This Howard Johnson was a lovely motel, In terms of the style, I loved the trees surrounding the building and the courtyard outside of our room. It gave a nice feeling of the hotel during our stay. The basics of the hotel such as Beds, bathroom, A/C and room service was great and I have to say, the housekeepers are very consistent. They clean the rooms very fast and provide more sheets at your request. The Hotel is situated in a very good location with shopping malls and stores nearby which allowed us to do plenty of exploring outside the hotel.

Despite the lovely look of the hotel, My roommates and myself have agreed that the price to stay here (6 nights) was a little too expensive for a motel especially during a late January where not much was going on. I stayed at a similar hotel with half the price we had to pay during my last year's visit to California. Our biggest disappointment will need to be the WiFi Connection as I have struggled to connect my newly purchased Playstation 5 to the WiFi hotel to play with my roommates however the signal was too weak for the console to pick up anything. Regardless of this occurrence, Howard Johnson is definitely a place I'd be happy to come back to one day at a fairly reasonable price.

The staff was very friendly and competent. The bed was very comfortable and the selection of pillows very good. The shower had hot water with great pressure. The waffles and orange juice for breakfast were delicious. It was quiet at the back of the hotel where we were and the curtains blocked out the light very well. Also the air conditioning worked very well.

The hotel is old and needs some more updating. The bathroom cabinet had a musty smell in it (room 247). I would've like a little fresh fruit for breakfast but the waffles, juice, cereal, and bread was fine.

The hospitality was great.. Room service everyday exceptional.. Cleanliness outstanding, room was space efficient, beds we're very comfortable, the amenities were great made our vacation very even more satisfying. Thank you Howard and Johnson.. Will definitely be back..🤗

I just love coming to the Howard and Johnson Buena Park, I love the rooms clean and spacious, I love the kind friendly housekeeping staff, their so pleasant makes you feel, comfortable and cared for awesome front desk staff as well. Everything is very pleasant here. I will always book my stay here.

Can't really say I didn't like anything cause everything was on point.

I really enjoyed the staff especially the old housekeeping ladies Sarah I know they may have taken a vacation or something the last 2 weeks we were there but my only suggestions is to the new house keeping to be a little more customer service when someone doesnt speak spanish they dont want to really help but also touch up on their english because its very hard to communicate with them at times but google hellped a little to try and understand the language difference.

That upstairs was being renovated and after coming back to the room after work it was hard to get rest but i understand they had to work.

I enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi to ourselves. I loved the complementary breakfast. It was great.

The bed. The beds were like sleeping on card boards . Definitely not something I was looking forward to coming back to sleep on at the end of an 8hour walk.

I liked how close it was to lots of activities. The price during New Years was very good and the staff is very friendly.

My door lock was not very consistent, leading to us taking up to a couple of minutes attempting to unlock the door. The back of the building is also a shipping yard so expect truck noises early in the morning. For the price though it’s something to over look.

I liked the service it provided, the room was very convenient for us being we have a large service dog, I hope when we come back we can be accommodated the same room work out perfect the cleaning staff were exceptional and front desk women was so sweet and kind. Great service👍👍👍👍👍

The Location is good. The room was very comfortable and big. I have stayed here few times before, it meets my expectation. Would come back.

The Breakfast is very basis with breads, waffle, juice and coffee. Could add fruits and eggs.

Stayed for a few days. Pool and hot tub great. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming (which is rare these days). Coffee available 24/7 in the lobby is a bonus. Breakfast was great. Waffle makers, toasts, yogurt etc. Location is prime.
