parking area near our room was going on - so it was a bit of an inconvenience, because of less parking space in the immediate area of our room , plus we have stayed here before and never had to pay a parking fee ?? 2. We had loud neighbors on the patio of the room directly next door to us -between 11pm until midnite !!?

The property is in a great location. The rooms were better than we expected. They were definitely clean, the bathroom products smelt nice. Property is right across a plaza with Whole Foods, CVS etc and a mere 2mins walk to Sonoma Square

We did not get a room in the best spot despite the property not being completely full. It did feel like we were given the last room on the property right before the construction zone. There were very few vegetarian or vegan breakfast items.

The hotel's appearance overall was attractive, with trees and plants surrounding the building and the inner pool area. The room was quiet, spacious, and very comfortable. Breakfast choices were more than adequate. The location is walking distance from the square and from the events we attended. Having shops nearby was a plus.

I prefer to have a brighter level of lighting available in the room. (Lighting in the bathroom and sink areas was just fine.). The parking charge was modest, but it would have been nice to have it included.

The remodel was very well done and offered a very relaxing vibe.

The breakfast was okay. It would have been nice if there was a non-sweetened oatmeal selection, not just a prepackaged sweetened variety. The coffee in the breakfast room was extremely weak, though we were told it was a local organic coffee which is good if it was made stronger.

Very conveniently located, very nicely kept up, wonderful pool and spa area…we were lucky enough to get a room on the first floor that had a little gate out to the pool area

The only negative I could possibly say is the ceiling in the shower had a little bit of mold as I don’t think the ventilation in there is very good since the window does not open
