Lovely, Nice an private. Nice an quiet. Nice and comfortable. Beautiful building, very homey. Just a 10 minute walk from Kenmare town center, and seemingly tucked away yet on the main road through Kenmare along the Ring of Kerry. The hosts were excellent, very friendly, very respectful. It was great to chat with them, and hear all their recommendations for things to do and places to see. It was great to see all the travelling memorabilia from various parts of the world. Very reasonable check in and check out times, and very reasonable breakfast times with a nice range of choices. I would absolutely come here again.
I can't really think of anything we didn't like. We are not accustomed to sleeping i a building right beside a busy road, but that was really not an issue for us. Honestly we enjoyed our stay quite a bit.

We had a wonderful time. Excellent breakfast (different options porridge, continental or full Irish). Very friendly hosts, clean room, comfortable beds, location near the town with all the restaurants and bars, but not the noise (very quiet location). Due to an injury we had to change our plan from walking into cycling (absolutely recommend electric bike rental at Finnegans and paddle to Molls Gap, Black Valley, Gap of Dunloe to Killarney, excellent tour!). The host was going to Killarney that day anyway and very kindley offered (free of charge) to leave our backpacks at our next hotel. It made cycling a lot more pleasant, much appreciated. Another great tip is Night Kayak with Emerald Outdoors.
Some conflicting cancellation information between the host (on the phone) and the information in our Booking.com confirmation. But it worked out and we had a great stay.

Philip was a wonderful host who made us welcome throughout our stay. The accomodation has three rooms to stay in upstairs. Philip was flexible with people's arrival time and was able to provide great advice for things to do in Kenmare and the surrounding Kerry Circle. The accomodation felt safe and homely. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic! All the tea, juice and coffee you'd need, fresh fruit, great bread and a solid hearty meal to go with it (the irish breakfast included haggis and black pudding that were delicious). Everything was freshly made and Philip and the other visitors were a delight.

I loved every single thing about this bed and breakfast! The house was beautiful inside and out. The decor was eclectic and interesting. Our hosts were very attentive and welcoming. The room was lovely and had tea and coffee available. Breakfast was served in a sunroom and the table was beautifully set. The decor was gorgeous and the hosts obviously take a great deal of pride in their home. The front garden area was beautiful and plenty of parking. The breakfast was very delicious and plentiful. I enjoyed eating with the other guests and talking with them. I would absolutely stay here again and longer than just the one night! It was within walking distance to the shopping/restaurant area and it was a beautiful walk. We felt very safe walking in the evening.
We loved everything about Druid Cottage

Hosts were very friendly and accommodating, especially when I was unsure of what time I would be able to check-in. They very kindly agreed to my very short notice request to check in early. When they discovered my reason for taying was to walk the Gap of Dunloe they provided a map of the town and detailed several trails I could walk that evening, which I did so and thoroughly enjoyed. My room was very comfortable and just the right temperature with tea making facilities. comfortable seating and quiet. They had also accommodated my request to make sure there was a plug beside the bed, as I use a CPAP machine. Breakfast was delicious, with my order taken the night before and the breakfast itself held at a communal breakfast table where I had a nice chat with the other guests over breakfast. Tea, coffee, toast (white and brown) and orange juice were in plentiful supply and I'm sure more breakfast would have been provided on request, but I had an early start to make and was more than happy with the full irish, toast, orange juice and tea I had.
Honestly, the only nitpick is that the shower head in my bathroom was a bit low, but it wasn't extremely uncomfortable in any way. The shower was still lovely and quick to heat up, and its more the fact of my height than the shower head being in any way significantly low.

I loved the home. I loved my fellow guests. I loved the comfort, cleanliness, and conveniences of the accomodations, the black pudding, orange juice and strong French press coffee for breakfast, but what I loved most were my hosts. Phillip and his wife took amazing care of me over my 4 night stay. I'd had a fun night my first day in town and spent the whole next day recovering. They were very kind to me and we spent the remainder of my time joking about my shenanigans. I really appreciated their sense of humor and tolerance of a silly solo traveler.
Everything was amazing. The only complaint I can come up with is the tight fit of the large key tag when locking/unlocking the room door. Twas a bit awkward. I did read from other reviews prior to my stay that the walk into town was a bit far, but that suited me well. As a solo woman the 15 minute walk was pleasant and safe, even late at night. I prefer a bit of a slower pace from being out of the main hub, but if you're wanting to be in the thick of it, consider the walk is about 10/15 minutes.

Lovely bed and breakfast at an outstanding value! Nice walking path directly to town. Phillip and Bernadette were great hosts and very knowledgeable about the entire coast- giving excellent recommendations. Breakfast was a high-point- delicious and customized daily. Small rooms but comfortable! Perfect launching point for the Ring of Kerry!
Rooms were definitely on the small side but we were expecting that.

A reliable and comfortable B&B, especially ideal for exploring the Ring of Kerry. The cottage is charming, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent.
My only issue was that I found the hosts lacking a little warmth (although I’m sure they’re just used to a new set of guests arriving late in the evening and departing early morning). That said, I would happily recommend this B&B.

This gorgeous stone cottage was covered in crimson Virginia creeper and the tumbling burgundy hydrangeas out front painted such a lovely picture on a rainy Irish day! Our host Philip was most congenial and humerous. He spoke quickly but we kept up and he gave us lots of information about Kenmare and Irish history too. His room tour was very thorough and I appreciated having a hot cup of tea while I wrote in my journal at the little writing desk in our room. My husband napped in the comfy bed! Philip suggested Casey's down the road at the Brooklane Hotel for dinner, a short walk away and it was very enjoyable. We appreciated all of Philip's quirky handiwork in our room and the original paintings done by his wife Bernadette. Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for breakfast in the solarium was a great start to our next day's adventures which included a walk about town and a visit to the Kenmare stone circle. Kenmare is full of lovely shops too!
Sadly, we did not get to meet Bernadette. Apparently she was busy in the kitchen. I would like to tell her what a nice touch it was to have her paintings in our room.

We liked that we could walk into Kenmare, although it was a little bit of a trek. It was nice we had some dinner options and the walking path was easy to use. It was also nice to have onsite parking available. We were a little late coming in so we called our host, and she was accommodating. We had a great conversation with our host in the morning, he had several suggestions for us and seemed very interested in making sure we got the most out of visiting the area.
It's not so much a complaint but just a heads up that the staircase is narrow and steep...like most great places in Ireland. The dining was set family style (all at the same table) which didn't bother us, but a few others at the table seemed very uncomfortable with the arrangement.
