Really friendly & helpful staff, beautiful & peaceful location, lovely food at both dinner and breakfast. Ground floor room as requested. Will stay again. Would have given 9.5 if it were available.
Check in/out and access to the restaurant would have been awkward if I had not felt able to manage the steps. For someone with reduced mobility, it was quite a distance to get to the restaurant by avoiding stairs. If staying longer than one night, we would have like a decaffinated option for the splendid coffee machine in the room, help with the TV as it was stuck on a streaming home page and for maintenance to loosen the very stiff shower adjusters (or adapt for greater accessibility).

Lovely place, Lovely staff. Great room. I was struggling with illness and the staff were very kind. I got a room where there were not many steps. The location is truly lovely. Managed to use the open air hot tub which was nice. Did not book any treatments but it all looked great. I was very happy with my short stay. I had to rebook as I was ill when I was due to stay and the staff were lovely and catered for my needs. It is such a lovely place and staff are great and very kind.
it was very busy at breakfast. I think a lot of people came down at the same time, so I recall waiting but the staff are great and they sorted me out. The breakfast was excellent.

Beautiful building, amazing interior, very friendly staff, our room was huge, huge bed. Great view of the garden. Quite location. Food was fantastic. The outdoor dinning area was very welcoming. Surprised the hotel is only a 4 star, should be 5 star. Your right beside Navan town and the hill of Tara.
the light switch situation in the room was very confusing. Eg. 21 buttons althougher with 3 panels on the wall controlling all the lights in the room. a simple on and off switch would be better, The top off the wardrobe hasn't been cleaned in about 10 years. Everything was perfect

It‘s a tricky thing to tell. At Bellinter it seems like „not everything adds up“. The house, the garden, the spa, the restaurant, the rooms, the furniture, the ambiance - it‘s all just lovely and beautiful.. There‘s something particular and extravagant to it, distinguished really. Congratulations! The food was great, super delicious. I want to emphasize that all staff at the restaurant and in the guests rooms has been considerate and polite. But at the same time the younger receptionists act differently. They don‘t really seem to like their work. I perceived them as snappy towards guests and I personally didn‘t feel well. To me they don‘t really fit the ambitious concept of Bellinter House. Same with some guests, who showed up in beach shorts & shirts in the restaurant. Simply a mismatch in such a beautiful house. Finally: the flies. No idea how to get rid of them inside, but yes, unfortunately they too clouded the overall impression. What I want to express here: I truly loved what Bellinter offers, its beauty in nature, the old building and new colourful interieur, the food, the breakfast, the accomodations and amenities. I loved the enchanting impression that comes along with all of it, but what does Bellinter want to be eventually? Extravagant or average? I concede, I may be the only guest thinking about it.

We had a truly beautiful 2-day, 1-night stay. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with the highest level of hospitality I’ve ever experienced. Every detail—from the room to the decoration and the food—was so thoughtfully considered. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful, and we felt genuinely well cared for throughout our stay. The standard of service here is unmatched in the country, and the experience offers excellent value for the price. It even seems like the staff genuinely enjoy working here, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. A special mention goes to Darren, who stood out among the wonderful staff. He’s exceptionally knowledgeable about the property’s rich history dating back to the 1700s and shares it with such passion that you can tell he truly loves what he does. I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning many times in the future.

The place has had a nice little face-lift since we last stayed and looked stunning! The building and surrounding areas are so beautiful and romantic which makes the hotel stay experience special. Staff were friendly at reception. The room was perfect for us. Most comfortable bed and pillows ever. Quiet and spacious. We wanted a more relaxed dinner and ate in the drawing room and it had a lovely vibe. Can't remember the name of the soup of the day I had but it was incredible and wings were tasty. Great selection of drinks at the bar. Sauna, hot tub and steam room were lovely to use. We went twice !! Would like to try the spa properly next time aswell as the new restaurant. Overall we had a great stay and will definitely be back!
Hot tub was a bit cold the first night. Don't know where people got robes for the spa area as we didn't have them in our room but saw them in the changing rooms piled up to wash. I assume you ask for them at reception but we weren't aware of this on arrival. Don't think you can order room service to the room which we would have used if it was available. Breakfast was more less greasy standard Irish or cereal/brown bread/fruit and i got pancakes last time I was in so I was disappointed with lack of selection in the morning Only basic tea/coffee available no flavoured lattes, cappuccino etc. As the breakfast came with our stay it was decent but I would've paid more if more options were available!

Beautiful and elegant.
I wouldn’t say I don’t like…but I would have liked to know that my reservation put me in the stables not the main house. When you see a photo of a property, that’s what you expect the accommodations to look like. Some of the staff at front desk could have given more of the Irish hospitality. Like so many places these days there is emphasis on procedure that often overshadows a warm welcome..I traveled far, many places can often get you in your a room a lil early, sometimes it’s not possible but I had the sense there was no possibility because of being short staffed. That’s too bad.

Excellent service overall, the room was lovely, the staff were so welcoming and lovely. The fact that we could bring our dog was the highlight. It was my partners birthday and everyone made it feel special. The dinner was wonderful with amazing staff. We will be back.
It’s just a small thing but as we were in a room on our own for breakfast with our dog we didn’t get great service. I ordered a simple omelette and the wrong order came twice. As I was on crutches I had no access to the continental buffet without my partner carrying a tray of things up, which was a pity. We also know that breakfast was busy and when we told the staff they brought us coffee and pastries to our room which really made up for it. Thanks.

Before we arrived, we found a huge fairy-lit tree outside on the grounds that our kids immediately had an exciting time running around underneath, even after such a long day of driving. Staff were friendly, even accommodating our quirks such as having 2 children and arriving very late in the evening. The room was appropriate for us as a family and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast made us ready for the day ahead after our stay.
We had to call reception to ask for the Wi-Fi password, it wasn't printed anywhere. There is no mobile data signal out here in the middle of nowhere.

Bellinter House is a beautiful place to stay in the country- with a lovely staff and dining options. The beds were extremely comfortable after traveling and the bath a plus. We did not use the spa as they were doing some renovating, but really enjoyed the grounds and visiting Newgrange - close by.
When we first arrived we did not understand the dining/reservation situation very well and could have used a bit more information - but the staff was friendly and helpful.
